The Luna and Her Child – Chapter 80

Profound

Even after the cries cease, I persist. I am unable to perceive clearly. Upon completion, I sense a gradual alleviation of my anger. Not the entirety of it. I remain incensed, yet some rational thoughts are beginning to resurface. The fog has dissipated.

I survey my office, which is in disarray, with blood splattered throughout, including on the ceilings. excrement. I ought to have pulled him into the thicket. I cannot allow the girls to witness this. I begin to retreat, and my unclothed form is stained with blood. I sit in my chair, attempting to organise my thoughts and regain my composure.

What transpired?Paxton discreetly disrupts the silence.

“He was a predator.” He was drawn to children. His eyes were black with intense desire for Alyssa.I begin speaking, but shortly I am shouting. Paxton’s eyes are widened in astonishment.

“excrement.” What course of action shall we pursue? He is the son of an Alpha, and there are methods to address this within our judicial system. His father will likely disapprove of this, and we lack a body to return,” he states softly. He is aware that provoking me at this moment would be unwise.

“I must contact him and disclose the truth,” I assert.

He affirms with a nod. “Perhaps I should approach Celine for a discussion?” “She was panicking when she telepathically contacted me to come over,” Paxton elucidates.

“Backyard, prevent her from entering.” I am serious, Paxton!I caution.

He proceeds to the location, and within 30 seconds, Celine approaches me hastily. Excellent work, Paxton!

-Celine’s Perspective-

I no longer perceive Cohen’s anger with the same intensity as I once did. Is he injured? Paxton opens the rear door, and I experience a profound sense of relief upon seeing him.

“What is occurring?”“I enquire with urgency.”

Cohen is well. “Do not be concerned,” he states as I approach the door.

“Negative!” “Do not enter,” he asserts. I halt and glance back with a cautionary expression.

Celine, I am earnest. He firmly asserts, “He does not want you in there at this moment.”

“Observe Alyssa!”I emit a growl. His hands rise in exasperation, yet he assents. I hasten to Cohen’s office, and I am astounded by what I observe. Blood is pervasive. Not solely blood; limbs and flesh are dispersed. The furniture is damaged, and Cohen is seated unclothed in his chair, smeared with blood.

What transpired?I exclaim as I hasten towards him.

He shakes his head, stating, “I did not wish for you to witness this,” and I discern his frustration.

“I am indifferent.” What transpired? What is occurring?I assert my position and then grasp his face to sustain eye contact. “Speak to me,” I murmur.

“He was intensely aroused by Alyssa,” he confesses, revulsion evident on his face, and I feel my anger begin to surge.

“What?”I emit a growl.

“Indeed, his eyes were black upon seeing her in her bathing suit,” he admits. Had I been aware, I would have eliminated him myself. I ascend to his lap, indifferent to his bloodied state, and embrace him tightly. His touch is aiding my emotions, and I aspire to assist with his. His arms constrict around me. “I love you and Alyssa immensely,” he murmurs.

“I am aware of your feelings, and we hold affection for you,” I reply softly.

“Are his associates still present?” What actions will you undertake?“I inquire.”

He responds with a shrug, “Should I disclose the truth?”I remain in his embrace for a moment, contemplating what we might articulate.

“What actions are available to me?”I enquire.

He offers me a slight smile. “Nothing, darling.” Pack a bag, accompany Alyssa to the packhouse, and reside in one of the suites. I will arrive at my earliest convenience. I wish to prevent Alyssa from viewing this. “I did not wish for you to witness this either, but Paxton is utterly unresponsive,” he growls, sounding exasperated with Paxton.

“He attempted to prevent my entry, but I remained unyielding.” He would have needed to physically restrain me in the presence of Alyssa. Would you have desired that?“I enquire, and he declines while becoming more gentle.” “Therefore, do not trouble him,” I caution, accompanied by a knowing glance, and he acknowledges with a nod.

“Let us ascend to the upper level.” You will shower to avoid appearing menacing, while I will procure clothing for us to bring to the packhouse.

We ascend the stairs, and when he enters the shower, I remove my bathing suit cover, which is now stained with blood. I cleanse my arms in the washbasin due to the presence of blood on them. I attire myself and prepare garments for all three individuals. I am uncertain whether I still have blood on me; however, I will shower upon arriving at the suite.

I open the glass door to the shower and say, “Babe, I am going to retrieve Alyssa now and proceed to the packhouse.” I hold you in profound affection.
