“My spouse,” I state flatly.
“Are you married?”“He enquires, his brows knitted.”
“Indeed, we wed a few days prior, and she formally assumed the role of my Luna two nights ago.”
I was unaware. Congratulations.
“Thank you, I intended to inform the neighbouring packs tomorrow,” I clarify, and he acknowledges with a nod.
He enquires extensively about my female warriors, which appears futile to me. He appears to believe he will select his partner in this office, in my presence. “Ultimately, it is their decision.” I could elaborate on Claire, Brooklyn, and my other unmated warriors; however, their interest is paramount for relevance. I will not compel them.
He wrinkles his forehead and affirms with a nod. What is the significance of the expression he was displaying? He appears astonished by what I conveyed to him. Was he under the impression that I would compel them, or is he merely recognising that not every she-wolf is inclined to abandon her mate for the sake of power?
“You are invited to attend one of our morning training sessions to meet the she-wolves and determine if you connect with any of them.”I propose.
“Acknowledged.” We are capable of accomplishing that. “I will, of course, compensate you,” he adds. What on earth? Is he earnest? Does he intend to compensate me for a companion? This would imply that I sold her. Is this individual genuine?

I do not permit him to complete his clumsy justification before I sense my garments tearing, and my wolf assumes control. I am overwhelmed by fury to the extent that I desire not only his death but also his dismemberment. In what manner could he accomplish that? Rather than breaking his neck with a single bite, I shift my focus to his hind paw. I seize it with my teeth and tear it away, eliciting a howl of pain from him. His pleas fail to satiate my thirst for his blood.
As I proceed for another paw, I hear Paxton. “ALPHA CEASE!”“He shouts.”
I tilt my head towards him and emit a low growl of caution. He acknowledges it as he elevates his hands in capitulation and retreats a step. I persist in dismantling him incrementally.
