The Luna and Her Child – Chapter 71

Arrival

Cohen responds softly, “We are.”

“It is genuinely delightful; I am truly pleased for all of you.” “Alyssa merited a father, and it brings me immense joy that she now possesses an exemplary one,” Norah states with a smile.

“I appreciate your assistance, Norah!”Cohen exhibits a smile.

At 4, a pack member escorted my family and friends to their guest suites in the packhouse for settling in, after which they were to return to prepare with us at 4:30. I have hair and makeup professionals arriving, and Cohen has arranged an extensive assortment of food for everyone to enjoy; meats, cheeses, crackers, fruit, nuts, brie, and vegetables with dip were ideal for snacking.

The women attempted to assert that Cohen should not see me as we began preparations, but I disregarded their insistence. I did not remain distant from him for hours. I observed the relief on his face when I declined their proposal. I believe he was also disinclined towards the concept. I have desired to spend time with him and relish this day. A benefit of having a simple, uncomplicated wedding is that we could relish the day together. Remain united and alleviate stress.

The girls prepare the boys downstairs, however. They asserted that Cohen did not observe my preparation but rather witnessed the final outcome. I took a shower while my companions began their hair and makeup preparations. I ensured that everything was impeccably groomed, and I was prepared for my wedding night. Cohen has not disclosed our plans, but I surmise he has located a church for our wedding rather than a courthouse. We may dine out with everyone afterward.

The girls and I are preparing in our bedroom. Serena, Elaine, Norah, Leilani, and I prepare together. My Lunar Howl Moon girls appear to have a good rapport with Leilani, which is pleasant. One of the hair stylists enhances my natural loose curls and incorporates additional volume, followed by a half-up braid. It appears delicate and refined, with white floral hair adornments positioned at the junction of the braids. It appears exquisite. My makeup is exquisitely applied, featuring glamour while maintaining a natural appearance.

At 6 PM, we are nearly prepared. The women arranged for Cohen to bring Alyssa up slightly earlier so she could have her hair styled similarly to mine. The women are attired and appear stunning. Ultimately, it is my turn. I extract my dress from the bag and smile merely at the sight of it. It is uncomplicated, yet I cherish it and I hope Cohen will as well. It features slender straps and a v-neckline that is not excessively deep. It is a tailored dress that slightly flares below the hips, effectively accentuating my curves.

It is alluring yet sophisticated. Upon exiting the bathroom, all of my companions enthusiastically express how beautiful I appear. “Cohen is destined to perish,” Leilani chuckles. Although we are not required to depart for another thirty minutes, I propose that we join the others and enjoy some champagne before our departure, given that we are all prepared. As all the girls begin to descend, I unexpectedly feel a surge of nervousness. I do not intend to marry; I merely hope Cohen appreciates it. Subsequently, I perceive Norah.

“Cohen, she is approaching… prepare yourself!”“She cautions.” Excellent, no stress.

I descend the stairs, and Cohen is at the bottom. He appears exceptionally attractive in his impeccably tailored black tuxedo. Upon seeing me, he places his hand on his chest, as if grasping his heart, exclaiming, “Wow!”He mutters.

Cohen is smiling in a manner I have never witnessed before. He extends his hand to guide me down the final few stairs and embraces me.

“Words fail to convey your stunning appearance. “I am the luckiest man in the world,” he asserts, and the affection is palpable on his visage.

“I appreciate it, darling!” “I consider myself fortunate… You appear exceptionally dapper in your tuxedo,” I whisper to him. He laughs softly, shakes his head, and approaches to kiss me. It is exceedingly slow and gentle, yet we promptly hear individuals clearing their throats. I genuinely overlooked their presence. I maintain the kiss, gesturing with my hand to direct them towards the kitchen, while intensifying the kiss. If I desire to kiss my partner, I shall do so. Particularly on my wedding day.

After one minute, we separate. With our heads together, we pause to breathe and fully engage in the present moment with one another. “I love you more than I can articulate,” Cohen’s deep voice interrupts our silence.

“I am aware.” My affection for you is all-encompassing and unparalleled, beyond my capacity to articulate,” I confess.

“I am thrilled that you will be my wife,” he murmurs, wearing an alluring smile.

“I am aware, and you will be my spouse,” I exclaim with joy. Cohen and I embrace once more before proceeding to the kitchen.

“Will we be able to attend the wedding, or will you two enamoured individuals need to postpone due to your inability to refrain from physical affection?”Gavin mocks.

“I shall not feel embarrassed for expressing my affection for my partner,” I assert with a playful smile. My friends merely smile, while Cohen draws me nearer to him. We all relish champagne and socialise as we await the arrival of the remaining guests to embark on the limousines together.

Upon the entrance of Cohen’s Aunt Sue and cousin Malik, an awkwardness ensues, followed shortly by Malik exclaiming “MATE,” followed by Serena. I am unable to restrain myself; I am exuberantly leaping in Cohen’s embrace. I am exceedingly pleased. Serena is relocating to Bloodfang Moon. Cohen is smiling; I am aware he derives joy from my happiness.

“You are receiving my two foremost female warriors,” Gavin laments to Cohen.

Cohen finds amusement in the anguished expression on Gavin’s face. Serena and Malik retreat to the backyard to enhance their acquaintance; however, upon the arrival of Cohen’s parents, we all depart. Alyssa, Cohen, and I travel with Leilani, Colton, and their son because Alyssa wished to remain with her companion, Zion.
