The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 200

Snacks

Thelma hooked her arms around his neck, leaning her body against him, enjoying his charm and goodness.

Sam Noah: “…”

She recalled the past. Sam Noah always thought things would be a bit different, but he didn’t expect her clingy nature hadn’t changed at all. She would often burrow into his arms, and this behavior completely captivated him, making Mr. Sam feel a bit excited.

He really couldn’t handle her like this…

However, Sam Noah still maintained his composure and did not act recklessly. He raised his wrist to check the time and reminded her, “It’s getting late. Can we hold off on the hug for a bit?”

Yet, she still hadn’t moved.

“What’s wrong?” His large hand gently stroked her head as he asked.

After a moment of silence, she finally spoke, “I… don’t really want to have a second child so soon.”

“Why bring this up all of a sudden?”

“I want to love Tyler a few more years. I’ve owed him too much over the years. If I have the second child now, my focus will shift to the younger one, and Tyler might be neglected to some extent. So, I don’t want to have one for now.”

Sam Noah smiled, kissed her forehead, and said, “You don’t need to worry about that. Tyler doesn’t lack love. But if you don’t want to have the second child so soon, I respect your decision.”

“Okay.” She nestled in his arms, smiling sweetly.

The two of them held each other for a while before heading to work together. When Thelma arrived at the studio and had just sat down, the receptionist came in and said, “Director, there’s a lady outside looking for you.”

The receptionist was someone Thelma had recently hired.

“Which lady?”

“She didn’t say, but she mentioned it’s about ”Snow Over the Cliff.'”

Could she be an investor for the MV? Thelma thought for a moment and said, “Let her in.”

Before long, the receptionist brought a woman in. The woman was wearing large sunglasses that covered most of her face, but Thelma still recognized her. She was not an investor.

After observing her face for a few moments, Thelma finally recognized her. The visitor smiled awkwardly and said, “Miss Thelma, I’m here today specifically to apologize. I’m really sorry about the ‘Snow on the Cliff’ incident.”

The visitor was Julie, who had previously plagiarized her work.

Thelma had no good expression for such a person and simply said, “This matter has already been handed over to the lawyer. When the case is settled, whatever compensation is due will be handled accordingly. Miss Julie, you don’t need to come here specifically to apologize to me.”

Julie chuckled dryly and said, “I know my visit is indeed a disturbance. However, I wanted to confess something to you, Miss Lin. That song was actually not written by me; it was given to me by Ava. You might not know, but Ava and I have a good relationship at the company. At that time, she said she had written a song, but she usually focuses on sweet songs, and that song was too sad. My voice suited it better, so she gave it to me. I really thought it was her work.”

Ava?

“Do you have any evidence?”

Julie shook her head, “Because I had a good relationship with her, I didn’t have any defenses or doubts. I never thought she would betray me, so I didn’t keep any evidence.”

Although Ava indeed had issues with her character and had done unscrupulous things like betraying friends, without evidence, Thelma couldn’t trust just Julie’s word.

Thelma planned to discuss this with Sam Noah after work. He was smarter than her and could see deeper; perhaps he would know something.

“I understand. I still have work to do, so you can leave now.”

Julie was quite perceptive, “Then I won’t disturb you any longer.”

There wasn’t much going on that day, so Thelma got off work at four. Now, visiting Sam Group felt like visiting her own vegetable market. Thelma went straight to Sam Noah’s office and was surprised to find him there.

“Are you busy?”

She often came here, so he was used to it, but he was still happy to see her and smiled, “I still have a bit left to finish.”

“You go ahead; I’ll wait here.”

Since she was already used to it, Thelma picked up a magazine to read. Sam Noah probably knew she often came over, so he had prepared several books she liked and had her favorite snacks ready.
