Even after remembering everything, she was still so warm, so virtuous, so gentle, so obedient. She wanted to cling to him early in the morning, making him breakfast and smiling at him.
All the worries he had would no longer exist in the future. She even told him she loved him and wanted him to live a long life; otherwise, she was afraid she wouldn’t love him enough.
So sweet.
Really sweet to the point of being overwhelming.
He instinctively tightened his hold on her, feeling as if his body was melting from her warmth. He couldn’t do anything, just like a fool being fed by her, until a tender voice suddenly rang out.
“It smells so good.”
The little guy ran in with his short legs, and the two of them hurriedly let go of each other as if they had been caught doing something bad. But the little guy still saw his dad and mom hugging together. However, he didn’t shy away; he just frowned and said, “I want a hug too.”
It was really embarrassing to be caught being affectionate by their son, but feeling shy in front of him was also embarrassing. Thelma decided to be more natural, walked over, and picked up her son. He was wearing a white floral pajama set, looking adorable, and Thelma couldn’t help but kiss his tender little face, saying, “Okay, let’s hug.”
She picked up a piece of the cooked pancake and handed it to him, “Be careful, it’s hot.”
The little guy pouted his lips and blew on it gently before taking a bite, then gave a thumbs up, “Mommy makes it so delicious.”
The pancakes were almost done, so Thelma took a plate to put them in. Seeing her holding the child in one hand and the plate in the other, Sam Noah took the plate from her and said, “You guys go out first; I’ll take care of it.”
Thelma stepped aside for him, but she didn’t go out, instead waiting beside him with her son. Mr. Sam had hardly spent time in the kitchen since he was little, so his movements looked a bit clumsy. Thinking of this man being so decisive in the business world, seeing him so awkward now made Thelma find him incredibly cute.
“I should go down, Mom, holding me like this must be tiring.”
“Not tiring at all. Mom will exercise more in the future, so I can hold little Tyler every day.”
“Then I’ll exercise too, and when I grow up, I’ll hold Mom in my arms every day.”
“Sounds good.”
Sam Noah, while setting the table, said, “Your mom is fine with me holding her. You should go hold your wife.”
The little guy pouted, looking a bit unhappy, and muttered, “Dad is so stingy.” As if afraid that Dad wouldn’t let him hold Mom, his chubby little arms quickly wrapped around Thelma, saying, “I want to hold Mom.”
Everything before him was simply heartwarming. Sam Noah felt his heart filled to the brim. After finishing setting the table, he turned to look at the mother and child before him, both of whom belonged to him.
He couldn’t help but kiss each of their faces.
The older one’s little face flushed, giving him a reproachful glance, probably blaming him for kissing her in front of the child. The younger one scrunched his little brows, disdainfully wiping the drool off his face.
However, Mr. Sam, feeling satisfied, smiled and carried the plates out.
After breakfast, Thelma helped the maid wash the dishes. When she returned to the room, she saw Sam Noah buttoning his shirt. It was a gray-blue shirt with white stripes, paired with gray trousers and a belt. The exquisite belt buckle emitted a metallic sheen.
The fitted design showcased every inch of his physique, making him incredibly sexy in his shirt and trousers. Thelma suddenly remembered that she had been infatuated with this man for a long time. But her self-esteem was too low, and she didn’t dare to get close, even avoiding his approach.
Yet, she still secretly followed news related to him—his acquisitions of companies, his investments, and how he was a young, outstanding entrepreneur frequently featured in financial magazines.
Every time he appeared, he was full of vigor and charisma, captivating many women, including her. Looking back, she felt so foolish, lost in her pessimistic world, that she didn’t even want to glance at such a remarkable man.
But it didn’t matter; he was her husband, and from now on, she could look at him as much as she wanted.
She walked over, took his buttons, and began to fasten them one by one.
With her head lowered, her movements gentle, she looked serene and beautiful. He truly loved her like this and couldn’t help but bend down to kiss her cheek.
“Quickly change your clothes; I’m waiting for you.”
They always went to work together.
