The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 185

Golf

Do you think just because you flew up the branch, you can become a phoenix? Our country has always emphasized matching families. Sam Noah is just temporarily interested in you; once he’s tired of you, you’ll be of no use. So you should keep a low profile and leave yourself some room.”

She spoke very directly, deliberately hitting her sore spots.

However, Thelma’s expression remained unchanged. She even smiled at her, “Miss Norah, you are absolutely right. A girl from my background really doesn’t qualify to marry Sam Noah. It should be someone like you, a young lady from a good family, who matches him. But I’m curious, didn’t you know Sam Noah long ago? Why does he look down on a young lady like you but fancy me instead? Doesn’t that mean you’re not as good as I am?”She poked at  Norah’s sore spots, and Thelma also poked at hers. It was evident that  Norah was stung; her expression turned ugly, and her voice turned cold, “Isn’t it because you used some despicable means?”

Thelma raised her eyebrows and smiled at her, “Yes, I did use some despicable means. So what? Sam Noah is mine now; I am his wife, and I even gave him a child. My child will inherit his assets in the future, so everything in the Sam family will eventually belong to me. Meanwhile, you, Miss Norah, will end up with nothing. Just wait, when my child grows up and takes over the Sam family, the first thing I’ll do is kick you out.”

“I think you’re just daydreaming. Let me wake you up a bit.” After saying this,  Norah picked up the half-drunk coffee from the coffee table and splashed it on Thelma’s face.

“Are you awake now?” Looking at Thelma, who had coffee splashed all over her face,  Norah said with satisfaction.

The coffee had been sitting for a while, so it wasn’t very hot, but the brown liquid splashed on her face and a couple of drops got in her eyes, which was still uncomfortable.

Thelma took out a tissue to wipe her face clean and smiled slowly at  Norah, “Norah, you started it first.”

Norah put down the coffee cup, leisurely clapped her hands, and said, “So what? The bodyguards Sam Noah arranged at the door have already been taken care of by my people. Sam Noah isn’t home, and the two nannies have been kicked out. No one can protect you.” As she spoke, she casually examined her freshly done nails.

Thelma ignored her. She turned and walked to the wall, pulling out a golf club from inside. Then, as if chatting, she said to  Norah, “Norah, you might not know, but the bodyguards Sam Noah arranged at the door are not there to protect me.” She smiled sweetly at  Norah, but her gaze was icy, “They’re there to protect you.”

Norah frowned at the golf club in Thelma’s hand, and as Thelma stepped closer, she looked wary, “What do you want to do?”

Before she could finish her sentence, Thelma suddenly raised her hand, and the club struck her knee.  Norah cried out in pain, instinctively bending her knee and kneeling on the ground.

She looked up, her face full of anger, “What are you doing? How dare you hit me?!”

However, Thelma was not intimidated by her imposing demeanor at all. With a cold expression, she swung the golf club directly at  Norah’s face.

“Ah!!”  Norah screamed, her face turning to the side from the impact.

Thelma wasn’t done yet; she swung the club again and again at  Norah’s body. The club struck her, causing  Norah to scream in pain. She fumbled for something to fight back, but Thelma saw through her intentions. As soon as  Norah reached out, the club would come down.

This pampered young lady was quickly beaten down to the ground. Thelma walked over, stepped on her shoulder to face her, and lifted her face with the golf club. At this moment,  Norah was covering her face, her long hair disheveled, looking utterly disheveled.

Perhaps after being taught a lesson, the way she looked at Thelma was no longer as arrogant as before. She covered her face with her hands, her eyes timidly glancing at Thelma.

Thelma looked at her expressionlessly and said, “What’s wrong? Weren’t you quite arrogant just now? You can’t take a few hits? Get up and continue!”

Norah trembled, shielding her face with her hands, her eyes filled with fear and surprise as she looked at Thelma. Yet her mouth still refused to back down, “Don’t be smug. If my brother finds out I’ve been bullied, he won’t let you go.”

“Is that so?” Thelma smiled, “Then I want to see how capable your brother is.” She raised the golf club, and  Norah, having already suffered from it, covered her face and screamed.

With one swing,  Norah let out another scream.
