The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 174

Clinic

Furthermore, their first meeting had been so terrible; no matter how she looked at it, she couldn’t be with him.

Since that was the case, it was better to refuse him completely.

She adjusted her breathing, forced a sarcastic smile at him, and said, “Mr. Sam, the reason I deleted you was that I didn’t want to have anything to do with you. That night was terrible and disgusting for me. I don’t even want to think about it, let alone be with you. I hope you won’t come looking for me again; I don’t want to see you because seeing you will constantly remind me of that night.”

He didn’t speak, frowning at her. She couldn’t tell if it was her imagination, but she felt his eyes suddenly dim as if he had been hurt.

Thelma turned her head away, deciding to be the bad guy. She took a deep breath, feeling no guilt; this was better for everyone.

After she finished speaking, she walked out.

As Thelma was nearing her dormitory, she heard someone calling her. She turned to see it was . Thelma looked at him expressionlessly as he approached.

“Are you okay? Why are you avoiding me?”

At first, when Thelma learned that Eric was with Ava behind her back, she was furious and sad. That boy had been so good to her, accompanying her through high school and into now, the best years of her life. She felt unwilling and angry and thought about confronting him. But later, her mindset gradually changed, especially after she taught Ava a lesson and saw her suffer, which brought her a new kind of joy. Suddenly, she felt relieved, even thinking that her past with him was like being fed a mouthful of dirt.

“You still have the face to come find me? Don’t you have any self-respect?”

It was unclear whether it was Thelma’s directness or her overly cold attitude, but when Eric heard her say this, he was momentarily stunned.

He lowered his head and sighed softly, “I’m sorry, Thelma. I was confused for a moment. I’ve already cleared things up with Ava. From now on, I will always be by your side.”

“On what basis do you think that just because you ended things with Ava, I will accept you again?!”

Eric looked at her, his face showing signs of hurt. “I’m sorry. I will make it up to you. I won’t let Ava get away with what she did to you.”

Thelma raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “How do you plan to not let her get away with it? Drug her and then bring a stranger to have relations with her?”

Eric frowned, his expression serious, but he didn’t answer.

Thelma sneered, “I know you can’t bear to do it; after all, she’s still yours, isn’t she?”

After Thelma said this, she turned to leave, but Eric couldn’t bear to let her go. He followed her, and Thelma suddenly turned around and said sharply, “Don’t follow me!”

Perhaps he had never seen her so fierce; his expression showed a hint of surprise.

“Do you want to know how I feel about you right now?”

“…”

Thelma’s lips curled into a smile, “Well, I should clarify my attitude to you, so you won’t get entangled with me again in the future.” After saying this, her expression darkened, and she raised her foot to kick him between the legs.

Eric had not expected her to make such a move. Her kick was heavy, and he immediately winced in pain, covering his groin with a look of disbelief.

Thelma, however, said expressionlessly, “If you follow me again, I will report you for harassment.”

After she finished speaking, she turned and left as if he were someone completely unrelated to her.

Perhaps having learned his lesson, Eric did not appear again after that. Thelma was busy with her major transfer. Although it was impossible to change majors in her third year, she still wanted to give it a try.

She didn’t have high hopes, but unexpectedly, she succeeded, transferring from the vocal music department to the composition department.

However, along with this good news came a huge piece of bad news.

Thelma discovered she was pregnant.

It all started when she began vomiting after eating. Thelma thought she had eaten something bad, but being a cautious person, she recalled that her best friend hadn’t visited in over a month. A month ago, she had been with a man, so although she thought the chances of being pregnant were almost zero, she still went to the hospital for a check-up, without going to the campus clinic or telling anyone.

First, she had her stomach checked, and the doctor told her there was no problem, then gently suggested she could check with the obstetrics and gynecology department. Thelma went to the obstetrics and gynecology department and was told she was pregnant, already seven weeks along.
