The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 130

My aunt’s house

Tyler immediately explained under the questioning gazes of his parents, “I didn’t buy these; an uncle bought them for me.”

“Uncle? Which uncle?” Sam Noah asked with a stern face.

“Just… it’s Uncle Leon.”

“Leon?” Thelma found it strange, “How do you know Uncle Leon?”

“I saw him at my aunt’s house yesterday.”

“…”

Sam Noah had told her about asking Samantha to take Tyler to their home to look after him. She felt a bit guilty for leaving the little one behind to enjoy hot springs with her husband.

She rubbed her nose and asked him, “Why did Uncle Leon give you so much candy?” The little boy tilted his head and thought for a moment, then poked his chubby cheek, “Maybe because I’m really cute?”

“Ha!” Thelma couldn’t help but laugh at him. She rubbed his little head, “Alright, alright, our Tyler is the cutest.”

After picking up Tyler, the family of three didn’t go straight home. Thelma instructed Wade to drive to the nearby Downtown hospital. There were some things Thelma needed to clarify with Josie.

Thelma went up alone while Sam, Noah, and Tyler waited for her in the car.

Thelma asked the nurse for Josie’s ward. When she entered, there was only Josie in the room. Josie looked surprised when she saw her, “Thelma, why are you here?”

“I heard you were injured, so I came to see how serious it is.”

Josie’s smile was a bit awkward, “Actually, it’s not that serious; I just fractured my finger.”
Thelma noticed the bandage on her left middle finger and couldn’t help but laugh, “You cried so sadly when you called Noah; I thought you were seriously injured!”

Josie probably didn’t expect Thelma to have heard the content of her call with Sam Noah. Her gaze flickered in panic, and she forced a laugh, “It’s mainly because I’m unfamiliar with this place. The only person I know is Noah. Orion came to find me and hit me, and I was really scared, so I rudely disturbed Noah.”

Thelma’s expression gradually turned cold, “If you were hit and scared, you should call the police. Why did you call Noah? Who are you trying to show your pitiful side to? Noah is already married; don’t you know that? With the tone you just used, if someone with a bad temper heard it, they would have slapped you twice and wouldn’t even bother talking to you.”

Josie’s face turned red. She probably didn’t expect Thelma to be so direct, not giving her any face at all! Her eyes turned red, and sparkling tears swirled in her eyes, “Thelma, how can you misunderstand me like this?”

Whether intentional or not, Thelma felt she should make her stance clear, “You’ve also suffered from being a third party; you should understand how I feel right now. If you do this again next time, I’ll take action.”

Josie sniffed, wiped her face with a tissue, “Noah and I grew up together. It’s nothing for me to call him and talk about my situation. But I don’t understand why you’re so anxious over such a small matter. Haven’t you always been indifferent to Noah? How many of his injuries weren’t caused by you? You hurt him, ignored him, and treated him coldly. Why are you suddenly acting like you care about him now?”

Her words startled Thelma, and she thought of the scars on Sam Noah’s body. Could it be that those scars were all caused by her?

Was she really that excessive?

“When Noah was exhausted and collapsed on the bed, you didn’t show any concern for him. I just called him, and you rushed over to scold me. You…”

“Enough!”

The sudden voice interrupted Josie’s words, and she saw Sam Noah standing at the door, not knowing when he had arrived.

Josie was taken aback, instinctively swallowing her words that were about to come out.

Thelma felt a mix of emotions and fell silent for a moment before saying, “I don’t remember the past, but no matter how bad my relationship with Sam Noah is, as long as we are not divorced, nothing can justify your provocation of him.”

“Take care of yourself!”

Thelma turned to leave, but Sam Noah took a step back, leaving only him and Josie in the hospital room. It was very quiet, and after a long time, Sam Noah finally spoke: “I always thought you were a girl who knew her limits, who understood what should be done and what shouldn’t. Because of my guilt towards your brother, I took care of you, but my guilt has its limits.”

Sam Noah’s tone was cold, like a sword tempered with frost. “I don’t know what significance your words to Thelma hold. The matters between Thelma and me are not for you to meddle in. You have crossed my bottom line, and even for your father’s sake, I cannot show you any special kindness. So from today onwards, I don’t want to see you again, and I won’t take care of your matters. You better not drag your father into this, understand?”
