The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 128

Moment

Once the music was synthesized, with the accompaniment, Jones Calvin indeed began his impromptu performance.

She took him to the recording studio, and Jones Calvin indeed input a piece he composed and synthesized it with the computer. Phoenix and Connor, whether they were bored or just wanted to watch the fun, also gathered in the recording studio.

Connor was holding a cup of tea, looking as leisurely as could be. In fact, after spending some time with him, Thelma realized that Connor was incredibly boring. As long as it wasn’t work time, he lived a life like a retired old cadre—walking birds, playing chess with old men on the street, and at home, he would brew a cup of tea and sit until evening. He loved health preservation and often advised them to drink more  tea. In short, he was as boring as could be.”Yo yo, I came here today, and I saw Boss Thelma. I said I love music, Boss Thelma asked me to perform, yo yo, I’ll perform a piece for Boss Thelma, yo yo yo, my rap Boss Thelma must like…”

Thelma: “…”

Phoenix: “…”

Connor: “…”

The three of them all had expressions as if they had eaten something unpleasant. Even Connor, who was as naive as a retired old cadre, couldn’t help but mutter under his breath at this impromptu rap.

Thelma was close enough to hear him quietly say, “What the hell is this?!”

After Jones Calvin finished performing, the three of them awkwardly clapped their hands. Jones Calvin, encouraged, smiled and asked, “What do you think, Boss Thelma?!”Thelma felt he was playing with her, but seeing his sincere expression, she didn’t want to tear the facade, so she politely smiled and said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Jones, but our studio probably isn’t suitable for you.”

Jones Calvin: “…”

She saw the smile on the boy’s face stiffen for a moment, but he quickly returned to normal and said nonchalantly, “It’s okay, I’ll work harder. Boss Thelma, give me some time, and I’ll definitely impress you next time.”

“Um…” Thelma wanted to advise him not to come again, but he bowed to her and put his cap back on as he left.

Although his talent was truly hard to watch, it had to be said that he was indeed a polite and humble kid.

Jones Calvin knew there were people waiting for him downstairs, so he exited through the back door of the office building. A sports car was parked on the small road at the entrance. He got in, and the man in the car asked him, “How was it? Did you see the person you wanted to see?”

Jones Calvin slammed his cap against the car window, not saying a word, just maintaining a serious face and said, “Drive!”

Little Tyler saw a tall uncle waving at him from outside the kindergarten railing while playing on a skateboard.

The little boy ran over with his short legs, looking at him through the railing. The tall man squatted down and asked, “Do you remember me?”

The little guy nodded; he had seen him at his aunt’s house yesterday.

Leon took out a lollipop from behind him and handed it to him, “I said I would give this to you yesterday.”

The little guy looked at the giant lollipop he was handed, his mouth twitching. It was the kind that was bigger than his face, the kind he might not finish in a month.

Although the little guy was a bit surprised, he still took the lollipop through the gap in the railing and politely said, “Thank you.”

Leon then asked him, “Aren’t you afraid I’m a bad person?”

The little guy pointed at the badge on his shoulder and said, “Police uncles aren’t bad people.”

Leon: “…”

Only then did he remember he had just returned from a mission and hadn’t had time to change out of his uniform.

There was a small table at the bottom of the railing. Leon was a person who didn’t care about small details, so he sat down at that table. Although he was facing a four-year-old kid, he still felt inexplicably nervous. After a while of hesitation, he said to him, “Does your aunt really not have a boyfriend?”

The little guy nodded heavily, “But there’s a strange uncle who often goes to my aunt’s shop to find her. That strange uncle is thin and pale, and he doesn’t have any manly charm. My aunt says men should have manly charm to look good, just like uncles like you.”

Leon: “…” Leon patted his chest, surprisingly realizing that his tone had become cautious, “Did your aunt really say that?”

“Eh, the last part I added myself.”

“Alright.” Leon glanced at him and tentatively asked, “What did you call me when you saw me yesterday?”

“Uncle Auntie!” The little guy sweetly called out.

Uncle Auntie… Leon turned his head to suppress the smile that was about to break out at the corner of his mouth. When he looked back at the little boy, his face still maintained a cold expression, “Say it again.”

“Uncle Auntie!”

Leon was silent for a moment before saying to him, “Wait for me a moment, I’ll go buy you some candy.”

“Ah?”
