The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 124

Confusion

He hurried to the bedroom, a bit flustered, and placed her on the bed, kissing her with a reckless abandon…

It was already night, but Sam Noah had no intention of sleeping. He placed a chair by the bed, poured himself a glass of wine, and sat down slowly savoring it. The room was only lit by the bedside lamp, the orange light not very bright, casting a hazy glow over the sleeping woman.

The room was filled with an ambiguous atmosphere; the sheets had already been changed and were tossed aside, a mess he was too embarrassed to look at.

She was exhausted and had fallen asleep, but he couldn’t sleep.

He squinted slightly, his gaze fixed on the woman who was lazily leaning in the chair, sipping the wine in his glass.

He couldn’t fall asleep, his mind constantly replaying the scenes from earlier, her every expression, her soft body. Everything was so beautiful and tempting that he simply couldn’t bear to sleep.

He felt like a beast lurking in the darkness, hiding where the light couldn’t reach, his gaze fixed greedily, even a bit obsessively, on his prey, afraid that if he wasn’t careful, she would disappear from his sight.

Sam Noah smiled slightly, downing the wine in his glass. He moved over to lie beside her, pulling her into his arms, his fingers gently combing through her hair, and he leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead.

He truly felt unsatisfied, wanting to do more, but she insisted she was tired and couldn’t take it anymore. She had only done it three times, and he had only done it once, yet she was already complaining. He could give her more.

Sam Noah saw the woman leaning in his arms suddenly smile and then say something. He leaned in to listen, hearing her call for him.

“Noah, Noah…”

Each call felt like a cat’s paw scratching at his heart.

“Noah… Noah, be gentler…”

Sam Noah: “…”

What kind of messy dream was she having?

A smile couldn’t help but bloom at the corners of his mouth, it seemed that in her dreams, he hadn’t let her off.

Sam Noah checked his phone; it was already quite late. It seemed he wouldn’t be going back tonight. He was worried about Tyler being home alone, so he called Samantha, asking her to take Tyler to stay overnight. However, he didn’t have the face to tell Samantha it was because he and Thelma were out having fun and ignoring the child; he just said both of them were busy with work.

Samantha didn’t ask much and hung up the phone, driving over to pick up Tyler. When Tyler heard that his parents weren’t coming back, he immediately thought that his dad was probably working hard to give him a little sister, so instead of being angry, the little guy was a bit excited…

Samantha had originally worried that the little guy would blame his parents for being too busy to care for him, but unexpectedly, he looked quite happy, which left Samantha a bit puzzled.

Samantha brought the little guy home. As soon as he entered, he saw a man at his aunt’s house. The little guy stared blankly at the man, who also looked at him with suspicion, both of them staring at each other with wide eyes.

Leon was still eating; half of the wine on the table was already gone, and the snacks had gone cold. The waiter had helped him heat them up again. Samantha didn’t know why it took him so long to eat, but she didn’t want to rush him.

After all, he had just saved her. However, the man’s cold face, coupled with a scar, looked a bit scary. She was afraid it would frighten the little one, so she was about to introduce him when unexpectedly, the little guy smiled at the man and politely greeted, “Hello, Uncle!”

Samantha: “…”

Leon: “…”

Leon’s hand holding the chopsticks trembled instinctively. After a few seconds of confusion, Samantha awkwardly corrected, “What are you calling him? He’s Uncle Leon!”

The little guy scratched his head in confusion, “I thought Auntie finally brought a man home, so I thought he was Auntie’s boyfriend, that’s why I called him Uncle.”
