The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 113

Lazy

As she spoke, she reached out to grab Thelma, but Thelma quickly dodged, leaving Ava grasping at air, feeling a bit awkward as she quickly withdrew her hand.

“I find it strange. Since you all know you were wrong, why haven’t you come to apologize to me all these years? Why suddenly come to admit your mistakes today?”

Thelma wasn’t foolish. They were doing this because they knew she had married a powerful man and was living well. If she were living in misery, would they come to apologize? They would probably consider it a good deed if they didn’t step on her.

“Isn’t it because you haven’t contacted us all these years?” Chris said with a sad expression. “I just found out where you lived and couldn’t wait to come see you.”

Susan said earnestly, “Thelma, after all, you are your father’s child. As the saying goes, family ties are unbreakable. No matter what, we are family. Even if you don’t recognize me and your sister, your father is your real father.”

Where were they all these years? Now they come to her with emotional appeals. If she were so easily fooled, she would be too foolish.

“I’ll make it clear today: I have no ties with you anymore. You go your way, and I’ll go mine. You owe me nothing, and I owe you nothing. Don’t come looking for me in the future. If you don’t want things to get ugly, leave quickly, or don’t blame me for calling security to throw you out.”

After Thelma finished speaking, she directly closed the door. Once inside, she instructed Aunt Hope to call security to throw them out if they came back.

When Thelma went inside, Sam Noah and Tyler were sitting at the dining table having breakfast. Both father and son looked at her with questioning eyes. She walked over, ruffled Tyler’s hair, and sat down next to him, saying, “Eat your breakfast.”

“Is everything okay?” Sam Noah asked.

“Everything’s fine. I said I could handle it.”

After finishing breakfast, when the three of them went out, Chris and the others were no longer at the door.

Thelma didn’t expect to receive a call from her sister shortly after arriving at the studio. Her sister told her that Chris’s family had gone to her place.

Just chased away by Thelma, they turned around to find her sister. The Chris family was truly relentless.

“I got it. I’ll go over right away.”

Thelma drove to the Peace Hotel. At this time, Chris and the others were in her sister’s office. Thelma pushed the door open, and when Susan saw her, she smiled first, “We were just talking about you with your sister. We didn’t expect you to come so quickly.”

Thelma took a deep breath to suppress her anger and then said to them, “What do you want?”

Chris frowned unhappily at her words, “Why do you speak like that? You are my daughters. As a father, if you don’t come to see me, can I not come to see you?”

See them? After so many years of ignoring her and her sister, why suddenly come to see them with such good intentions? Based on her understanding of them, their visit definitely had ulterior motives.

Thelma sneered and directly asked, “Stop beating around the bush. Just say what your purpose is.”

“Thelma, how can you say that?” Susan said with a hurt expression. “We are all your family.”

Ava also said, “Yes, Thelma, we really feel sorry for you, which is why we came to apologize.”

“Sorry?” Thelma said mockingly. “I still remember how my dear sister, Miss Ava, treated me as Sam Noah’s mistress at yesterday’s banquet and specially invited a fake Mrs. Sam to slap my face.”

Ava’s mouth twitched, and she quickly said, “I didn’t know the truth of the matter! I did this hoping you wouldn’t make a mistake.”

Susan said, “It’s your sister’s fault; she meant well but did a bad job. Don’t blame her.”

Thelma didn’t want to listen to them anymore. She waved her hand to interrupt, “Enough, I don’t want to hear any more of this. If you really just came to see me and my sister, you’ve seen us now, so please leave.”

Chris’s face clearly showed some anger. He asked Samantha, “Are you also going to chase us away?”

Samantha turned her head away, too lazy to look at him. She coldly said, “I still have business to attend to, so I really don’t have time to entertain you.”
