The Love She Never Saw Coming – Chapter 109

Killer

He didn’t want her to give up on music; he wanted her to stand up again. He wasn’t just talking; he had been doing it all along—opening a studio for her, gathering people for her, providing her with startup funds.

Why is there such a good man in this world? He clearly has such good conditions and could be willful and reckless. With just a word from him, there would be countless women lining up for him. Yet, he chose to stick with her, even though she hated him and didn’t want him close. He still silently gave.

He was clearly so shrewd; why did he always act foolishly around her?

She felt truly lucky to have met such a good man, yet she also hated herself for being so despicable, not cherishing such a good man properly.

Sam Noah noticed her gaze. He looked up and saw her staring at him, and not just staring—she had a smile on her face, her eyes filled with deep affection, gentle enough to make one feel overwhelmed.

What a killer!

He cleared his throat lightly, returned his gaze to the book, and pretended to be calm as he said, “You should sleep first; I still want to read for a while.”

Thelma got up and placed the photo on the table. “This is what Mira asked me to give you. The man in the photo is the one she’s looking for.”

Saying this, she figured he must know that she was already aware he had gone to find Mira, but he didn’t ask much. He simply said, “Okay, I understand.”

Thelma decided not to disturb him any further and planned to take a shower first. While getting her change of clothes, she saw the new nightgown she had bought, which she hadn’t worn since returning from Ashbourne.

After thinking for a moment, she blushed and took the nightgown with her.

The nightgown wasn’t particularly revealing, but compared to her previous conservative long-sleeved and long-pants outfits, this dress looked much more seductive.

It was a long, strapless gown made of silk, fitted, and white, as if coated with a layer of milk. The best part was that she didn’t need to wear a bra underneath.

When she came out of the bathroom, Sam Noah happened to look up at her. She felt him freeze for a moment, then his gaze instinctively swept over her from head to toe. He then half-clenched his fist to his lips and cleared his throat before lowering his head to read again.

This reaction…

Thelma looked down at herself. Was it not sexy enough? But when she looked at herself in the bathroom mirror, she thought the outfit was too revealing and worried it might make him think she was frivolous.

Or was it that Mr. Sam was too serious?

Probably the latter. Anyway, Thelma felt she had quite a figure.

Thelma lay down on the bed. After waiting for a while, she didn’t see him showing any signs of sleeping, nor did she know what he was so focused on reading. So, she pretended to make small movements, kicking the blanket aside to reveal her two slender legs.

Although Sam Noah was still holding the book, his peripheral vision couldn’t help but glance at her. Naturally, he saw her exposed, fair thighs.

There were scars on her legs, with a dark witch tattooed on them. However, strangely, this evil tattoo didn’t diminish people’s interest in her; instead, it gave her a unique kind of sexiness.

Sam Noah felt a bit hot all over.

Thelma had been waiting for his reaction. She heard the sound of the chair moving, followed by his footsteps. Indeed, this tactic was effective.

What would he come over to do? Would he kiss her?

Thelma was filled with anticipation, feeling Sam Noah walk to the side of the bed. Her heart began to race, and her face felt hot. She heard a sound, sensing that he seemed to bend down. Her heartbeat quickened as if it were about to leap out of her chest. Thelma clutched the blanket tightly, hoping for a scorching kiss to imprint on her face.

However, she felt a warmth on her legs; he was helping her cover up with the blanket.

Thelma: “……”

After doing this, he returned to his book.

Thelma: “??”

Thelma couldn’t help but bite her finger, wondering if she had gone too far. After all, he was such a serious person; it seemed a bit unfair for her to tease him like this. After all, he respected her so much, didn’t he?

However, the serious Mr. Sam found that he couldn’t concentrate after sitting down; his mind was filled with thoughts of her fair thighs.

Forget it, he would read tomorrow.

Sam Noah put down the book and walked to the bedside. She lay there with her eyes closed, unsure if she had fallen asleep. Then he thought of the new dress she had changed into.
