The Alpha’s Secret Mate – Chapter 187

Flavour

“It is your primal instinct,” Cordelia articulated in Molly’s mind, causing her to recoil. “We appreciate it when our partners exhibit possessiveness and ire at the notion of another man desiring us.” Jayce is unable to restrain his primal instincts towards you; he believes he possesses you.

Molly scoffed. “No one possesses me.” Regardless of our friendship, he does not possess authority over us.

“You still appreciated it when he became violent, Molly.” Do not feign ignorance.

Molly disregarded her wolf and endeavoured to avoid looking at Joseph’s wounded figure.

What transpired?

Molly turned to observe Beckham and Jayce positioned over Joseph. He cast a disdainful look at Jayce, implying that no response was necessary. Molly exhaled softly as she rose and approached them.

“We experienced a minor disagreement,” Jayce stated through clenched teeth, returning Beckham’s glare. “I require you to transport him to a location where he can recuperate.” Avoid drawing attention from others.

Beckham scoffed and gazed upward. “I had anticipated an evening devoid of violence.” I believe that is unfeasible with you.

“I did not bring you here to listen to your complaints.” “Remove him from this location before anyone observes,” Jayce growled.

Beckham cast a glance at Molly, who merely shrugged in response. He exhaled, “At least he is not deceased.”

He bent down and lifted Joseph onto his shoulder with a grunt. Although Joseph was not overweight, he was still tall. “Please avoid any further altercations before your blood promise, Jayce.” I do not wish to locate a concealed chamber to populate with corpses.

“You are amusing,” Jayce muttered as he observed him depart. Molly began to stir the crimson snow, but it proved futile.

“Eventually, someone will see this,” Molly remarked. Jayce averted his gaze and kicked at the snow as well.

“Given the ongoing conflict among the rogues, I doubt they will pay it any attention.” He thrust his hands into his pockets and looked down at Molly. Her gaze shifted to his lips, and she restrained herself from kissing him.

Jayce grasped her chin and compelled her to meet his gaze, applying slightly more pressure than customary. “You belong to me, Molly.” Do you comprehend that, correct?

Molly perceived her body as alien to her. She leaned into his caress when she ought to have repelled him. She belonged to no one, nor would she ever. Yet, why was she unable to articulate that to him? Her heart deceived her, but she lacked the mental clarity to feel anger about it.

“Respond to me,” he commanded. Molly nodded slowly, and he appeared content with her reply. His gaze lingered on her lips for a prolonged moment, and she believed he was on the verge of kissing her amidst the falling snow. However, he relinquished her chin and began to walk back to the camp.

“Wait.” Molly rushed after him and grasped his sleeve. He glanced down at her, eyebrows raised. “Do you believe you can possess me as if I were an object without even kissing me?”

She did not allow him the opportunity to reply. She seized his shirt and pulled him towards her, kissing him with fervour. He remained tense beneath her grasp, seemingly astonished that she would ever undertake such an action. This tension quickly dissipated.

Jayce’s hands clasped her hips, drawing her closer. He swiftly dominated the kiss she mistakenly believed she had initiated. She was naive to assume she could gain the advantage over Jayce.

He flipped them over and forcefully pressed her back against a nearby rock. Molly groaned as his tongue slipped between her lips. With her back against the cold stone, he elevated her slightly and secured her legs around his waist to facilitate more intimate kissing.

She felt absurd for previously dismissing characters in literature who succumbed to emotional vulnerability from a mere kiss, yet she now comprehended that sensation. Her insides threatened to dissolve as his hands traversed her back. She entwined her fingers in his hair and arched her torso against him.

Molly was impervious to the cold. He ignited a warmth within her akin to a fire. It was insufficient for her. A solitary kiss rendered her yearning for additional affection. Her thoughts compelled him to recline her and caress every inch of her skin until she blushed.

She grasped his lower lip with her teeth and bit down. Jayce groaned and thrust his hips upward, prompting her to nearly moan loudly enough to startle the birds from the trees.

“If I belong to you, then you belong to me,” Molly murmured against his lips. He seized the back of her head and kissed her forcefully. She had not believed it possible to become addicted to the flavour of someone’s lips, but now that she had experienced his taste, she knew she would never recover.

"Alpha Prince, stop this madness! Can’t you see all I want is to leave this place, to be free of these suffocating walls and your overbearing presence? Do you think that just because fate bound us as mates, it gives you the right to claim dominion over me and this palace? You’re mistaken—horribly mistaken. You may call yourself a Prince, but your crown means nothing here. This is my domain, and the only place you’ll ever remain is beneath me, forever shackled by your arrogance and blinded by your pride."
