The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 31

Delight

Following the fourth restart, Brianna sighed, “Alright Celeste, could you possibly provide a rough sketch of what it looks like? Perhaps that will assist me in understanding your desires.”

“Indeed, I believe so,” the girl replied with a smile, accepting the proffered pencil and pad of drawing paper.

It is typically advantageous if clients articulate their preferences, as Brianna can effectively adapt any provided sketch, refining it to create a unique design that meets their desired specifications for the dress.

“Am I to construct this dress?” Or merely designing it?She directed her gaze at Alpha Nathan with inquiry; he had merely stated that she needed to design it.

He gazed directly at her and remarked, “I suppose that is contingent upon Celeste,” while smiling at her.

She suppressed an exasperated sigh and redirected her gaze to Celeste. The girl she observed, regrettably, lacked any artistic aptitude, and the sketch she created was subpar. Brianna suppressed a deep sigh of frustration as the girl presented it to her with a smile.

“Alpha, this may proceed more smoothly and swiftly if my son were beside me,” she stated candidly.

“I will arrange dinner for everyone while you work on the design.”

It was neither her intention nor desire, yet she had no alternative; he was dictating all decisions at that moment. The gentleman placed a food order. Much of it ensured that Logan had multiple meals and even urged the boy to consume more, informing him that he was a growing wolf and required ample sustenance.

“Brianna, may I request your wolf to reveal herself to me?”“Alpha Nathan enquired midway through his meal.

She sensed Layla’s agitation within her thoughts and noted that Brianna shared her disapproval. “She is not interested,” Brianna stated candidly. “Why do you desire that?””

“I am inquisitive.”

Brianna sighed; she had not consumed any food despite being offered a meal. She was not hungry and was solely focused on designing the dress requested by the girl. However, the sketch was poorly executed, featuring bizarre zigzag lines across the shoulders and erratic lines scattered throughout the skirt area. Brianna was unaware of their meaning and needed to ask; she also did not comprehend the significance of the numerous dots on the dress. It appeared as though a two-year-old had created it, if she were to be candid with herself.

The zigzags were ruffles, the flicked lines represented feathers, and the dots signified crystal beading. The sketch now appeared more comprehensible to her. I was attempting to create something analogous.

“What piques your curiosity?”Brianna enquired while initiating a new sketch, featuring a tailored bodice with an integrated corset and intricate beading throughout, designed to fit snugly up to the hips according to the specifications she had previously received.

“Her eyes,” Alpha Nathan finally responded after completing his meal.

“Identical to Logan’s,” she remarked tersely, unwilling to compel Layla to proceed. She averted her gaze from him, applied the ruffled layers to the dress sleeves as per Celeste’s suggestion, and subsequently sketched a feathered skirt. Turning it towards Celeste, she observed her nod, yet remained discontented, stating, “I disapprove of the sleeves.”

Brianna did not either. “Would you permit me to modify that section for you? Are you amenable to some minor alterations?””

Celeste nodded slowly and utilised another page to create an alternative design for the dress. Instead of a scooped neckline with spaghetti straps adorned with ruffles, she opted for a square neckline complemented by a sheer fitted bolero-style top, pinned only at the shoulder’s edge. The material cascaded off the shoulder into a short bell sleeve, terminating at the midpoint of the upper arm, and was finished with a refined white satin ribbon. The result was a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Presented the sketch to the girl, who smiled and nodded in approval. The back of the design mirrored the front but featured a slit and a single button to secure the sheer fabric. Additionally, the same ribbon was utilised to lace up the back instead of employing buttons or a zip.

Logan positioned himself adjacent to her at the table. Upon completing the meal, she meticulously illustrated the front and back of the dress in full, followed by a separate depiction of the top, emphasising the bodice with greater detail. Once finished, she presented her sketches to Celeste, who frowned once more.

“What is the current issue?”Brianna enquired, her irritation evident in her tone, as the girl, who had previously been content, now appeared dissatisfied.

“You failed to affix your signature to it.”

Brianna arched an eyebrow and commanded, “Return it,” to which the girl complied. She signed Brianna Layla to the sketches, observed the girl’s immediate delight, and presented them to her father, noting the man’s reciprocal smile.

“What is your response, Celeste?””

“Thank you, Brianna; it is exquisite. I shall now call my mother.” With that, she departed from the table, taking the sketches with her.
