The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 260

Commence

Brianna appeared astonished that he had maintained his suite unchanged for her, and indeed, he had. He desired his Mate to return to a familiar environment. It was the sole area in the pack-house that had not undergone complete renovation. Only the windows and balcony doors were replaced.

He glared at his father, who openly inhaled Brianna’s scent, feeling considerably irritated by the situation. She confronted the man immediately after closing her suite door, asking, “Are you insane?”Ryder retorted sharply at his father.

“You were absent for four hours,” his father remarked nonchalantly, “ample time to engage in copulation.”

“Do you believe it is suitable to smell her?””

“Compose yourself, Ryder.”

“No, I will not,” Ryder retorted. “How would you feel if another male detected Helen’s scent in that manner?””He observed his father exhale deeply, saying, ‘I just…'”

“You will certainly be aware when it occurs,” Ryder retorted, “as I will display her Mark subsequently, I presume.” Do not ever approach Brianna again, or I will confront you severely. I am indifferent to your status as the former Alpha. I am the Alpha, and that is the Luna you just detected. “It is utterly disrespectful,” he growled the final three words.

Observed his father gaze at him, then subsequently offered an apology. “Apologies, son; I am simply elated that she is present, anticipating…”

Cease immediately. She requires time. I will provide her with everything she requires, as well as the subsequent individual. “Regardless of rank, the scent of her will linger for a week on the shaming post.” His father’s eyes widened, clearly aware that he was implicated, and he turned to walk away, colliding with his suite and remaining there, thus dissipating his earlier good mood.

Required an extended duration to regain composure. I considered placing that man on the shaming post for a day to deter him from repeating his actions. I would not even consider it.

After showering, he reclined on his bed, allowing his gaze to traverse the room gradually, absorbing the surroundings. He mused that if anything were amiss, the omega responsible for cleaning his suite would have addressed it, prompting a frown of contemplation. It was located within this area, albeit not visibly apparent.

He sat up and contemplated, ‘If I were to inscribe my name here discreetly, where would I do so?’ as he exited his bed.He contemplated, gazing at his actual bed; it was too conspicuous; he would have undoubtedly noticed it at some juncture over the past eight years.

Wandered through the room, surveyed the surroundings, rearranged the furniture in search of it, displaced all items in the bedroom, yet discovered nothing. Exited his bedroom and entered the office of his suite, once more finding nothing. This would drive him to madness. He examined every room in his suite and rearranged all the furniture. The location was in complete disarray upon his completion. Exhaled in irritation, yet there was still no response.

She may have merely been manipulating him. Perhaps there was nothing present in the suite. It is conceivable that she was toying with him, having indicated that he would lose sleep over it and advised him to relish the pursuit. Obtained minimal sleep, had reluctantly retired to bed at 3 AM and climbed in with the intention of resting, yet predominantly tossed and turned in frustration.

He arose from bed at 0600, still vexed by his inability to locate it, and proceeded to knock on her suite door. Upon Brianna’s opening of it, he exhaled audibly in her direction, prompting her to laugh heartily at him, as it was evident he had not located her name in his suite.

She was greatly entertained, seized her from the suite’s threshold, hoisted her over his shoulder, and proceeded to his room. She continued to laugh, seemingly amused by his frustration and futile searching.

Placed her in the doorway of his bedroom and turned her to face the interior. “Where is it located?”He enquired.

“Did you fail to locate it?”Brianna was thoroughly entertained and could not conceal her amusement.

“Clearly not, provide me with a hint, at the very least.” She observed the chaos he had created, not only in his bedroom but also in the living room.

Brianna turned and gazed up at him, smiling contentedly.

What is occurring?Logan’s voice emanated directly from behind Ryder. He pivoted and gazed at the boy. “Good morning, son,” must have trailed him across the hall and directly into the Alpha suite.

“Your mother left something here years ago, and I am unable to locate it,” he redirected his gaze to Brianna. “I request but a single clue.”

Observed her elevate her hand, extending her thumb and index finger to indicate, “It’s about this big,” with the distance between them measuring approximately three inches. “Best of luck; if you have not discovered it in the nine years it has existed, it is improbable that you will.”

“Brianna.” Ryder exhaled with mild annoyance, though it was only slight. He recognised that, in addition to playing and having fun, she was indeed present within his suite. In their suite, he was in his bedroom, still smiling at him, while their son stood beside him.

He suddenly realised that his family was in the Alpha suite. He had not contemplated it until this very moment. This was the anticipated experience. He gazed down at her, his irritation entirely dissipated, supplanted by joy at the understanding that this was what he would relish when she was prepared.

“You are tormenting me,” Ryder stated. Brianna replied, “I am… and I will never disclose it to you.” Ryder’s eyes widened as she manoeuvred around him and smiled at Logan. “Let us procure breakfast.”

“What did you leave inside?”He heard Logan enquire.

“My name is inscribed on an object,” she chuckled softly.

“And she refuses to disclose the location of my son.” “Please assist me,” Ryder requested of the boy, smiling himself, unconcerned, elated to see them in his suite.

“No.” Logan stuck out his tongue at him. “I’m with Mum.” He found no genuine surprise in this as he trailed behind them out of the Alpha suite. “May I accompany you for breakfast?”“He inquired.”

Brianna laughed, “If you believe you can locate the dining room.” Ryder playfully growled at her, unable to restrain himself.

Aiden felt elated and desired to engage with his Mate. Upon meeting her gaze, he smiled and said, “Torment away.” He was aware she would notice the flicker of his wolf’s eyes, as both were eager to interact with her.

Brianna’s Perspective

Logan and Rowan appeared significantly more composed and had started to integrate into the pack effectively. He engaged in conversation with anyone who approached him, willingly sharing details about his life thus far, including their vacations and overseas trips. She observed his eagerness to socialise with other children, having previously mentioned this desire before Ryder escorted her from her suite. He had expressed a wish to converse with the other kids during breakfast, looking at her with a questioning gaze.

She had informed him that he could, but he returned after they had all departed to prepare for school. He appeared somewhat sulky, as it was a school day, and unless he desired to be enrolled and participate in classes today. He would have to wait until after school to socialise with the other children in the pack.

He had exhaled audibly, eliciting laughter from nearly everyone at the Alpha’s table when he declined to enrol and attend today. Ryder smiled at him and offered to escort him to the school for enrolment to commence on Monday. This provided him with additional days to acclimatise to the environment. He informed Logan that he would confront him during a school break, allowing him to interact with the other children for a short period. That elicited a smile and nod from Logan.
