He merely smiled at Logan. “It is premature to contemplate such distant considerations, son.” That was the sole response he could formulate. That was not intended to provoke his Mate’s ire. Appeared to resolve the boys’ enquiries for the time being.
They transported Brianna and Stella throughout the city to examine real estate options for her new store, including available buildings for sale and parcels of land. She preferred to purchase rather than lease. That greatly pleased him. Both she and Stella exited and surveyed the premises, although they appeared rather dissatisfied with the space and location at that moment.
“You are aware, Ryder,” Luca remarked, as they both leaned against the car while Brianna and Stella scrutinised the front window of a property for sale.
“Mhm.”
You possess a five-storey building. You could present the ground floor to Brianna and have it reconfigured to her preferences. It is presently merely a Grand Foyer.
“I could,” Ryder affirmed. “Do you believe she would desire that?””
“To be in proximity to her Mate at all times?” “Yes, Ryder, I do,” the man replied, shaking his head in apparent dismay at the necessity of answering the question.
“I must first secure her as my Mate,” he sighed.
“It will require several months to redesign and remodel.” By that time, you two should be well. Correct?”
Ryder gazed directly at Luca. “Why are you suddenly so helpful instead of playing devil’s advocate, as you usually do?” The man shrugged and replied, “I’m just trying to assist you in securing your mate.” Everyone desires that.
“I sense that there is an underlying issue at play.” What did you imply in Toronto regarding having potentially committed an error and deserving punishment?
“Let us prioritise resolving matters with you and Brianna first; that can be deferred.”
“What actions did you undertake, Luca?””
“Nothing,” Luca remarked, leaning away from the car. “Are you ready, ladies?””
Ryder scrutinised the man with narrowed eyes. There was undoubtedly something occurring. “Speak up, Luca,” he asserted as he entered the vehicle.
Heard Brianna emit a soft chuckle from the backseat and observed her turning to gaze out the window; when he glanced at her, he enquired, “What’s so amusing?””
“You.” She bit her lip to suppress further laughter and then gazed directly at him. “Cannot regulate your Gamma.” Unable to compel you to converse, Beta. It amuses me; I could likely conjecture the situation at hand.
“Brianna, there is an exquisite edifice just down the road.” It was Luca. “I will transport you there immediately and personally guide you.”
The woman snorted with amusement and replied, “If you like Luca.”
The man exhibited extreme aggression in his journey to the Black Haven headquarters, where he operated his law firm and managed his construction enterprises. Observed the man exit and slam the door closed behind him.
Indeed, it was evident to Ryder that Brianna was aware of the situation.
Luca circumnavigated the vehicle, appeared quite irritable towards Ryder, forcefully opened her door, and snapped at her, addressing her as his Luna, “Are you ready?””
“Enough, Luca.” Ryder exited the vehicle and directed his Aura towards his Beta, observed the man’s astonished countenance, and only then appeared to comprehend his actions, promptly withdrawing from Brianna.
“I apologise, Brianna.” He expressed remorse.
“It’s acceptable.” She did not perceive his conduct as offensive and appeared entirely entertained by Ryder.
“I will take her, Luca; you may remain here and compose yourself.” He extended his hand into the car for Logan, who readily complied. He positioned him directly on his hip and observed Nolan arriving as he shut the door.
“A warning would have been appreciated,” he muttered as he exited and assisted Stella.
“Agreed,” Ryder replied, casting a glare at Luca. “Come on, Brianna, Stella.” Up to eighty percent of the ground floor can be renovated here if you prefer the layout.
Brianna was observed gazing at the building. She would identify it, as it had served as the pack’s headquarters for years, even during her tenure in the pack. “This is your headquarters!”She remarked with a frown, noting the signage displayed in large, bold black lettering: Wood Industries & Black Haven Law Firm. All his enterprises operated from this building.
“It is,” Luca indicated to me. He urged her and Stella to enter. The entire ground floor is essentially unutilised space, merely an expansive foyer.
“You request that I establish a bridal boutique in your company’s foyer?”She enquired of him.
Stella had already departed and was observing the area. The space was vacant, featuring only a substantial reception desk and four lifts positioned to the left. Three she-wolves were stationed at the front desk, managing the phones. They all gazed up at him, somewhat astonished by his presence, yet lowered their heads, uttering, “Alpha,” in unison.
“Ladies,” he reciprocated their greeting.
Observed as their gazes shifted to Logan at his side and then to Brianna, he smiled in response when they all addressed her as they had done with him, calling her “Luna.” Noted Brianna’s reaction as she turned to face them, and they all bowed to her in the same manner as they had to him.
“Hello,” she replied, then continued on, noticing Nolan frown at her momentarily. The man was attuned to her discomfort with the term ‘Luna’, he surmised. However, she had not formally accepted him, suggesting she may have deemed it inappropriate.
I stood with Logan, leaning against one of the pillars in the foyer, while Nolan and Stella conversed and explored the area. Stella seemed content with the space and was evidently planning the layout in her mind.
Brianna appeared to be attentive to the woman, and he contemplated whether she had informed Stella about her ascension to full partnership in the business. I did not believe that to be the case; Stella would undoubtedly have informed Nolan, and the information would have reached him.
