The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 213

Night

“Indeed, I slumbered throughout the afternoon and night.”

What is the frequency of Rowan’s wakefulness?Brianna enquired of him. She had intended to pose that question to him for some time.

“Currently, it occurs almost daily, whereas previously it happened two or three times a week.” It is somewhat contingent, in my opinion.

“Regarding the circumstances surrounding you.” It was not genuinely a question, but rather an observation.

He nodded in affirmation.

“It may be prudent to consult Rowan regarding your father.”

“What is the reason?””

“What is the reason?” He frequently collects you, and according to my information, Rowan may disapprove of that.

“Very well.” He nodded, dismounted the couch and hurried to the bathroom.

He returned and ascended the couch beside her, appearing content as if everything were normal. “Hey!” “You consumed breakfast in my absence,” he indicated the vacant plate on the coffee table.

I did not; that was a nocturnal snack. I awoke famished. She prodded him. “I did not bring myself any dinner.”

“I apologize.”

“Hmm, I am famished,” she collapsed onto the couch.

“I nearly perished from starvation,” she propped herself up slightly before collapsing back down, this time atop him. “My own son, depriving me of sustenance.”

He was laughing and pushing her, saying, “You were asleep.”

“Oh,” she pretended to be horrified, “I nearly succumbed to hunger,” as she draped her arm over her face. “The anguish and torment, my own offspring, deprives me.”

“Mother.” He chuckled at her.

Brianna smiled at him and settled herself comfortably, resting her head in his lap. She remained completely immobile when he exerted pressure on her. Merely smiled.

“Mother, I am unable to access the remote control.” He was attempting to retrieve the TV remote from the coffee table but was hindered by her presence on him. She extended her hand towards it, pretended to be unable to grasp it, and he complained, “Muum.” Subsequently, she deliberately knocked it off the opposite side of the coffee table onto the floor.

“Oh, the horror,” she chuckled, “nor can I.”

He began to laugh even more as he writhed and earnestly attempted to extricate himself from beneath her. She contorted and fidgeted to such an extent that he was nearly in hysterics over her behaviour.

Even Layla was thoroughly entertained and laughing within Brianna’s consciousness. They restrained the boy on the floor as he rushed to retrieve the remote, his small body thrashing in an attempt to escape. Subdued him completely and delivered an exaggerated raspberry on his abdomen.

“Cease.” He was vociferating at her while chuckling.

“Never,” they declared in unison, thoroughly entertained. They greatly enjoyed tickling their son and listening to his laughter.

“Good morning, I observe.”

Brianna raised her gaze and discovered Ryder, smiling, leaning against the door frame of her room. He had opened the door but had not entered the room. She had not heard him knock, as that would have had to compete with Logan’s laughter and squeals.

“Assist me.” She heard Logan beseech his father.

Although she appeared to be looking up, she was, in fact, still tickling the boy.

Observed Ryder direct his gaze towards the boy and shake his head. No. It is pleasing to observe both of you in such a state of happiness. I appreciate it.

Brianna rose and liberated the boy.

“Please continue; it was quite endearing.” My family is entirely content.

What prompts your visit?Brianna enquired of him.

Brianna, you. What other reason could there be for my presence here? I wished to see you. I beheld a magnificent sight.

“He smiled directly at her. “Breakfast?””

“Do you not have training?”She exhaled deeply, already urging herself to descend the stairs once more.

“No, I have delegated that responsibility to Luca.”

She observed Stella manoeuvre past him and enter the room. He remained stationary, and she appeared unperturbed as she manoeuvred past him.

“Did I overlook tickling the boy?” I heard laughter.

“What?” Negative!Logan’s eyes were wide, followed by Stella. Brianna could merely smile at them. The unfortunate boy lacked opportunity as he observed Logan ascend and traverse her bed, with Stella in fervent pursuit. He circled the bed and then the couch, with Stella pursuing him half-heartedly, allowing him to maintain his advantage, while her hands were extended, fingers wiggling at him as he fled, laughing.

After two laps around the couch, Logan sprinted towards Ryder, arms outstretched, exclaiming “Daaad,” seemingly imploring the man for assistance.

Ryder’s laughter was audible as he lifted the boy, entered the room, and placed him securely on his shoulders, well out of reach. The man was a full foot taller than both her and Stella.

Stella halted, placing her hands on her hips. “Unjust.” She directed a finger at Ryder, stating, “You’re excessively tall,” before descending onto the couch beside Brianna, who had seated herself to observe them. “Do all individuals rise so early in this location?”“

Brianna responded with laughter, “Yes.” Stella was not an early riser.

“Ladies, let us proceed to breakfast,” Ryder declared. “Duck, son,” he instructed Logan as he exited the room with him.

Ryder’s Perspective

It was undoubtedly a welcome sight. He knocked on the Luna suite’s door after coordinating with his Unit to arrange today’s training, requesting that most of the ranked members participate as well.

While Logan was content to dine with him in the dining room, Rowan was still asleep, and most individuals did not arrive for dinner until nearly 6, with the time only being a quarter to 5. They had enjoyed a pleasant, intimate dinner together, yet he did not provide the boy with a tour, despite Logan’s desire for Brianna to be present. They retired early to his room, where he was shown around before returning to the Luna Suite, although Logan enquired about the meaning of Luna.
