Brianna shook her head, contemplating the nature of Stella’s wolf-like demeanour; she found her anger amusing and could sense it, which was intriguing in itself.
“Is it permissible for Layla and me to strike him without facing consequences, Carlos?”
Nolan shook his head, stating, “I am uncertain.” You may wish to enquire about that from Ryder. Although Nathan is part of an allied pack and in light of your interactions with him,” he shrugged, “you may not face repercussions.”
“I will do it,” Stella declared in a gravelly tone. Upon meeting her gaze, she observed almost iridescent blue eyes reflecting back at her, revealing her wolf’s presence just beneath the surface. Observed Logan’s swift movement, then recognised it was Rowan by his rapid approach to her, head tilt, and olfactory gesture.
Nolan was also gazing at her, astonished by the abrupt emergence of the wolf.
“What is your name?”Rowan enquired.
“Fade, Alpha,” she nodded. “Pleasure to finally meet you.”
“Welcome, Fade.” He nodded his head and then returned to Brianna, withdrawing. Observed Oscar advance while emitting a soft, playful growl; she noted Fade’s glance in his direction, followed by a dismissive snort before she retreated.
Nolan chuckled, “Fascinating.”
“What was that?”Stella inhaled sharply.
“That was your wolf, Fade,” Nolan remarked with a smile.
“Remarkable, she is…” Stella remarked, shaking her head. “I am uncertain, yet that was quite peculiar.”
Brianna remarked, “Aligned with Rowan.”
Nolan nodded, addressing the boy directly before turning to Brianna. “Shall we escort you out and introduce Logan and Rowan?”
“I am uncertain,” Brianna sighed, “Dr. Daniel stated.”
“Disregard him.” Rowan and Logan were thoroughly stressed prior to their arrival yesterday. It will be satisfactory. I will procure some clothing for you. “Stella,” he inclined her face upward towards his. “Remain here.”
“Very well,” she acknowledged.
Observed him gaze at her for an extended, silent minute, heard her chuckle, then bite her lip; subsequently, he kissed her briefly on the lips before rising and departing.
Ryder’s Perspective
Nolan communicated with Ryder to convey that Stella did not react with alarm upon witnessing his transformation into Oscar for the first time; instead, she merely tilted her head and smiled at Oscar’s substantial silver wolf form, which was predominantly white with only a few silver streaks along his back and a slight shimmer on his face, the remainder being entirely white.
She gazed at him for an entire minute before erupting into laughter. Both he and Oscar had observed the glimmer of blue in her eyes prior to her giggle, signifying communication between her and her wolf. Oscar had caressed her extensively, pleased with Stella’s response to him.
Successfully encouraged Stella to dash into the woods for a playful game of hunting, during which she laughed continuously while Oscar pursued her. She appeared to be quite liberated in that environment. She was unfazed when Oscar knocked her down and tumbled beside her, subsequently resting his large head on her chest. Embraced him and referred to him as a ‘seductive creature.’
Oscar and Stella walked back to the pack house side by side, with her hand resting on his head the entire way, indicating her comfort in his wolf’s presence. Oscar had only surrendered control upon returning to the location where Nolan had abandoned his garments.
Ryder felt pleased for the man, yet there remained no clarification regarding Stella’s wolf breed, only that it possessed striking blue eyes and exhibited an aggressive temperament, although it appeared content to allow Stella to interact with Oscar. Subsequently, the two departed to visit Brianna, coinciding with Nathan’s arrival.
He had also learnt that Brianna was awake, her blood work had finally improved, the doctor was pleased with her red cell count and blood volume. He intended to take additional blood in 24 hours for a more precise assessment, but thus far, the results were favourable. Upon disconnection from the ECG, all her readings returned to their normal levels.
He did not believe she required additional monitoring, although she would probably still experience some fatigue, and he observed that Layla was effectively aiding her recovery. Although Brianna had severed her connections with the leads, she did not wish for him to do the same. Additionally, report that the jest he attempted with her was misinterpreted, resulting in her annoyance towards him.
He asserted that he could visit at his convenience.
Ryder had contemplated that it was simpler to articulate than to execute, given Rowan’s ongoing anger towards him. He intended to attempt again as soon as he concluded his engagement with Nathan and the Dieng Elder.
The meeting elucidated many points; however, he was quite displeased with Logan’s premature obligation to wear that ring. He urgently needed to discover a method to restrain his wolf for an extended duration. I may require the assistance of Brianna and Layla for that matter. They shared a strong bond.
Ryder appreciated that amidst the surrounding turmoil, the two could still share smiles and laughter. Brianna appeared to conceal her true emotions from Logan, revealing only her happiness and affection for him.
