Stella’s Perspective
A multitude of events transpired in a brief timeframe, inducing a sense of panic upon learning that Brianna had been assaulted by a vampire. To avoid awakening Logan, they had to depart swiftly, as they needed to leave before the vampires arrived to exact revenge, given that Brianna and Layla had succeeded in killing one of them.
Stella had recently discovered the existence of werewolves, and now vampires as well. She attempted to enquire of Nolan regarding his hurried arrival at the hotel suite, to which he simply responded. “Not at this moment, Stella.” Our numbers are insufficient to confront a group of vampires; please, my dear, trust me and expedite your actions.
She had no alternative but to place her trust in him. He was hastily ensuring that everything was being packed. She sensed intuitively that something was amiss, that they were in genuine peril, the term ‘move.’
An urgency was conveyed in that single word that had occurred to her, prompting her to refrain from asking further questions.
She had quieted Logan back to sleep when Nolan had lifted him. She attempted to undertake the task herself, but he asserted, ‘No, I will do it,’ and proceeded to do so, requiring only one hand on the boy. After being lifted from the bed, the boy nestled comfortably in the crook of Nolan’s substantial arm, leaned against his chest, and resumed sleeping.
In his other hand, he held two suitcase handles. He merely lifted them effortlessly, as if they were weightless, despite her awareness of their substantial heft. She had grappled with them personally.
He insisted on personally inspecting all their passports, despite Stella’s assurance that she possessed them. For some unspecified reason, she displayed them to him, after which they exited the hotel without completing the check-out process.
Brianna appeared to have been cleaned and re-clothed, presumably in one of Ryder’s shirts. The shirt was considerably oversized on the woman, and based on Brianna’s assertion that they were all possessive beings, she doubted he would permit her to don another’s garment.
Brianna’s hair was unbound and still moist; Ryder was carrying her, and she noticed bandages on her neck, causing her stomach to churn. Fear began to infiltrate her thoughts as she contemplated the severity of her condition, with the phrase ‘really bad’ surfacing in her mind, even her subconscious sounding apprehensive and concerned.
The private jet they used was clearly the means by which Nolan and others arrived. She observed that the logo featured Wolf Airlines, with Eclipsed Industries beneath it, indicating that the aircraft did not belong to Ryder or his enterprises, but rather to another entity. The term Wolf Airlines prompted her to contemplate whether it referred to another wolf’s aircraft. It is probable that they had engaged it. She followed Ryder, who walked purposefully, while Nolan, carrying Logan, observed that both Brianna and Logan were situated in a bedroom at the rear of the plane.
Nolan requested that she remain seated and wait before exiting. She had not conversed with Ryder; however, the man remained in constant motion. All were restless; Nolan paced outside while Ryder mirrored this behaviour indoors. “It is indeed quite severe,” had occurred to her.
They vanished the moment everyone boarded, and as Luca and Enzo hurried through the door, it was promptly closed behind them, resulting in their disappearance. It was only then that Ryder took a seat, yet he remained entirely tense.
Nolan drew her close to his side and embraced her. She relied on him. As soon as they ascended into the air, everything appeared to revert to normalcy. They appeared to be at ease; it must be a situation they frequently encounter, she contemplated.
She observed Ryder rise, proceed to the rear of the plane, enter the bedroom, and close the door behind him. She would sit upright. Her subconscious mind conveyed, “Brianna would not desire that.” I attempted to rise and request his departure, only to discover Nolan pulling her back into her seat.
“Abandon it; he requires proximity to her at this moment.”
“Brianna will disapprove,” she asserted, imitating the irritable tone of her inner voice.
“She is unresponsive; he will not take any action against her.”
She experienced a surge of anger, attempted to dismiss it, but was unsuccessful; her thoughts were racing, and it unsettled her. If anyone deserved to be with Brianna, it was her. “He has no right to be there, Nolan,” she snapped at him a moment later, unable to suppress her anger.
Stella comprehended that Brianna had departed from that man without informing him about Logan. The man had been unfaithful. That was the reason Brianna had departed from him. She was aware of that as well.
Brianna had conveyed this information to her, having perceived the woman’s anguish, indeed.
“Indeed, he does,” Luca asserted. “She is his mate, Stella.”
“From what point in time?” “Not to my knowledge,” she retorted to the man. Brianna had not articulated that, although it was probable. Until she articulated it to Stella, their relationship held no significance.
“Sufficient, Stella; it will resolve itself.”
“I doubt it,” she muttered, yet was compelled to remain stationary, despite her desire to confront that man and demand his departure. She would care for the woman.
Brianna would be exceedingly angry if she awoke to find him beside her.
What is the extent of her injuries?“She enquired instead.”
Luca informed her of Brianna’s injuries and that she had been drained by the vampire, leaving her utterly horrified and filled with anguish for her friend. “Will she survive?”“She inquired.”
“It is advisable to proceed.” However, I am completely unaware, and Ryder is equally uninformed. The outcome is contingent upon the strength of both her and Layla, the volume of blood they have lost, and her survival instincts, as well as her will to live, provided the bleeding has ceased. That is a positive outcome.
“Why did you not transport her to the hospital?”Stella exhibited curiosity regarding that matter.
“We are unlike humans and her injuries,” Luca had lamented. “The bite on her neck; we endeavour to prevent such occurrences from entering the human realm. Our pack possesses a hospital, as do all packs.”
“What is the reason for our running?”She sought answers.
Nolan stated that it was not the appropriate time at the hotel.
Luca regarded her with mild exasperation, prompting her immediate irritation. “Humans remember; I am uncertain of the mechanism.”
“I understand, Stella, that there is much you must comprehend.
