The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 155

Gesture

“He will be killed,” Ryder acknowledged, understanding that had it been Brianna, the man would already be deceased. He sighed, stating, “We must restrain him.”

Luca remarked, “Or summon the police first.”

“It is improbable that they will arrive before Nolan.”

“What actions are we taking regarding them?” It is not as if, when at home, the man can simply vanish.

“Without a forest, we can simply dispose of their bodies after Nolan eliminates them,” Ryder concurred.

“What is your inquiry?””

“I suppose we could bring them home.” Allow Nolan to remain in his anger until we can position them for its release.

“I may not return.” I believe you do not wish for Logan to observe that.

“He will eventually.” A groan emanated from the unconscious man, yet his eyes shifted towards Maddox. The man appeared appropriately horrified, as intended by him and Luca. They deliberately vocalised their conversation to make the man aware of his predicament.

They conversed casually and candidly, despite the fact that the death of either individual held no significance for them, as it was an unavoidable conclusion. Maddox now comprehended that his existence was precariously tenuous. Ryder was unwilling to terminate the humans. Nolan will present an additional challenge. What if Miguel were to disappear subsequently? Stella would recognise their involvement and may subsequently choose to distance herself from him.

“We must employ Stella to restrain Nolan and Oscar,” Ryder lamented.

“Agreed,” Luca nodded. “What prompted you to assault the man?””

“He referred to Brianna as a derogatory term; Aiden succumbed to his emotions.” Ryder grinned. Luca also smiled. “Unable to detect the woman’s scent.” However, I cannot tolerate anyone disparaging the woman.

“Negative and Negative.” Both Aiden and I desire her.

“Although we cannot perceive her scent at this moment.” And both acknowledged this. She was imperceptible to their olfactory senses, yet she remained theirs, and they no longer concerned themselves with their inability to detect her scent. Brianna recognised that they were her Mate, and both he and Aiden accepted this belief.

“That should be advantageous for you.”

“Where is he located?”Came growling through the mental connection to Ryder.

“Nolan has returned,” Ryder remarked audibly, prior to responding to his Gamma. “I have both men present in our room; Stella is with Brianna,” he chuckled softly. “Brianna has already claimed him,” he informed Nolan, hoping to soothe him and his inner turmoil.

“Correct.” was the sole reply.

Enzo arrived first, observed the man in his urine-soaked attire, and grimaced in revulsion.

“Did Brianna accomplish that?””

“The majority of it,” Ryder remarked with a smile. “I managed to land one blow.” This prompted him to ponder the extent of her combat prowess, considering she was the offspring of two warriors and likely inherited their skills. Enquired whether she would be inclined to resume training. subsequently exhaled inwardly. She remembered her reluctance to rejoin the pack and remained uncertain about how he would facilitate that outcome.

Although he had received communication from Nolan today, prior to the situation escalating, that Brianna had once again come to his aid regarding Stella. Brianna proposed to establish a store in Helena for Stella to manage. Although she may be reluctant to return home, he recognised that launching a new store necessitated her presence in Helena, thereby drawing her nearer to his pack, which he regarded as favourable news.

He had been examining properties and buildings in the vicinity for her new store, seeking a location near his office, and was determined to do whatever necessary to bring her back to his state, intending to approach the situation incrementally. That was the plan at that time.

Nolan proceeded directly to Stella?Ryder enquired of Enzo.

“He did; he needed to see her.”

“This is not unexpected.” Ryder nodded, his focus was on reaching Brianna, his Mate, his foremost concern.

He had been concerned about Stella, yet Nolan had been present in some capacity. Brianna had been his primary concern. Just as Stella was paramount for Nolan, your own Mate consistently takes precedence.

He had only ever observed a limited number of wolves capable of abandoning their injured Mates, typically selected Mates.

One is not of their own selection. Occasionally, in the absence of a Mate, the former Alpha would select an appropriate partner for their Heir. Although they formed a bond, it lacked authenticity, resulting in a deficiency of genuine care between the two individuals.

That was the rationale behind his declaration to his father that he had declined the notion of a chosen Mate when his father proposed to locate a suitable she-wolf to assume the role of his Luna. His father believed he was assisting, as Ryder had not informed him of his absent Mate.

He had exhibited politeness towards his father, yet he was unwilling to jeopardise the well-being of his true Mate, as marking another while still bonded to one’s destined Mate could prove fatal. Ryder was unable to proceed, as he was unaware whether the Goddess had sanctioned his missing Mate’s rejection. However, I had consistently harboured the hope that this would not occur.

He could locate her eventually, and now that he had, he felt genuine satisfaction with his convictions regarding the circumstances he encountered. He could have murdered her and abandoned his son here, unaware of his existence. I offered a prayer of gratitude to the moon goddess for endowing him with such remarkable stubbornness.

He was resolutely intent on locating his missing Mate, desiring her exclusively and no one else. It could have resulted in a total catastrophe had he merely accepted it and progressed. He was exceedingly obstinate and resolute, prompting both his father and stepmother to occasionally shake their heads in disapproval. When he expressed ‘no,’ he was an unyielding force, and they recognised it.

Nolan entered the room forcefully, nearly dislodging the door from its hinges, and halted before Miguel, who remained seated on the floor, incapacitated by his injuries and pain, with no one offering assistance or even a gesture of support. His eyes were both swollen shut due to the blow from Brianna that fractured his nose and resulted in two black eyes, compounded by the strike delivered by Aiden; the unfortunate man was in a dire state.

The man was fortunate to be human; otherwise, he would have been a bloodied mass on the ground. Aiden and he would have severely beaten him and then allowed him to recover slightly so that Nolan could ultimately finish him off.
