The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 154

Suppress

Ryder’s gaze shifted towards the sound of Brianna’s voice admonishing someone. Internally sighed as he experienced a surge of pain in his knee. “March,” he informed the man while returning to Brianna. She was assaulting another man, and Stella was merely a few steps away, observing Brianna confront him. “Is that Miguel?”He enquired of the man.

“Yes, Sienna’s fiancé,” he replied.

“No, he is not,” Ryder corrected him, irritated. “Stella is scheduled to marry Carlos in a month,” he added tersely. “You two just attempted to abduct her.”

“What?”The man regarded him with a degree of astonishment at Ryder’s remarks. “Retrieving her, not abducting.”

“Identical disparity in my perspective.” Theirs and Carlos’s as well.

“Luca, retrieve Brianna; her knee condition has significantly deteriorated.” he communicated telepathically to his Beta. Ryder recognised that he could not apprehend both men while simultaneously restraining Brianna.

Observed Logan, seated on the car, his head inclined slightly, reminiscent of its position during yesterday’s lunch. His wolf was probably observing, evaluating the circumstances, prepared to emerge if necessary. He heard Brianna and Layla lose control, then redirected his gaze to observe that Luca had not merely gone to fetch her, but had lifted her off the ground and was transporting her back to the car.

Observed as Stella trailed Luca, smiled slightly to himself; the woman exhibited no fear regarding her observations, appearing instead concerned and perplexed, yet entirely unafraid. It is reassuring to observe, given that she had probably just encountered Layla above, he could certainly hear Layla.

Approached them directly and moved towards Miguel, leaned down, and seized the man by his upper arm. I assume you are Miguel?”

The man’s eyes lifted to Ryder as he assisted him to his feet, and they widened significantly in recognition, indicating that he was aware of Ryder’s identity.

Ryder surmised that the man had encountered Nolan, presumably recognised his employer, and was clearly unprepared to confront Wood Ryder.

“You shall not touch what belongs to me and mine,” Ryder growled at him as the man regained his balance and dragged his bloodied face into the hotel. Miguel appeared to be experiencing difficulty ambulating and was supporting an arm.

Brianna and Layla appeared to have inflicted significant harm on the man, likely due to her aversion to him touching what she perceived as hers. She was undoubtedly a skilled fighter, unafraid of confrontation. Wolves and humans alike appeared to confront the situation directly and assertively. Uncertain whether it was her rebellious nature or merely her inherent warrior instincts.

Forced the two of them into the lift, indifferent to the glances from other guests or hotel staff. Established a mind-link with Luca; I managed to utter his name before receiving a genuine response.

“I am present,” he declared as his hand obstructed the lift doors from closing, and he entered. Seized the uninjured man.

“Brianna?”He enquired.

“Re-dislocated her knee; unable to move.” Logan assured me that they would remain present.

“Indeed?” Only Logan?Ryder enquired, which was surprising to him.

“It may not have solely been him.” Luca offered a faint smile.

They transported the two men into their suite and forcibly placed them onto the dining room chairs.

“Attend to Brianna’s knee and ensure Stella’s well-being, or Nolan and Oscar will become exceedingly difficult to manage.” Observed Luca nodding in acknowledgement before departing silently.

“I require a hospital,” Miguel informed him.

“What you require is a minimum of twelve bodyguards.” Because Carlos is en route and will arrive shortly. He is likely to dismember you, seeking retribution for the bruises on her. Stella’s father was apprised of their relationship; I also believe Enzo, Carloss’ brother, conveyed to you that they were to be wed.

“She departed from him.” Her father instructed me to retrieve her.

Ryder emitted a derisive snort, “Did she?” “From my observations, they appeared quite content and comfortable just this morning.” His tone shifted to one of anger. “Until you abducted her, you were fortunate that Brianna was the one to confront you first.” “If it were me, you would already be in the hospital,” he rasped. Although Ryder was intrigued by the man’s remarks regarding Stella’s father, he chose to refrain from pursuing the matter at this time.

“That individual fractured my arm and…” Ryder’s fist struck Miguel’s face instantaneously, causing him to topple from his chair. “Do not refer to Brianna in that manner.” “You are insulting my wife,” he stated, pulling the man up and glaring directly at him. “Never.” He growled at him, feeling Aiden advance fully forward.

“I will kill you,” his wolf menaced, his Alpha Aura emanating from him towards the man.

Aiden then discarded him, causing the man to collapse onto the floor in a pool of his own urine, likely believing himself to be formidable, yet he was merely a wealthy individual accustomed to having his desires fulfilled.

Ryder directed his gaze towards the other man. “What is your name?”“he uttered with difficulty.”

“Maddox Blighton, I am employed by the Mathews,” he stated, his hands raised, and Ryder could detect the scent of fear emanating from him.

“Maddox, I recommend you resign and seek alternative employment,” he retorted, then redirected his attention to Miguel, who was unconscious—likely advantageous given Aiden’s agitation over the insults directed at Brianna.

Luca reported, “All resolved; both women are in their hotel room. Stella… I must speak with her promptly, as she encountered Layla and I have temporarily suppressed my enquiries.”

Ryder exhaled, “Very well, I suppose we shall proceed with that here rather than at home.” “We must persuade them to proceed,” he said, directing his gaze towards Miguel once more. “Should abandon him at the hospital.”

Nolan?Luca enquired.
