The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 153

Acquire

That captured her attention. Stella was now observing her intently, prompting her to sit and await the woman’s response; she would either embrace it or flee in trepidation. Brianna did not believe that Stella would abscond, as she had been acquainted with Brianna and Logan for an extended period.

“What is your identity?”…Those individuals?… Nolan?She exhibited a frown.

“How do you perceive our identity?”Brianna argued that Stella was an astute woman who had likely observed the wolf aspects of most of them, particularly Nolan, who had growled at her. She was fairly certain that Stella had mated with Oscar, implying she had probably encountered him in his human form as well. She realised that she had encountered Oscar in person, and that Wolf disapproved of her fleeing.

Ryder informed her that Aiden’s wolf had growled at her, instilling fear. It merely observed her as she stood and paced around the room for approximately ten minutes, alternating between staring at her and Logan. After some additional pacing, she shook her head and sighed, stating, “I want to express something, but it will undoubtedly sound utterly insane.”

Brianna encouraged her, stating, “Say it anyway, Stella,” suggesting that the statement was commendable and likely on the right path.

She observed her friend gaze directly at her and utter, “Werewolf.”

“Correct,” Brianna affirmed. “Layla is the name of my wolf.”

“Rowan is my wolf,” Logan informed Stella, exhibiting both happiness and pride in his declaration. She recognised his fondness for possessing his wolf.

Stella’s frown intensified as she returned to her seat, fixating her gaze on her. “Is… Oscar, Nolan’s wolf?”

Brianna affirmed with a nod.

“Recently, Yesterday. Was that Oscar?”

Brianna smiled and said, “Mm, yes.” It appears that his wolf is profoundly enamoured with you, akin to Nolan’s affection.

“You were aware all along,” she accused, pointing a finger at her.

“I did, which is why I cautioned you.”

“And” her brow knitted, subsequently her eyes expanded in astonishment.

Is that wolf pursuing my vehicle in Denver? Was Enzo wrestling Nolan?”

“That was Oscar, but indeed, Nolan as well.”

“Wow.” She reclined on the couch, responding to this remarkably well. “He was the largest wolf I have ever encountered.”

“For the time being,” observed Stella as her brown eyes focused on her. “There are larger wolves.”

“It is probable that both Luca and Ryder are larger in their wolf forms.”

“What is the size of Layla and Rowan?” Her gaze shifted to the boy. The hotel room door swung open forcefully, and Nolan hurried into the space. “Stella?””

Observing Stella smile at him, he recognised her awareness and promptly approached her, embracing her as she reciprocated, saying, “I was so worried, Stella.”

She discerned it in his tone, aware that Stella would as well. The man was indifferent to who overheard his fear of losing her.

You and Oscar need not be concerned any longer. “I am present,” she heard Stella whisper to him gently. She smiled to herself as she observed Nolan glance down at Stella, appearing somewhat concerned, though she was not. Stella had already embraced the notion; their connection was robust and likely enduring. She observed as Stella reached up to caress his face, tilted her head slightly, and scrutinised him intently. “May I see Oscar?”“She enquired of him.”

Oscar arrived in under a second. Poor Nolan was devoid of hope; he yearned to see his mate, who was calling for him, and he would not deny her claim of “Mine.” He growled at her with a possessive intensity.

Stella laughed at him. “Affirmative,” she acknowledged with a nod. “As absurd as it may seem, yes.” she felt overwhelmed. Nolan gazed at Brianna as control was restored to him, focussing on the man and his wolf.

“You’re welcome,” she informed him. “Nolan, you owe me a considerable debt,” she remarked. He smiled at her, acknowledging, “Indeed, I do.” He then distanced himself from Stella, frowning at her numerous bruises. “I will confront Miguel and your father,” he assured her. “Remain here; I shall return.” He kissed her gently before departing.

Stella reclined on the couch. “Life is poised to become peculiar.”

Brianna affirmed with a nod, “Indeed, it is.”

She permitted Nolan to discuss Marking with Stella, suggesting that she might subsequently acquire her own wolf. Not all individuals possessed the gene; however, Brianna did not perceive this as an issue for either Nolan, Oscar, or Stella.

She would not reject either of them, but would likely select one to accompany her each night. Oscar appeared content engaging in copulation with her in human form. Already adored Stella.

The moon had neither risen nor set, yet she was aware it would. Today marked the full moon; consequently, Stella would perceive her circumstances differently now that she comprehended and embraced them. She previously believed that s*x was enjoyable.

This evening would present a significantly different situation for the woman. They should secure their own accommodation. Neither she nor Logan required that information.

Ryder’s Perspective

He restrained Brianna with a hand on her shoulder as she attempted to circumvent him towards the rental car, which she identified as the vehicle into which Stella had been forcibly placed. “I shall depart,” he informed her, recognising her injury and the necessity to prevent its exacerbation. He was aware that it continued to inflict pain upon her, as he could still perceive it to some extent.

This responsibility was also his as the Alpha, not hers. His gaze fixed on the SUV, where a man occupied the driver’s seat. Ryder approached with determination; Aiden was exceedingly irritated, as only one of the two individuals was present. Not only had he taken his Gamma’s Mate with the intention of fleeing the country with her, but he had also inflicted emotional pain on his own Mate; he had heard the panic in her voice as she expressed concern for her friend, in addition to the physical suffering involved.

She and Layla were struck by a vehicle while attempting to reach Stella.

Forcefully opened the driver’s side door, completely startling the man. “Leave, or I will forcibly remove you.” Aiden was entirely confrontational with him.

The man was astonished by the sudden opening of the door, and he indeed exited. “I seek no conflict; take the vehicle.” His American accent indicated to Ryder that he had travelled from the States to assist in retrieving Stella. His words suggested that this was a carjacking.

He placed his hand on the man, who was relatively well-built for a human and stood six feet tall. However, with Aiden present, Ryder could not only perceive the man’s fear but also detect its scent. That is what he desired.
