“Inform him that it is Miguel.” Her father threatened to have Miguel retrieve her and return her. If he is unable to obtain her, proceed to the airport.
“Brianna, are you well?”“
“Yes, my knee is excruciatingly painful,” she muttered. “Dislocated.” “I am uncertain how to reinsert it,” she confessed.
“Luca will execute it upon our arrival, which will be extremely painful, Brianna.”
“It is excruciating now,” she murmured, sensing Logan’s hand on her. She turned to face him and observed his genuine concern. “It’s alright, dear; everything will be fine.”
“Luca must make contact with you, Brianna.” She could distinctly perceive the concern conveyed through the queue.
“Hooray,” she murmured.
Carlos was the first to reach her. He appeared exceedingly irate. “I apologise for having stepped away momentarily,” she expressed to him. That scoundrel Miguel would never have taken Stella had she been positioned directly beside her.
“It is not your fault,” he declared bluntly. She understood that he was present without Stella solely because the car had escaped; he could not transform in public to utilise all his abilities to recover her. She pointed to her knee and said, “I attempted Nolan.”
“I observed Miguel.” She was struck by a vehicle.
He nodded while crouched before her, raised her pant leg, examined her knee, and evaluated the injury, stating, “I’m not the appropriate person to address that.”
“Luca is,” she affirmed. “I have already heard.” “Leave us here, take the car, Nolan,” Brianna began to exit the vehicle.
“Negative.” Ryder is almost present. I will accompany Enzo to the airport. We have an individual on the jet; I assume someone has already contacted him, and he will be vigilant. However, he appeared quite displeased, which did not surprise her.
“Did her father communicate with you?” I attempted to contact you.”
He nodded in acknowledgement.
“Contact him to rescind Miguel’s involvement.” Clarify that you and Stella are in a relationship and that you have come to retrieve her.” The man’s gaze shifted to Logan.
“It is acceptable, Logan; I will retrieve her, I assure you,” he informed the boy, likely aware of Stella’s significance to him.
Nearly twenty minutes elapsed before Ryder, Luca, and Enzo arrived. “Go,” she asserted directly, expressing her desire for her friend’s return as fervently as he did.
Luca was observed gazing at her while he crouched on the ground before her. “Brianna, I must examine it, and I will need to make physical contact with you,” he stated calmly.
She acknowledged with a nod as Ryder bent down to observe her, then Logan, and returned his gaze to her. “Why are you not accompanying Nolan?”She murmured.
“Enzo is accompanying him; it is acceptable.”
“Brianna?”It was Luca, presumably still seeking permission.
“Just do it,” she murmured. Layla would not appreciate it, yet she too was experiencing discomfort from the dislocation.
“Quickly move aside if Layla responds,” she instructed him.
She could already sense Layla’s agitation at the mere thought of a wolf making contact with her. Attempted to remind her that they had no alternative at this moment.
Luca ripped her slacks along the seam and then pushed the material aside. She glanced at him and understood his intent; he was searching for Layla. Feeling his hands on her knee, a low growl emanated from her wolf. His gaze locked onto hers, revealing his concern that she might retaliate, prompting him to attempt to soothe her wolf once more.
“Are you prepared?”He remarked a minute later, as Layla’s subdued growl continued. He was unlikely to cease until his hands were removed from her. Brianna nodded and felt him begin to adjust the injury, nearly cursing as the pain intensified. She inhaled deeply as he manoeuvred it until it finally locked back into place. This process took a solid five minutes, and although Layla growled at him the entire time, she refrained from attacking. She appeared to comprehend its necessity.
Collapsed onto the seat as the pain began to subside, emitting a sigh of relief.
“It is not finished yet, Brianna,” Luca remarked.
Perceived her leg being elevated off the ground and maintained in a straight position. Recognised it was Ryder by the sensation elicited by his hands on her ankle and calf. He was reprimanded by Layla, just as Luca was.
She maintained her eyes shut, sensed a rigid object slide beneath the back of her leg, and subsequently braced the rear of her knee, feeling it roll over the front of her knee. She then opened her eyes to observe their actions.
They were affixing a brace to her knee. Luca gazed directly at her and instructed, “Breathe in.”
She complied, and he simultaneously tightened the two straps of the brace, one positioned above her knee and the other below, causing her to grit her teeth as pain surged through her knee once again.
“All completed,” Luca declared. “We require some ice.” It requires icing to diminish the swelling.
“We must proceed to assist in retrieving Stella.” Brianna exhaled deeply and then elevated herself into a seated posture.
“You require rest and analgesics, Brianna,” stated Ryder.
“It’s acceptable,” she murmured, as the pain diminished. She reached into her pocket, retrieved the car keys, and threw them to Luca. “Let us proceed.” She could already sense that Layla was engaged in healing her knee, which was enveloped in a gentle tingling sensation.
“Brianna, you require rest,” Luca admonished her with a frown.
“I desire to strike Philip in the face.” She gradually retreated into the car’s backseat, cautiously drawing her leg inside.
She then glared at both of them; when neither moved, they merely stared at her through the open car door. “I am unable to drive,” she retorted, exasperated that they had not yet departed.
