The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 123

Accurate

Logan exhaled, recognising the limited options available to him. “Enzo preferred not to approach you directly, believing it was more appropriate for me to convey the message.” He communicated with me telepathically while I awaited your composure, informing Brianna that he would collect her at 6. Enzo remarked that she appeared quite perplexed and speculated that she may genuinely believe us.

He stood gazing at the man, as it appeared his associates had assumed control of the situation, a topic he intended to address with her during dinner. Inform her that he had sensed it, rejected its validity, attempted to address the issue, and express regret for his prolonged ignorance and the resultant suffering he caused her. He surmised that much of that had been accomplished on his behalf.

Is she willing to have dinner with him at this moment? “Did she utter any remarks?””

I am not aware of any such information; you may wish to consult Enzo. Logan, please be aware that both of us shared your anger regarding her disrespect and dismissal of you and your request. “We were merely attempting to assist you.” It appeared he was contemplating repercussions for exceeding their authority.

Ryder acknowledged, “I am not especially displeased with either of you.” He was not, in fact, feeling somewhat more composed regarding his circumstances; they appeared to have alleviated his stress and that of his wolf. “I would have preferred to handle it myself, but…” It has been released now, therefore…

“Thank you, Logan.” Neither Enzo nor I desire to receive a beating from you.

Ryder furrowed his brow while observing the man, then recognised that he was merely attempting to alleviate the atmosphere.

“Another occasion, I see.” I am confident you will falter at some point.

“It is possible that I have already accomplished that.” “You are simply oblivious to it,” he murmured, avoiding eye contact with Ryder.

Attracted Ryder’s attention, “What did you do?” Luca shook his head, stating, “We will discuss it another time, back in the pack.” It is permissible to postpone. Hurry, you still need to address the situation with Stella.

“Stella is well; Brianna nearly persuaded that woman to wed Nolan, necessitating the use of earplugs every night henceforth.”

Luca scoffed, “You could simply instruct him to refrain from doing that.”

“Indeed, I am confident that would be effective,” Ryder murmured. His injured Gamma exhibited a lack of control, and he was certain that, despite any command issued, both the man and his wolf would circumvent it in some manner. He checked his watch; it was just past 2 PM, and dinner was scheduled for 6 PM. Where is dinner?“He inquired.”

“Our suite will be occupied solely by Nolan, while the remainder of us will vacate the premises.”

“Understood.” Ryder affirmed, “I require a suit.” Let us procure some suitable attire.

Brianna’s Perspective

Brianna was gazing out the window of her hotel suite. She remained uncertain about how to interpret everything she had heard from Luca, the Pack Beta, and Enzo, the Pack Delta. She was completely unaware whether any of the statements made by either party were accurate. Both of their demeanours corresponded with their statements. She had heard of their concern for the Alpha.

How could they ascertain that she had indeed expressed a rejection? They could not have known that. Why would either of them make such statements if they were unaware? It lacked clarity for her. Ryder was unaware of her identity at the time; therefore, it could not have influenced him in any manner.

At that time, she was uncertain whether her rejection would be effective, given that only one of them comprehended their relationship.  Brianna understood that for a rejection to be effective, both parties must be aware of their identities, be present in person, and the recipient of the rejection must verbally acknowledge it.

The school conducted classes on the Mate Bond, ensuring that everyone comprehended its mechanics, including the encounter with one’s mate and the identification through scent. The anticipated procedure. The acceptance or rejection of your Mate must be accompanied by a formal declaration, including the name and title of the individual issuing the rejection, despite the general disapproval of such actions; most individuals are encouraged to embrace their bond.

There was, however, only one lesson regarding the rejection of one’s Mate. Due to the majority of wolves not rejecting one another, they were attracted to each other and were either unable or unwilling to sever the bond of companionship with their counterpart. It was reported to be painful. Indeed, it had been.

Instances of it had occurred. Typically associated with the two wolves possessing traumatic histories or harbouring animosity prior to discovering their status as Goddess-Gifted Mates, some would nonetheless reluctantly accept one another, permitting their bond to develop and thrive. It was asserted that they could transcend their past and cultivate love, their connection sufficiently robust to unite them.

“Mother?””

Brianna directed her gaze towards Logan. “What is the matter, dear?”“She enquired of him.”

Is what they stated accurate? He enquired of her, evidently having contemplated the matter himself, as he had been present to overhear both Luca and Enzo’s remarks.
