Nolan was pacing, listening to Brianna attempt to elucidate his occupation.
Ryder directed his gaze towards Logan. He concentrated on that room, listening attentively; it appeared this would be his initial explanation of any matter.
Brianna was attempting to correlate Nolan’s occupation with the human realm as effectively as possible. That caused Ryder to smile slightly; she was indeed assisting in persuading Stella to become Nolan’s Mate. This was beneficial not only for Stella and Nolan, but it also demonstrated to him that she was not entirely opposed to a Mate Bond.
She was actively persuading Stella to accompany Nolan to the Pack, seemingly desiring her friend’s happiness.
Although it pained him to hear her assert that no one cared for her or regarded her in that manner, he sighed heavily upon hearing her claim that he only cared for his son and nothing beyond that. Logan’s gaze was fixed on him, filled with accusation; Rowan was unmistakably present in that moment. He was also infuriated by that statement.
“That is inaccurate,” Ryder stated gently to both of them. The boy and his wolf clearly did not believe him, and his declaration was profoundly revealing: “I will not reside with you.” “Not without mother,” the boy asserted, his words laced with anger. His eyes oscillated between his wolf and himself, both in concordance.
“I will not separate you from your mother.” I request both of you to return home. “To be a family,” he informed him. Facilitating the boy’s comprehension may ameliorate the situation.
Ryder was reluctant to exploit him in this manner, yet it was evident that Logan comprehended their predicament, or Brianna had informed him that Ryder could effortlessly retrieve him at any moment, as he was the Alpha of a Pack.
The boy’s gaze returned to his plate, indicating his reluctance to engage in conversation. He resembled his mother, and given that she was his sole influence, it was inevitable that he would emulate her. This may prove to be more challenging than he anticipated.
I observed Nolan express gratitude to Brianna for her assistance, and then saw her exit Nolan’s room alone, leaving Stella and Nolan together.
He was supposed to be there to converse. She surveyed them; they were all observing her. Their astonishment stemmed primarily from her unexpected assistance to Nolan in retaining his Mate. She likely persuaded her friend to marry, observed her as she comforted Logan that Stella was fine, and heard Enzo express gratitude for her assistance. She expressed indifference, stating that her actions were not intended for Nolan. She desired her friend’s happiness, even at the cost of her own.
Noted that Stella would probably remain there henceforth, then simply informed him that she and Logan could depart. She had arrived here solely as he had anticipated. Dedicated to Stella.
Attempting to persuade her to remain, even imploring her with a plea. It was ineffective, merely provoking her to remark, “I do not belong there, and never did.” That pained him; she was meant to be there, and had always been meant to be there, alongside him.
Attempted once more to convey to her that she belonged there, expressed his desire for her presence, reached out to touch her, and sought to make her aware that their Mate Bond remained unbroken. He was aware that she could detect his scent, which was indisputable, yet it had been an extended period since her departure, and she had never experienced any pangs of betrayal. She would have likely persuaded herself that her rejection was, in fact, a straightforward conclusion to reach. However, perceiving his scent would also perplex her.
Observed her deliberately retreat from him, distancing herself from his outstretched hand. This was not the inaugural instance either. He was uncertain whether she wished to avoid contact with all wolves or merely with him. She had cautioned both his Beta and Gamma against touching her, asserting that they would lose their hands if they did so. Thus, it may not have been solely his responsibility.
I instructed him with a firm ‘No’ regarding his request to return and depart, even employing the term ‘please.’ Despite his desire for her return, she was unwilling to come home. He could not disengage from her; instead, he positioned himself directly in front of her, exercising caution to avoid physical contact, as he feared it might provoke Layla.
He attempted to convey his understanding, acknowledging that her existence within the pack was unpleasant, and expressed his apologies to her for it.
He was virtually imploring her to dine with him. He had never been required to do so; most desired to dine with him. He had never needed to implore for anything in his life, as he was the Alpha and consistently obtained his desires.
Here he was, an Alpha imploring a rogue female for a single meal, to facilitate a private conversation and resolve their issues. He preferred not to engage in this discussion in the presence of their son. That was the reason he requested a private dinner.
