“I refuse to revert to a state of invisibility within a group,” she asserted plainly.
“I am not requesting that of you.” He frowned deeply, realising that throughout the entire conversation, she had not once uttered his actual name or Nolan’s, instead employing the terms ‘you’ and ‘him.’ It appeared she was deliberately evading the use of his name. He realised that she probably had not articulated it aloud in a considerable time, and doing so might genuinely inflict pain upon her.
The phrase ‘you and yours’ was troubling him, as he contemplated whether she referred to her inclusion in his pack, where she might witness him with other she-wolves, including his lovers.
Furthermore, reverting to invisibility made him recognise that this was how she had experienced her upbringing within the pack, feeling unnoticed as no one could remember her, which troubled him significantly. Wolves are social animals, and he was aware that she had been solitary since the age of ten. I was unaware of how she managed to endure that situation and survive for such an extended period. I intended to enquire with her, but I was unsuccessful in discussing the pack at that moment. He surmised that it was not prepared.
I desire the return of Stella. “You will have her returned to this room,” she abruptly commanded him, attempting to compel him to act as an Alpha according to her wishes. Presumably accustomed to achieving her desires in the human realm. Alternatively, she believed that possessing Logan would provide her with leverage to obtain her desires.
“Brianna, retrieve her personally; she is in room 1008 on the 10th floor,” he asserted, unwilling to acquiesce to her request. While she may have Logan, he possessed Stella. “Bring Logan lunch at 12:30,” he stated before turning and walking away, visibly irritated by her defiance, and on the verge of losing his temper.
She was not the sole individual grappling with their unattainable bond; she mistakenly believed she was the only one affected by her lack of scent. She was gravely mistaken, and if she were to grant him one hour of her time, he would elucidate the matter to her.
Ryder encountered Stella exiting his suite as he walked down the hallway to his room on the 10th floor. “Sienna, please return to the room,” he requested. I cannot have Nolan pursuing you incessantly at this time.
She gazed directly at him, biting her lip upon the realisation that Nolan was not going to simply abandon her, as he presumed. She glanced past him, searching for Nolan, and he was aware of it. “May we converse, Stella, you and I?” He approached her directly. “It would be preferable to discuss this indoors.” He fully opened the door, and upon her exhalation, he guided her back into the room.
He escorted her to the lounge and gestured for her to take a seat, “Brianna is concerned about you.” I informed her that she may come to retrieve you personally, and we can all dine together.
“Um.”
“Kindly remain here, Stella.” I require Brianna’s consent for this matter.
“More is occurring than you realize.” He approached and retrieved a bottle of water from the minibar, which she not only accepted but also consumed a third of.
“Excuse me, have you seen my phone?””
“I believe Nolan possesses it,” Ryder informed her while seated across from her, eliciting a frown in response to this revelation. “He is rather possessive, Stella, and Nolan is unlikely to relinquish you.” More than merely likes you.
“I believe he desires for you to reside in Florida with all of us within the Wood Industries gated community.”
Observed her nearly suffocate on a gulp of water she had been consuming. Subsequently, she simply gazed at him. The reaction he anticipated, owing to Nolan’s unconventional methodology. He smiled directly at her, stating, “I have approved it, in case you were curious.”
“I am unable to do that.” “I will be managing Brianna’s new store in just a month’s time,” she finally articulated.
“Hmm, a hiccup,” he acknowledged. I would like Brianna and Logan to return as well. All three of you would be welcomed.
She observed her frown and stated, “Brianna is not going to do that,” directly to him.
“What is the reason for not proceeding?”“Stella might provide him with information he lacked, which could assist in persuading Brianna to return home.”
“Um…”
“It is acceptable, Stella.” You may simply articulate it. I can endure an insult; I believe you have already referred to me by several unflattering names, despite your lack of acquaintance with me, and those remarks were unwarranted.
I observed guilt manifest on her face before her gaze averted from him. “Brianna is my friend, Mr. Wood, and you have harmed her.”
“Indeed, that is her assertion.” What if I were to inform you? That is not entirely accurate.
She resumed gazing at him now. He found it intriguing, contemplating whether Brianna had deceived her. “It is inconsequential; she will not return, nor do I hold her accountable.” Desire to be in proximity to the child you are about to wed.
“What?” An offspring? “I am not getting married,” he frowned, then recognised she was referring to his sister. “Sadie,” he clarified, shaking his head. “Stella, Sadie is my younger sister, not a prospective spouse.” I informed Brianna this morning. That was precisely the reason I sought to contact her, to convey that information.
“Oh!””
“Oh, indeed,” Ryder affirmed, “discovering the truth about Logan was utterly shocking.” Indeed, without your assistance, I would probably remain unaware regarding my son.
“What?” “I did not disclose any information,” she replied, shaking her head.
“No, you did not,” he conceded. “However, my associate, Luca, overheard you enquire of Brianna at the store in Colorado whether I was the boys’ father.” “You mentioned, ‘Has the same eyes.’”
