“Slumbering?”“She inquired.”
Heard him chuckle, “Indeed, she has exhausted Brianna; she is my mate and, well.”
“You are inconsiderate, Carlos; she is a human being.” She retorted and terminated the call.
Logan observed her with concern, prompting her to sigh, “Aunt Stella is fine, just…” Did you observe the other man at the door earlier?”
He affirmed, “Blonde male.”
“That is him, seemingly fond of Aunt Stella, who is in his hotel room upstairs.”
“He is not human,” he scowled at her. “Is Aunt Stella similar to us?””
“No,” she replied, shaking her head. “However, there are instances when wolves and humans are drawn to one another.”
“Similar to boyfriend and girlfriend.”
“Indeed, that individual, Carlos, desires Aunt Stella for his…” “You could refer to her as a wife.”
Logan was now frowning, “But she is unaware of his true nature, correct?””
“I believe I have only encountered him twice prior.” Wolves differ from humans in their relational dynamics; it is complex.
“What is the mechanism behind that?”He appeared abruptly inquisitive.
“Let us defer that discussion for the time being; you are too young for such a conversation.”
He protruded his tongue at her, and she responded with a smile. At the very least, he had exhibited an improvement in his mood.
Ryder’s Perspective
Ryder stood once more before Brianna’s chamber. He had allowed her solitude for a continuous two-hour interval, providing her the opportunity to acclimatise not only to his presence and desire for conversation but also to the awareness that he was informed about Logan. Contemplate the proposal to engage in a face-to-face discussion with him.
Would have also allowed her time to contemplate his desire for her to return home and reintegrate into the pack. He anticipated that this time he would receive an introduction to his son as well. That was an urgent issue for him.
She had not opened her hotel door or attempted to exit, likely aware that she would be monitored by his unit, a situation she would undoubtedly disapprove of. However, he had no alternative at this juncture; he would not abandon her or his son unprotected, vulnerable to abduction, especially after he had just located her himself.
Brianna attempted to contact Stella to enquire about her well-being. He contemplated. She had not returned from her visit to the new store, presumably concerned about the woman. Nolan answered Stella’s phone, wishing to prevent her ex from contacting her, and he sensed that the man would not easily relinquish his pursuit of Stella. He intended to answer the phone when he called. To assertively reprimand that individual and instruct him to depart.
Brianna reportedly referred to him as an a*s-hole because he had appropriated Stella, a human, for himself. Brianna would be aware of the regulations. All were educated within the pack, and the Mate Bond constituted one of the mandatory subjects, equipping them to manage a human Mate should the situation arise.
Nolan informed her that Stella was his Mate; however, according to all accounts, this did not appear to affect Brianna, who remained irate and reiterated that Stella was human. Nolan was displeased by the affront. He was indeed quite irritated by it.
Ryder informed him, “Well Nolan, she is correct; Brianna is destined to be the future Luna of the Pack, so accept it.” This elicited complete silence from his Gamma. It likely made Nolan aware that he was imposing additional stress on their Luna, who was his primary responsibility, during a particularly stressful situation. Particularly with Stella not only serving as Brianna’s employee but also seemingly being her closest friend.
He had been reprimanded by his Luna, or soon-to-be Luna, if Ryder had his preference. Ryder appreciated that she had forcefully reprimanded him for his conduct. As her rightful authority permitted, being the Luna and a member of the pack, she could have imposed a substantial punishment.
The man was approaching the situation entirely incorrectly regarding his human mate, and if Brianna wished to reprimand Nolan, Ryder would support her, likely smiling throughout the encounter. She exhibited a formidable will and appeared indifferent to whom she conversed with and the manner of her communication. He presumed he already possessed Luna’s aura of authority, albeit unconsciously.
It is probable that she attributed her behaviour to being a rogue, lacking guidance from others.
Brianna opened the door and stared at him, appearing quite annoyed that he had returned before her again. Then, she looked past him, searching for his Gamma. Probably intended to confront him directly. Nolan is not present, but please, Brianna, feel free to reprimand him for his behaviour. “His mother has already done so,” he said with a faint smile.
“Where is Stella?”“She enquired immediately.”
“In our upstairs suite.” She remains asleep. Ryder acknowledged a minor issue, which she was already aware of.
“I am fully cognisant of that fact.” “You lack control over your own Gamma,” she retorted, a hint of anger evident in her tone.
