Brianna was fully aware that he could not detect her scent, although he was quite confident that she could perceive his, a capability she had possessed since his initial entrance into her studio in Colorado.
Brianna’s Perspective
Logan was gazing directly at her. She recognised that he now had enquiries regarding Ryder, whose wolf had recently asserted dominance over his own; it was probable that if Ben’s son sensed the connection, Rowan did as well. She exhaled deeply and gestured for him to take a seat. She would be unable to refute it.
His wolf would never trust her, especially now that they confronted his father directly.
“Is that a man?”Observed him biting his lip.
“Is that your father?”Brianna completed his inquiry, affirming, “Yes, he is,” as she nodded.
“He was unaware of my existence, was he not?”She observed as those eyes, resembling his father’s, directed towards her.
“No, I never informed him…Frankly, Logan, I had no intention of doing so.” She conveyed to him candidly.
“What is the reason for not proceeding?” Is he unkind like the others?“expressed concern.”
“It is merely complicated.” Brianna could not disclose to him that the man outside would never acknowledge her as his Mate. I had not yet explained to him the concept of a Mate or its functioning, and I was reluctant to do so. Given the trajectory of her life, her intention to live as a human and to raise him as such appeared to be the most viable option.
He would refrain from enquiring until he attained sufficient maturity to comprehend, at which point he could assimilate the information and determine his own way of life. He had previously enquired about her pack, and she informed him that it was preferable for her and Layla to remain unassociated with one. She intended that; it was the truth, and he appeared to comprehend and accept it.
Confronted by his father, who asserted his claim over him, he expressed a desire for them to return home or, at the very least, engage in a discussion regarding the matter. Logan had overheard everything; he stood directly behind her, his small hand clenched in the back of her blouse, likely feeling frightened and bewildered.
“Will he abandon us?”Logan enquired softly.
“Unlikely,” she replied, shaking her head. “Wolves…” How could she elucidate this to him? “Exhibit possessive tendencies and.. Within a pack, there exists a leader among the resident wolves.
“He is the superior, correct?””
“Indeed, he is referred to as the Pack Alpha Wolf.” All individuals within that pack comply with his directives.
“However, you did not?”Logan scowled at her.
Brianna offered a faint smile, trusting her son to be so intelligent. “I am no longer a member of the pack, and I have not been for quite some time, even prior to my awareness of you.” I departed long ago; he can no longer dictate my actions, not truly.
“Do you not desire him to?”He appeared somewhat perplexed.
Brianna stated, “I opted to depart, for Layla and myself.” “We were unwell and suffering within that pack,” she stated. “We had to depart from the pack in order to survive.”
I observed him sitting and contemplating for an extended period, pondering, “Did he cause you harm? Is that the reason for your departure?”He ultimately enquired.
The question was challenging to address, as Ryder had indeed caused her considerable pain on numerous occasions.
However, Ryder was unaware of her significance to him, thus he did not realise he was causing her pain, nor that he was the source of her illness and decline.
If she declined Logan, he would probably enquire why she had abandoned him; conversely, if she acquiesced, he would likely seek clarification on the matter. “As I mentioned, it is quite complicated, Logan.”
“It is not.” Did he cause you harm?He enquired once more, “Do you mean to strike you?””
“No, never.” She shook her head; that man could not strike something he was unaware of. She did not truly comprehend the nature of his character.
She had fervently attempted to distance herself from him, striving to disregard their Mate Bond in the hope that it would dissipate entirely. No such fortune. “It can be stated that he was involved with another woman who captivated his interest more than Bianca.” They had learnt to avoid the pack-house, so she had not witnessed them together.
“Oh,” his single word resonated with an undertone of melancholy.
She embraced him and drew him onto her lap, “Do not concern yourself with it.” Although it occurred a considerable time ago, it continues to cause her pain to this day.
“Does he desire our return home?”He relied on her.
“I heard him,” and she indeed had. She was aware that he would never permit her to care for Logan in the human realm, distant from him. Ryder employed the term “Heir,” indicating that he anticipated training Logan to eventually assume leadership of the pack.
