The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 103

Nolan nodded in agreement, stating, “Correct, but she will be directly in front of me, and I now recognise her; it should be acceptable.” He appeared quite assured.

Ryder positioned himself directly in front of her room. His auditory perception was attuned to the environment. Fortunately, the hotel rooms lacked soundproofing, enabling them to overhear the activities occurring within that room.

The television was on, and he could hear them discussing Logan’s aspirations, pondering the acuity of her wolf senses. He could discern when his men were outside his hotel room prior to their entrance. He possessed Alpha senses, significantly more acute than typical wolf senses.

Inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly, he knocked on the door of room 617 with two gentle taps of his knuckle, aiming for a light and casual tone for her perception.

Perhaps she would perceive it as Stella’s return.

Heard her approach the door and open it, observed her freeze in place as her gaze fixed on him, noted the anger in her expression an instant later. He contemplated that it was preferable to fear and pain.

“Good morning, Brianna.” He smiled at her with sincerity, a soft and gentle expression, as he observed her attire: light blue slacks paired with a cream-coloured silk blouse. He recognised that on each occasion he had encountered her, she was attired in smart casual attire, with her hair styled in a high ponytail today.

“How dare you?” she suddenly hissed at him, filled with anger.

Speculated whether she was also attempting to prevent Logan’s wolf from being provoked. “What should I dare?”He enquired with composure. He required elucidation prior to arriving at an erroneous conclusion.

“Relocate my belongings; you possess no authority.” She spat at him once more.

“Ah, that!”Ryder acknowledged with a nod, indicating her awareness of his identity. “I desire your return home, hence my decision.”

She severed all ties with him. “Depart, I am no longer affiliated with your group; you possess no authority over me.”

He exhaled audibly, “Brianna, I simply wish to converse with you.” A meeting is necessary.

“No, it is not; simply depart.” She was glaring directly at him.

“Not without you, Brianna.” He excluded Logan from that assertion. Ryder wished to prevent her from believing this was solely about the boy.

“Acquire a dress elsewhere.” She retreated and proceeded to close the door.

He placed his hand directly on the door, preventing it from closing. “My younger sister adores your dresses, Brianna, and is eager to acquire one. She even wished to meet you in person,” he conveyed calmly while reopening the door, his strength surpassing hers. He noticed her frown, uncertain whether it was directed at him or his words. “Sadie is my younger sister,” he declared plainly. It is hoped that this will clarify matters and alleviate some tension, as there is no intention to prolong this situation.

Required to transport her to her residence for security.

Noticing movement behind her, he released the door, aiming to avoid projecting a threatening demeanour, despite not being one. He observed Logan gaze directly at him. He smiled softly at the boy, desiring her recognition of him as the boy’s father, yet aware that she would not concede.

“Mother?””

“All is well, proceed to watch television.” The man was departing,” he overheard Brianna inform their son.

“Brianna,” Ryder sighed. “I’m not departing; I merely wish to discuss your return home.” He conveyed his intention to her.

Observed the boy frown, glancing from his mother to him, and contemplated whether he possessed the maturity to discern the situation independently. He possessed the same eyes as the boy, and his remark regarding her return could be interpreted in multiple ways.

Aiden’s thoughts were preoccupying his mind. Observing Logan at this moment, they were closer to him than ever before, approximately 10 feet away; a part of him yearned to embrace the boy. Brianna would probably intervene, positioning herself directly in front of the boy.

“I will not accompany you; depart.” she instructed him, seizing the door.

He glared at her, observing the boy’s gaze shift between him and Rowan, indicating that he or his wolf was becoming restless. Aiden rose fully within his consciousness, advanced forward, extended his hand to stop the door, and gazed directly at the boy.

There it was, the bond to the boy’s wolf, his own son. Aiden could now perceive his own pup within that boy, who was indeed gazing directly at him as he reciprocated the look.

Observed the boy’s wolf emerge completely, initially perceiving it as curiosity until a formidable snarl erupted from him. Rowan regarded Aiden as a threat.

Aiden inclined his head to one side; he was merely youthful and posed no threat.

“Mine,” his wolf declared in a rough voice, asserting ownership of the child.

Brianna was overheard cursing softly, prompting Ryder to nearly laugh. How did she believe she could conceal the boy while confronting the wolves directly?

She was exceedingly adorable.

Rowan tilted his head back and gazed up at Aiden, who asserted, “Son.” Aiden reiterated his claim, observing Rowan withdraw, while Logan positioned himself directly behind his mother, out of view.
