The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 80

Emergence

Hesitated, Caelan knew the man had been going to push for a Mating Alliance, but now, after seeing his daughter, was apparently unsure about doing so.

Caelan did not bring it up. He didn’t particularly want one with the girl. Didn’t mention her stroll into the pack-house at all. They all knew she had been out with some other Alpha or Beta in all likelihood, it was likely that her father was very annoyed with her, right this minute. Screwed up his plans.

So a standard pack alliance was agreed upon, assistance given for rogue attacks or enemy attacks, an actual number of warriors allocated to it and his and his Beta’s presence and Alpha Alfred had to agree to the same, though he would send his son and the future Beta.

Caelan didn’t care much about that the man was going to take over in a few months anyway. Better to deal with him. Though he was currently sitting quietly in a chair not actively participating in the meeting, just observing.

Nodded to Caelan as to say he was okay with it. Caelan voiced no objection at all. Subsequently, they all departed from the office. Alpha Alfred halted at the door and glanced back at Caelan, “Are you truly angry with her?””

“No,” Caelan replied, having been taken aback by it but not feeling anger. He instructed her to seek another if she desired. Indeed, she had. He could not be displeased or angry, as he had never been loyal to her; despite his aversion to the idea of another man engaging in s****l relations with his current partner, he had encouraged her to pursue such encounters.

“What is the reason for excluding Caelan?” Has she been with you for two years?“

“She is not my partner; she is free to act as she wishes, associate with whomever she desires, and depart at her convenience.”

“Is that all?””

That is all. She was aware of this. I was contemplating sending her home with you.

The man nodded in agreement, stating, “That appears to be an excellent idea.”

Caelan reciprocated the nod. “You may inform her.”

He observed her father and his Beta departing the office.

Mason gazed directly at him, “I believed you were contemplating.”

“I was contemplating… Perhaps she will depart independently and revert to merely waiting,” he shrugged. “We shall wait and observe; she may not leave just yet, likely a minor act of retribution since I disclosed my infidelity.”

“You indeed informed her.. and you are comfortable with her promiscuity.

Caelan gazed at him. “Must be.” I was never loyal. What is the rationale for her to be?”

Mason merely shook his head, appearing somewhat disheartened by Caelan’s indifferent demeanour.

Subsequent meetings resulted in minimal changes to the pack alliances, which were originally well-articulated by his father and former Beta. Only a few minor modifications here and there. However, no significant alterations were required overall.

He was en route to the pack-house dining room for lunch with Mason when he beheld a sight that elicited a frown. His sister Addison, just 18, was seated on the lap of a Beta in the foyer of his pack house. She was beaming, and he observed that his other two sisters were positioned just to her right. The remaining group of his triplet sisters. They were reclining against the back of a couch, gazing at the man with dreamy expressions and smiles.

He marched over and muttered, “Remove your hands from my sister.”

It was Beta Ruby of the Crescent Moon Pack; the man gazed directly at him and smiled broadly, evidently unfazed by Caelan’s discontent regarding the situation. “My hands are not on your sister,” he responded, raising both hands above the arms of his chair; it appeared that he was not physically in contact with her.

“Addison, rise.” he commanded her.

“No,” she sulked, gazing up at him before, to his astonishment, turning and burying her face into the man’s neck. He perceived both her indistinguishable siblings expressing admiration. Caelan glanced at them, but they disregarded him entirely.

Both were now supporting their chins with their hands, seemingly quite content.

“Addison, rise or I will remove you.” This behaviour is intolerable.

He had to observe as she nestled deeper into the Beta, who was grinning contentedly and evidently had no intention of assisting Caelan. He bent down to assist Addison in rising. If she did not take action herself, he would personally remove her from the man’s lap. Beta Ruby’s wolf emerged immediately, snarling at him with palpable aggression.

Hudson immediately emerged in response to the threat posed by his wolf. Addison chuckled and, to his astonishment, observed her wolf advance and begin to nuzzle the man’s neck.

“I believe neither my Wolf Jax nor hers desires separation, Alpha Caelan,” Beta Ruby stated with composure. His wolf exhibited greater interest in his sister’s wolf, responding to its emergence. The gruesome object was emitting a purring sound towards her.
