The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 58

Correct

I was raised in Mason, that is all.

“Hmm, you once placed your trust in me,” he remarked, his tone conveying a hint of hurt to her ears.

“I genuinely trust you,” she conveyed to him.

“Then inform me, Daisy, who was it?””

“No,” she replied. “I am fatigued, Mason.”

He remained stationary, gazing at her for an additional minute before departing the room. She recognised that she was fatigued and disoriented. Amelia felt a sense of sadness towards Daisy, lingering in the recesses of her mind.

Caelan’s Perspective

“Caelan,” the voice of his Beta roused him.

Caelan was exhausted, excessively fatigued; he surmised he could not have been asleep for an extended duration. “Joe?”’

“Evacuate the hospital immediately,” he discerned the tension in the man’s voice.

Caelan’s Alpha instincts were activated; few things could induce stress in that man. Hudson’s consciousness elevated within his psyche.

Daisy was assaulted by a member of the pack.

“What?”Caelan swiftly exited the bed and began searching for clothing. To what extent is it detrimental? Who was the individual?Hudson was now fully attentive as well.

It is my belief that Amelia was assaulted; she was unclothed and weeping when I discovered her. She informed me that she required clothing.

What is the severity of the situation? His heart raced within his chest as Hudson prowled through his thoughts. He sensed anxiety emanating from his wolf regarding Amelia.

“Not too severe; she will recover.”

“Who was the individual?” He reiterated his statements.

“She refuses to disclose.”

“En route.”

Caelan was now fully awake, donning his trousers for the shower. His wolf growled at him, indicating he smelt like her.

Caelan was indifferent; Daisy was aware of his relationship with Lydia, and it neither surprised nor troubled her, based on his earlier observations. However, his cursed wolf appeared to be immobilised, resisting his control, and Caelan realised he was not prevailing either.

“Fine,” he retorted to his wolf. He entered the bathroom, showered swiftly, dried himself and dressed, then remarked, ‘Happy now,’ as he aimed at his wolf.

Hudson merely snorted at him but refrained from speaking. He was ultimately permitted to exit the room and proceed to the hospital. The darkness outside explained his fatigue; he likely had only about an hour of sleep.

Travelled to the pack’s hospital.

“Joe, has she informed you yet?”’

No. remains reticent on the matter. Actually displeased about it.

Caelan was infuriated; was the woman so foolish as to refuse to report an assault against herself? He was aware that Amelia lacked combat training and could only flee. He did not desire her to undergo training. She aimed to ensure her safety by remaining within the pack-house, thereby avoiding any potential attacks in the event of a crisis.

Increased anger emanated from him as his Alpha hearing detected her soft voice while he traversed the hospital corridor towards the Luna suite. “Could you not relinquish it, Mason, just this once?” It is unnecessary for you to inform him. “It is not as severe as it seems.” She was in that room attempting to persuade his Beta against informing him about the assault on her.

His hand struck the door, causing it to swing open forcefully. He gazed at the tableau within the room. Her head was lowered, a hospital gown draped over her left shoulder with her arm protruding from it; a significant wolf bite marred her shoulder. Joe stood to her left while the pack doctor, Maurice, attended to the wound.

Caelan observed multiple sterile combines stained with her blood. Beside the doctor, a wound trolley held gauze patches on several of the bite marks on her shoulder, which continued to bleed. He noted that her healing ability was either not activated or that Amelia’s restricted mobility had diminished her healing capabilities, possibly to the extent that she no longer remembered how to heal herself. He was unaware.

Dr. Maurice cast a fleeting glance at him before refocusing on the task at hand. He was the individual who had preserved Daisy’s life at the age of 17, and now he was attending to her once more.

Caelan understood the necessity of retaining control. Hudson seethed internally at the sight of her and the scent of her blood in the room, a fragrance neither of them wished to encounter again. This was not her fault; he had to remind himself, “Daisy?”He enquired of her, attempting to suppress his fury at her bloodied visage.

“Affirmative, Alpha,” she responded.

She did not raise her head to regard him; her voice conveyed a tone that was slightly more than melancholic to him. Mason was correct. She was distressed by this. Wolves typically exhibit aggression when confronted, experiencing sorrow only in the event of an attack by a familiar and trusted individual. This type of response was typically elicited by their Mate. Caelan understood that she lacked a Mate; Mason would never harm her, nor would Lark, his wolf. Who is it?
