The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 5

“That is your issue, Caelan.” I have completed my task. “Accept it or do not accept it,” she remarked with a shrug. I am departing to obtain my degree and pursue a conventional life. Your decision to endure suffering by rejecting this is yours alone.

Daisy sensed the Mark searing her neck; she had resolved her choice, and although he had not yet acquiesced, it seemed the goddess favoured her, liberating her regardless of his wishes.

Their mutual rejection was a realistic desire for both parties. Caelan had never uttered the words, as his father had prohibited him from doing so.

Daisy pivoted to enter her vehicle.

“Pause, this is not permissible,” his tone resembled a plea; why was he contesting her decision? It has consistently been his desire.

I have accomplished it. Embrace it and proceed, Caelan. This is my birthday gift to you. Your liberty. Seek an individual who can bring you joy. “Someone…” she sighed gently, “whom you genuinely desire.” Neither of us is content, and you are aware of that. Utilise my gathering to commemorate your liberation from me.

“Daisy, I implore you, refrain from this action.”

“Embrace it, Caelan, or remain tethered to me in perpetual anguish.” I no longer care.

“Very well,” he shouted at her, filled with anger once more, “I, Caelan Caldwell, acknowledge your rejection, Daisy Clinton; you are no longer my Mate.” His voice escalated to a near scream by the conclusion.

Daisy exhaled deeply and entered her vehicle, departing as she had liberated them both, allowing them to progress independently. Both individuals could now pursue their desires and attain happiness.

Daisy’s Perspective

Decade Subsequently

Daisy had completed her packing, having donated the majority of her possessions to goodwill; only a few boxes remained, which were being shipped back to the Lunar Moon Pack for storage until her return in two years.

Alpha Ronan had imposed several regulations on her while she was away from the pack, working in an art gallery after obtaining her university degrees. Acquired two degrees and spent six years residing in a dormitory at university. She resided in a third-floor studio apartment with a modest balcony, where she relished sipping tea each morning and evening before retiring for the night.

The regulations he imposed were straightforward and feasible: no visiting other packs, including allied ones, without prior authorisation from him. No movement is permitted without obtaining his consent and receiving his approval. She is required to provide monthly reports on her income, a portion of which will be allocated back to the pack, thereby contributing to the pack despite her current absence from it.

Any other pack seeking to engage her artistic skills as a portrait artist had to go through him. She was required to contact him and report immediately before granting approval; she was prohibited from saying yes, as only he could authorise external pack requests. Clearly, he was not concerned about his allied packs. However, the factions that were entirely unaligned with his were those she encountered and wished her to serve.

She must consistently display the pack’s emblem as either a pin on her attire or as a necklace. She chose the pin.

Over the past three years, rumours circulated regarding her talent, as Alpha wolves and esteemed members preferred to possess portraits of themselves or their partners. Certain packs featured expansive hallways adorned with portraits of all the Alphas who had led them; she was aware of this because the Lunar Moon Pack possessed such a display, although their portraits were exclusively exhibited in the grand library on the second floor of the pack house. Throughout her upbringing, her singular aspiration was to have one of her paintings displayed prominently.

Unlikely to occur again.

All of her artwork, whether commissioned or not, contributed a percentage of sales to the pack’s growth, establishing her as a productive member despite residing an hour and a half away at all times. I never returned there, under any circumstances.

Alpha Ronan had notified her that artwork for other packs must be approved by him to ensure her safety. Alpha Ronan comprehended the reasons for her absence, and undoubtedly, everyone in the pack was aware as well.

Daisy was astonished to discover that her departure from the pack to reside on campus, which was both unanticipated and unauthorised, had not only been sanctioned but also prompted a personal visit from Alpha Ronan and his Mate, Luna Elizabeth.

Suddenly manifested in her dormitory, utterly astonishing her. Believed they would induce her to become a renegade. However, they had not; they had requested to enter for a discussion. They enquired about her well-being, considering their knowledge of her relationship with Caelan, as his parents. They may have felt accountable for her mental well-being at that time.
