The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 45

A Brown Brick

Daisy’s Perspective

Daisy returned to her room and sank onto the couch to access her art supplier in Seattle. She chose the appropriate size canvas, as she was already aware that a life-sized option would be optimal. She was aware of Caelan’s height, making it a simple matter.

A portrait of him from the hips up would capture his entire physique and also depict Lydia.

She contemplated whether a photograph of the two of them, particularly one with his arm around her, would be the most favourable choice. However, even on the day of her arrival, he had not embraced her.

He had his hands in his pockets while Lydia clutched his arm. During the swearing-in ceremony, she was unable to capture a photograph of them together. The woman had been positioned to the side of the stage.

That, in itself, was somewhat peculiar. He was now the Alpha. Why had he not acknowledged or proclaimed her? She shook her head; he was likely awaiting the full moon to facilitate a ceremony exclusively for her. She presumed it would be the norm.

If that were the case, wouldn’t it have occurred while he was pursuing her in Canada? Had she irrevocably compromised the woman’s Luna Ceremony? Was it postponed due to Caelan’s departure to retrieve her?

That is not the situation. Caelan would never act in such a manner; he would have approached her after the event concluded. He would not have, and his parents would not have permitted him to disrupt the woman’s Luna Ceremony, and she did not appear agitated in the slightest.

Therefore, it is not expected to occur on the forthcoming full moon.

She ventured into town once more and acquired several sketchbooks and a selection of pencils. She returned to her room and settled onto the bed to outline several poses she deemed suitable for the two of them. They stood side by side as she had first observed them, albeit with his arm encircling her. One with her positioned on his lap. If she could capture a photograph of them in solitude, perhaps engaged in conversation, he would undoubtedly be smiling in it. How difficult could it be?

Alternatively, one depicting him seated at his desk while she stands beside him would create an appealing image. She effortlessly observed Lydia’s smile in all the photographs; however, Caelan posed a potential challenge. It seemed she would need to stealthily traverse the pack to capture a few images of him, utilising distance and zoom for a closer view. Thus, he would remain unaware of her actions.

She surveyed the room, realising that painting was unfeasible; any oil spills on the carpet would likely result in repercussions.

She urgently required a personal space, equipped to accommodate her easel and organise her paints, enabling her to commence her artistic endeavours.

‘Mason’

“What is the matter, Daisy?”

I enquired about the availability of accommodation in the unoccupied apartment building. She enquired of him.

What is the reason for your inquiry?appeared to be frowning

“I cannot remain in the pack-house indefinitely, Mason,” she remarked.

“I will confer with Caelan regarding your accommodation and revert to you,” he informed her before severing the connection. Daisy declined with a shake of her head. What is the necessity for him to confer with Caelan? She was, by definition, an unmated female wolf. It is technically the appropriate location for her to reside. She arose and proceeded there independently. She could ascertain independently. Caelan was unlikely to be concerned about her accommodations as long as she remained within the pack’s vicinity. It would not disturb him.

She traversed to it. The structure was a substantial four-story edifice.

No element in this pack was permitted to exceed the height of the pack-house, as recalled; it appeared orderly and well-maintained, with each room seemingly featuring a balcony visible to her. A brown brick edifice featuring expansive windows revealed the presence of occupants within their apartments. The goddess observed some of them engaging in s****l activity at that very moment.

She averted her gaze and concentrated on the front door; did they not consider closing the curtains? Who desired to be exposed in such a manner? It seemed some individuals were indifferent, solely intent on fulfilling their primal urges and disregarding their surroundings.

Entered the building and approached the woman at the desk. “Greetings, I enquired whether there are any available options?””

“Certainly, would you like to view the rooms?””

Daisy acknowledged, “I would express my gratitude.”

The woman’s name was Reese; she was a mated wolf, adorned with delicate filigree around her neck, exuding a scent reminiscent of a warrior, likely mated to one. No genuine warrior would undertake this task, she mused absentmindedly. She was a pleasant woman, sufficiently amiable, and appeared somewhat taken aback to encounter Daisy here.

Aside from the momentary expression of shock, no further comments were made regarding the matter. Being Caelan’s former mate and seeking accommodation here was unexpected for her. However, to what other destination could she possibly venture? She had not resided on pack territory for ten years and lacked a place to stay.
