The expression on her upturned face indicated that she was aware he would proceed with it. Reflecting on their history, he assumed that she had never been cautioned about it previously. This was the inaugural instance in which he had presented her with the choice. Both parties were aware of it.
She glanced at Micah.
“I apologize,” he stated.
“Do not be; I am quite certain you lacked a choice.”
Caelan observed Micah’s silence. She was correct. All individuals present were aware of it.
“Rise, Daisy, we are returning home,” he ultimately withdrew his hand from her neck and deliberately pulled her chair out to prompt her to stand.
“I trust you appreciate the photograph,” she remarked gently. “Do not concern yourself with this,” she gestured towards Caelan as she rose. “I am perfectly fine, I assure you.” Subsequently, she turned and departed from the table; she must have noticed Mason, as the warmth in her voice was evident when she greeted him. I turned and pursued her, observed Mason and Daisy embrace, and subsequently departed with him as if Caelan were inconsequential. The violent connection between the two was at times unbearable to witness.
She walked directly in front of him, while he maintained a frown throughout. She had her hand nestled in the crook of Mason’s elbow, strolling beside him as if she were his companion. He observed that walking was reminiscent of how Lydia occasionally clung to him.
He did not prevent her, as he was generally unwilling to share his partner, even if their purpose was solely to accommodate his desires. Lydia was permitted to cling to him until he discovered his destined Mate. He preferred a woman who was amenable to his desires at any time.
Mason opened the rear door for her, and she entered without resistance, which he observed.
“May we visit my hotel to retrieve my belongings before you return me?”“She enquired nonchalantly.”
“Certainly, Daisy,” Mason replied, and Caelan could discern the smile in his Beta’s tone.
“You drive,” Caelan instructed, passing him the keys while he engaged the child safety lock on the door and shut it. She would not exit unless he permitted her to do so.
According to him, the hotel where she was staying was modest and inexpensive in comparison to the suite he had acquired in his hotel. She appeared unaffected by his presence in the doorway. She had not even mentioned her feelings regarding Canada and did not appear to be angry about it.
Engaged in conversation with Mason, who was lounging on her bed, which irritated both Caelan and Hudson. He could have been assisting her with her packing, albeit she had little to pack. She appeared unhurried, frequently pausing to respond to Mason or laugh at his trivial remarks.
He observed only one suitcase. She had entered his room at 16 and departed at 18, requiring little, he surmised.
“From where did you acquire the dress?”He enquired while observing her navigate the room, ensuring she had not overlooked any belongings. It oscillated with each step she made.
“Micah Garcia purchased it for me,” she stated unequivocally.
“Pardon me.” He snarled, increasingly irritated.
She had not donned the dress he had acquired for her, yet appeared willing to wear a dress from an absolute stranger.
She gazed directly at him while leaning over to zip her suitcase. “I suppose he experienced remorse regarding.. “This,” she remarked.
“And you merely acquiesced.” From an individual, whom you are unfamiliar with?”
She dismissed him with a shrug. I lacked appropriate attire for dinner, so I decided to proceed.”
His jaw was twitching uncontrollably. The girl had never accepted anything from him or his mother, yet she willingly accepted gifts from unfamiliar men. He could sense the anger emanating from him, unable to restrain it. “Enter the vehicle immediately,” he commanded, then departed from the room. Mason would accompany her.
He was standing by the car, smoking a cigarette, when she exited her hotel. She blinked at him and remarked, “That’s not good for you,” as Mason opened the car door for her.
He recognised it as his singular significant flaw and was unlikely to relinquish it at this point. He has been smoking when angry for the past ten years. Both his mother and father despised it, yet neither could prevent him. Her comment was improbable as well. He extinguished the cigarette and entered the vehicle.
Mason transported them to the airport and returned the vehicle, while Caelan escorted her to his private jet. She appeared agreeable to departing and took a seat as instructed while he secured her luggage.
As soon as Mason reboarded, he instructed the pilot to commence takeoff and sat gazing out the window. The woman appeared indifferent to being taken home.
I observed her remove her shoes, curl up on the seat, and engage in casual conversation with Mason regarding his recent activities, current romantic involvement, and the acquisition of his dreadlocks. Mason responded to her enquiries and even disclosed information about his current intimate partner, someone she was familiar with.
They conversed effortlessly; she remained completely unfazed by his discussions regarding his current partner, even laughing with him and posing several inappropriate enquiries about his s****l experiences, asserting her belief that Silvia was adventurous in bed. He merely chuckled and winked directly at her.
It seemed as if they had never experienced separation, seamlessly resuming from their previous point of connection. She disregarded Caelan entirely. It was as if Caelan was absent on the plane.
Ultimately succumbed to slumber, nestled in the chair; Caelan threw Mason a blanket to drape over her, after which the man positioned himself opposite him.
“It is reassuring to have her return…to her usual self, that is.”
“Agreed.” Caelan nodded, maintaining his gaze out the window, deliberately avoiding the woman as required.
“What are the next steps, Caelan?””
“She can work from the pack,” he replied with a shrug.
“That is not my intended meaning.”
“What do you imply, then?”Caelan enquired, despite his awareness of the subject matter.
“Caelan, Hudson has already mated with Amelia; you must confront this and discuss it with her.”
“What is the reason?” She appears to be accepting it without resistance. I have no desire to engage in a confrontation with her.
“What is the significance?” Are you simply going to feign that it did not occur?”
“Indeed, if that is agreeable to her, let us proceed accordingly.” He preferred to avoid contemplation and simply relinquish the matter. It shall not recur. He could prohibit her from transforming into Amelia while she was within pack territory. He conjectured that it might be feasible.
