The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 28

Review

Awoke to discover her phone was depleted and lacked a means to recharge it. Had to locate a store to purchase a power adapter for the wall socket to charge her phone and connect her laptop, then sat down to commence job hunting. Researched Micah Garcia. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of a prominent advertising firm.

Contemplated whether the man could utilise her skills, examined the company’s information and recruitment procedure. No advertisements were present, yet she believed it would be beneficial to submit her portfolio. She had previously conversed with the man directly, and he requested her business card.

Retrieved her Linguistics and Language portfolio, translated it into Mandarin, and submitted both the English and Mandarin versions to the company’s HR department. She subsequently replicated this action with her Arts portfolio, anticipating a potential vacancy for a photographer within the organisation. One can never be certain.

She sent a brief email to Micah Garcia to elucidate her actions and expressed her hope that he would consider her application should a position become available. She hoped he did not perceive her actions as intrusive, yet she questioned the potential consequences. Only respond with a negative, at most.

She did not anticipate a response whatsoever. She could envision him as an exceedingly occupied individual. Explored several local art galleries and chose to dedicate the remainder of the day to photography, ultimately visiting the Ottawa Art Gallery, where she spent an hour and a half admiring the exquisite artworks. Captured multiple photographs from the outdoor patio of the adjacent neighbourhood.

Subsequently, I ventured to Ottawa Street to admire its renowned street art and capture additional photographs. Adored it; it was exceptionally vibrant and colourful. Subsequently, proceed to a location known as The Canadian Museum of Nature.

Subsequently, she visited the Fletcher Wildlife Garden and spent the remainder of the day in profound admiration of the exquisite park, which she deemed the most beautiful sight she had encountered. She explored extensively, paused to dine at a local food truck, and awaited nightfall to witness the park illuminated in its magnificent splendour.

The night and day were exceptionally beautiful. I was unable to cease smiling and remained unfazed when it began to rain. She was certainly returning here, presumably to dedicate considerable time to sitting with her camera, she contemplated.

Ceased walking to respond to her phone, was jostled by a couple hastening from the rain, and fell, scraping her knee; she waved off the couple with a smile and accepted their apology. Amelia would restore her health promptly. “Hello,” she successfully responded to the call.

“Miss Clinton, this is Micah Garcia.”

“Good evening, Mr. Garcia,” she greeted him.

“Veer to your right,” he instructed her.

Daisy glanced to her right and observed him standing by a car, holding an umbrella, and smiled while raising a hand to him.

“Proceed in this direction.” My wife Hadley observed you; we were present. It is her preferred location.

Daisy acquiesced, stating, “Alright.” She approached him while his wife smiled at her as he opened the car door.

“Enter, Daisy; I wish to enquire about something,” Hadley stated.

“Certainly.”

“Enter, and we shall dine together,” Hadley declared with a smile.

Daisy informed her, “I am somewhat damp,” as she had been walking in the rain.

“It is acceptable,” Hadley dismissed it.

Daisy entered the vehicle and fastened her seatbelt.  Micah assumed control of the vehicle and they departed. Daisy smiled at her and remarked, “It is exceedingly beautiful here.”

“It is my utmost preferred location.” “I observed…” she smiled directly at Daisy, “you were capturing photographs.”

Daisy expressed confidence in having captured excellent photographs today and this evening. She then enquired, “Would you like to view them?””

Hadley chuckled quietly, “I see nothing escapes your notice.”

Daisy laughed, activated her camera, and adjusted it to allow Hadley to view the photographs she had captured. It appeared that she had consumed a substantial amount. Daisy had not comprehended until this moment the quantity she had consumed. She had relinquished herself to capturing whatever piqued her interest, devoid of any concern.

They dined at an Italian restaurant, and Micah appeared content to allow her and Hadley to converse, examine the photographs, and contemplate the possibility of Hadley acquiring several of them from her. They insisted on transporting her back to her hotel.

Micah arched an eyebrow at her. She merely shrugged, stating, “Insufficient funds.”

He acknowledged, “I investigated you.” Canadian Art Exhibition is imminent.

“Regrettably, it collapsed at the final moment.” Indeed, there was intended to be one.

“Please visit my office tomorrow and bring the photographs for my review.” I require a gift for Hadley.
