The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 216

Attention

Daisy recognised that his night had been equally traumatic as her own. He would have experienced every injury inflicted upon her, along with the anguish of her demise, she conjectured.

The unfortunate individual had endured considerable hardship for her, and he no longer needed to do so. It was not her desire for him.

Unsure whether to disclose the information to him, potentially shattering his heart, yet it could also liberate him from his concerns regarding Ella, enabling him to select her as his Mate autonomously. Daisy was unequivocally confident that Ella would respond affirmatively, without any hesitation.

Their attraction to one another resembled that of Mates, albeit lacking the bond. She could not comprehend why Cole was obstructing them. Mason would regard her as the princess she would transform into the instant he designated her.

He sat up and frowned; what if Ella were indeed his Mate, the one the Goddess had deprived him of? He rose from bed and paced, as this would render their mutual attraction significantly more comprehensible. Could she rectify it? Could one make the correct decision, whatever that entailed? She intended to select Ella for him regardless.

They were the ideal match for one another, the sole individual she would contemplate entrusting to Mason after listening to his discourse about her, with no uncertainty in her mind regarding that. She urgently needed to resolve this matter and, likely, would have to confide in Mason; she required someone to discuss the turmoil in her mind.

She was uncertain of his thoughts or interpretations regarding it. Ella, she understood, would be enthusiastic in assisting her to decipher the moon Goddess’s intentions and arrive at the correct decision. She was compelled to converse with Mason and disclose the truth, irrespective of the pain it might inflict upon him; he deserved to be informed.

Daisy believed that Mason would not oppose Ella becoming his Mate, and the Goddess had indeed promised to bestow this favour. Thus, not a selected Mate, but a Goddess-Gifted Mate, which must provide him with some degree of solace. Certainly. The unfavourable information, followed by the favourable information.

Daisy was aware that she would not appreciate the conversation; she might require the Luna’s assistance to navigate it, as she detested articulating the words that it was her fault. He was without a mate; why had the goddess bestowed one upon her? She scowled. She remembered the Goddess stating that she possessed an abundance of compassion and forgiveness, akin to her mother.

Who knew who her mother was? It appeared abandoned and unwanted, for whatever reason, as she had not even had the opportunity to enquire about her mother. It is now too late. Daisy declined with a shake of her head.

She had never possessed one previously and is unlikely to acquire one in the future as well. Consequently, it was of little significance.

Daisy surmised that the woman possessed her own justifications.

It was probably something exceedingly dreadful. She was unaware of any she-wolf that would relinquish her offspring; a genuine shudder coursed through her body. The unfortunate woman likely possessed a dreadful narrative to recount, and Daisy preferred not to contemplate it, wishing the woman tranquilly. It is to be hoped that she has managed to progress.

Identify a method to overcome the experience and attain happiness. That was the sole aspect of significance.

Daisy cherished fond recollections of John discussing Daisy, his first mate, the woman she had always presumed to be her mother, who worked in the pack’s armoury alongside her father, the head of that department. John had informed her that he would assume responsibility from her father until her demise.

Possessed numerous fond recollections of John’s discussions regarding the woman. Daisy had always held the conviction that her mother would have cherished her, as John consistently affirmed how much she would have, expressing pride in the young woman Daisy had become. She had never questioned it, not for an instant.

Despite her awareness of her lack of parents and Mason’s discovery of her in the snow, she refused to dishonour the woman she had always perceived as her mother or the memories John had imparted to her. Named after John’s first mate, it was a thoughtful gesture, a mother who would have cherished her.

Luna Elizabeth retrieved her from her room to join Alpha Kaiden for lunch. It appears that a schedule had been established for her to become acquainted with him and Caelan. Caelan was perplexed as to why the Goddess would designate her as the official Goddess-Gifted Mate of a man she already knew, given their prior history. Although he appeared distinct last night, upon reflection, she realised he had been consistently different with her over the preceding weeks.

Dismissed it.

Undoubtedly, the Goddess had resolved to complicate her existence. It was undoubtedly challenging to return, and indeed it was. She had unequivocally neither lied to her nor misled her in any manner. I had conveyed to her with utmost sincerity that it would be challenging and not straightforward.

Even left the decision to her, and Daisy opted to return. She returned, not for her own sake, but to devise a means to assist Mason. Upon entering the private dining room, she observed Alpha Kaiden standing by the table, attired in a three-piece suit, his hair meticulously styled. Not as he appeared this morning. He considered himself superior, she recognised. He smiled directly at her, eliciting a wave of annoyance from her wolf, which remained displeased with the man.

Luna Elizabeth positioned herself in a chair adjacent to Daisy. She was not bothered and was somewhat grateful for the woman’s presence, as she preferred not to be alone with him. Nevertheless, she remained wary of him and his attempt to mark her the previous night. Did not resonate positively with her or Amelia.

She discerned from his expression directed at Luna Elizabeth that he was displeased with her presence in the room. Or positioned directly adjacent to Daisy.

“Greetings, Daisy.”

“Alpha Kaiden,” she addressed him formally. I wished to maintain formality with him following last night.

“You may refer to me as Kaiden; I am your Mate.”

Daisy nodded silently as she seated herself.

He positioned himself directly opposite her. “I would like to extend my apologies for my behaviour last night, which was rude and unacceptable.”

Daisy concurred succinctly.

He scowled at her, stating, “That does not constitute an acceptance of my apology.”

“No, it is not,” she affirmed. If he could not explicitly articulate the words ‘I’m sorry,’ she would not overtly acknowledge her acceptance of it.

She perceived a fleeting expression of anger on his face, but it quickly vanished. Displeased by this, she redirected her attention to Luna.

“Daisy.” Kaiden’s tone was exceedingly stern.

She pivoted and regarded him with inquiry.

The Luna is merely a chaperone, not present in actuality. Refrain from acknowledging her.

That elicited her surprise; this Alpha appeared accustomed to having his desires fulfilled and being the focal point of attention. Directed my attention to Luna Elizabeth, enquiring, “Where is Mason?”She enquired and sensed Alpha Kaiden’s anger emanating from her perceived failure to comply with his directive. She had grown weary of Alpha’s commands, and if Caelan intended to adopt a similar approach, believing he could issue orders as well, he would elicit the same response. She had concluded that matter.

What is your connection to the Beta? Are you two engaging in s****l intercourse? He retorted, his fury evident.

She redirected her gaze to the man. “What if we are?”She interrogated him. It was universally assumed.

“It ceases immediately, that is what!” “You are my mate, not the beta’s,” he retorted.

Luna redirected her gaze towards her, seeking the answer to her inquiry.

I observed the woman’s eyes become unfocused, then frown, and shortly thereafter revert to their normal state as she stated, “On his way.” “Although he seems displeased by it,” she scoffed, placing her hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh.

Daisy acknowledged her culpability for waking him, yet the chuckle and smirk on her face suggested she believed the man had not been solitary that morning. Apologies. However, he would invariably forgive her in the end.

“Are you perpetually this impolite?”“Alpha Kaiden uttered.”
