The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 214

Whims

Amelia appeared resolute, unwilling to relent or compromise. He raised his hands, palms outward, in a non-threatening manner, and said, “Calm down, Amelia.” He maintained a soft and gentle tone, although the growl he suppressed troubled him slightly. Hudson refrained from emerging, as both understood that her ire was not directed at them.

Upon her eventual withdrawal, granting Daisy control, she glanced from him to Kaiden before turning to his mother, disregarding both of them without offering an apology for her wolf, nor informing his mother that Alpha Ronan needed to be present.

That astonished him significantly. Informed his mother that Amelia would feel more at ease with his presence.

No further conversation occurred until his father arrived, entering the office, smiling at his companion, and proceeding directly to the couch to sit beside Daisy, addressing her with a familiar demeanour. Caelan recognised that they maintained a positive relationship. Although she had been absent from this pack for a decade, she maintained a proper Alpha-pack member relationship with his father, characterised by mutual respect, as acknowledged by both parties.

Caelan had never enquired with his father regarding their encounters or the frequency of his visits with her in the city. Probable exceeding his expectations. Caelan had attempted to avoid and disregard it for the majority of the time. However, it appeared that a robust and steadfast bond still existed between them.

Although Caelan was aware that Daisy had undergone therapy, organised by his parents, he remained uninformed about the nature of the relationship among the three of them.

He ought to ascertain, he contemplated. It was probably an excellent one, given how her wolf responded to safeguard his mother and subsequently sought his father.

Daisy had willingly assisted his mother with her Luna responsibilities when requested. Daisy was now requesting her father to be present in the room, making Amelia feel more at ease. The three of them appeared to share a profound bond, resembling that of a family.

Caelan was aware that both of his parents had always favoured Daisy, yet he had never truly observed their interactions or the nature of their relationship during her previous tenure as his Mate. He was indeed a jerk, and not solely towards her, it appeared.

Caelan believed it was a favourable notion to enjoy a private dinner with Daisy.

Jayden did not comply. His mother extended an invitation for a chaperoned meal for both of them with her.

Caelan smirked, “I require no chaperone; I am not the one who attempted to assert ownership through coercion.”

“I lost control,” Kaiden retorted sharply. “You would as well, if she had the scent of another.”

“She bore your scent when I escorted her to her room, yet I refrained from infringing upon her autonomy.” You accomplished that.

“I am an Alpha and I desire what rightfully belongs to me,” he retorted.

“She belongs to no one unless she elects to do so.” To date, all I have observed and heard is that Amelia harbours a strong dislike for you.” Caelan smirked at the man, and that was all he had witnessed. Amelia was exceedingly pleased with Hudson.

“Daisy previously rejected you, Caelan Ley; it is probable she will do so again, making her more likely to be mine than yours.”

Caelan’s jaw clenched; he refrained from engaging in a confrontation with the man, despite a strong desire to strike him in the face, which was the undeniable truth. She had declined his advances, and he was apprehensive that she might do so once more; how could he not be? He was a jerk, although he attempted to demonstrate that he had transformed and could be the kind, gentle man she deserved.

“That was an entirely distinct circumstance compared to the present.” he articulated harshly.

“Indeed, she was a minor at that time.” How did you accomplish that, through coercion, Caelan ley?Kaiden reciprocated the smirk.

“Enough,” his mother admonished the two of them. They were approaching an all-out confrontation, and she was aware of it. This does not pertain to either of you. At this moment, neither of you is presenting your Mate with an appealing aspect. Two egotistical Alphas exhibiting selfishness while disregarding her feelings in the situation. Merely focused on highlighting one another’s shortcomings to her.

Caelan sighed; she was correct, yet the man annoyed him in multiple ways. Gazed at Daisy, frowned; she seemed disinterested, appearing to be in a trance, contemplating matters unknown to anyone but the divine.

His mother was correct; he consistently failed to present his best self, merely reminding her of AlphaKaiden’s actions, which she was already aware of and unlikely to forget swiftly. Given that she had to call for assistance to halt it.

He expressed remorse to his mother for his conduct, observed Alpha Kaiden exhale in irritation, and subsequently offered an apology as well. No Alpha enjoys apologising; their word is absolute, and their actions are typically unquestionable, except within another’s Pack, which he currently occupied.

Caelan also observed that the man had not yet apologised to Daisy for his actions towards her.

That was intriguing; it was the initial action he ought to have taken, given that she was meant to be his Mate. While Kaiden may have appeared charming and relaxed in social settings, this was his authentic character. Caelan never feigned a facade; all his allied packs exhibited the same austere, sullen demeanour. He remained authentic, and they had to accept it.

He possessed the ability to be equitable and negotiate advantageous agreements. He was candid and straightforward regarding his desires.

When Daisy rose and exited the room without a word, everyone ceased their conversation and observed her, appearing to be in her own realm to Caelan. She exited the office and surveyed the hallway, searching for an individual or an object. Subsequently, enquired of Alex regarding MASON’s whereabouts.

Caelan merely shook his head; their profound connection rendered it unsurprising that she was searching for the man. Her reaction to him last night had evidently subsided, and now she desired to see him and presumably discuss it. He was somewhat surprised that she chose to depart entirely.

His mother interrogated her, and her expression conveyed everything. She had not occupied this room; she had, in fact, been elsewhere, contemplating an entirely different matter. Caelan sighed; whatever had compelled her to lash out at herself the previous night and reject Mason was troubling her as much as it was him. It was evident to him that this was on her mind, given her inquiry about the man’s whereabouts.

Having two mates to resolve matters appeared less significant to her.

She conveyed her perspective, asserting that her presence was unnecessary during the argument between him and Kaiden. Subsequently, she turned and departed down the hall, distancing herself from both individuals, thereby reinforcing her assertion.

“Is she truly departing just like that?” Kaiden snapped, irritation evident in his voice as she walked away. Caelan smiled, finding it somewhat amusing that the girl acted entirely according to her own whims. Ten years of solitude had undoubtedly transformed her. “Indeed, it is her pursuit, her unique endeavor.”
