The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 209

Aware

“I understand, but you are fine now.” Caelan and Mason revive you.

“No, they did not,” she replied slowly, shaking her head. “The Moon Goddess sent me back.”

“Did you observe Selena?”She appeared somewhat astonished.

Daisy finally raised her gaze to meet Luna Elizabeth’s, nodded her head, and could not prevent the tears from welling up due to the anguish she felt for him, “Mason is destined to remain without a mate, always will be, because of me.”

“Darling, I am confident that is not accurate,” she suggested, attempting to provide solace.

“Indeed, she informed me. “To assume the role of my protector, she was compelled to sever his bond with his mate.” Tears cascaded down her cheeks, and a sob escaped her lips. “I reject that,” she exclaimed abruptly, streams of tears cascading down her face as sobs convulsed her body once again.

Embraced by Luna, she reciprocated the hug and wept into her for an extended period. Luna refrained from stifling her tears, allowing herself to weep freely, then gazed down at her and sighed deeply, “Why did Selena send you back?””

“I implored her to provide Mason with a Mate, to devise a solution.”

“And what?””

“She informed me that returning would not be facile, but if I made the appropriate decision, I could select a Mate for him.”

“Intriguing.” What decision must you make?”

Daisy shook her head, stating, “I am unaware; she did not disclose that information to me.” She remarked that it would be challenging and that only one individual could attain happiness, yet acknowledged that her decision would impact numerous people. She sighed, contemplating that perhaps universal happiness could be achieved if all truths were disclosed. I find that incomprehensible; it lacks clarity for me.

“Not particularly useful, yet it appears to be our only option.” It would need to be challenging for her to bestow upon him a Mate after having deprived him of one.

“Even my death would not have resolved it; I would still have remained Mateless.” I returned, Luna, not to acquire a Mate, but for Mason to rectify this situation; I do not wish for him to remain solitary indefinitely.

Luna gazed at her in silence for an extended period, then sighed, “Is it true that only one can attain happiness?” That could refer to either of your companions.

Daisy shook her head, stating, “I don’t believe that’s the case. Ultimately, only one of them will attain my affection, which implies that only one will experience happiness. It’s too simplistic.”

“What follows?””

“I am uncertain…perhaps I must decide between myself and Mason; only one of us can attain happiness.”

“No, I do not believe that is the case either.” Selena would recognise you; you would select MASON instantaneously.

Daisy affirmed her choice of Mason.

“Indeed, my dear, we must contemplate that matter.” Examine the possibilities we can generate. It may require several days.

Daisy was unaware of when her decision would need to be made or the subject of that decision. I must ascertain the solution. “I will not permit Mason to remain without a mate,” she asserted resolutely.

“Very well,” the Luna affirmed. “I shall assist you to the best of my ability.” However, first, my dear, we must address your two friends, Caelan or Kaiden.

Daisy was reluctant to contemplate that at the moment and shook her head in negation, stating, “MASON must take precedence.”

What if that constitutes an erroneous decision? Selena would understand that prioritising your own happiness for MASON is a challenging decision, which may necessitate choosing yourself over him.

I am unfamiliar with Luna. Daisy was uncertain about her required actions.

“Set aside Mason for now; he is presently content,” she remarked with a slight smirk. “Now, let us discuss your companions. Do you have a preference?””

“What?” “Um, not really,” she conceded. She and Caelan had not succeeded initially, and Alpha Kaiden had attempted to mark her against her wishes. Additionally, Amelia appeared content with Hudson and seemed disinclined towards Loch. Furthermore, Kaiden had reprimanded her and instructed her wolf to remain in compliance. Amelia was a virtuous wolf, consistently exhibiting commendable behaviour, and did not require reprimand. They might also be Mate, but she had another. A person who had solely embraced and supported her since she became aware.

It was excessively perplexing.

“You may need to contemplate it thoroughly.”

Daisy was contemplating it; however, it was not straightforward.

I have established certain rules, although AlphaKaiden has not yet experienced my anger regarding his attempt to mark you last night. Daisy, the decision rests solely with you, not Caelan or Kaiden. Those not selected must accept the decision and proceed accordingly. Based on my reading last night regarding these circumstances in my library, when one option is selected, the other should be relinquished without any distress. Consequently, dismissing one option in favour of another should not cause you concern; the alternative will suffice adequately.

“Understood, that is beneficial information.” Is there anything further?”

“For your safety during this period, you will not be permitted to be alone with either of them; a chaperone will accompany you at all times.” She shook her head and sighed. “Alpha wolves are inherently possessive beings and will likely seek to isolate you in order to entice you into allowing them to mark you.”

Daisy acknowledged that they could be possessive; most Alphas were exceedingly protective, bordering on overbearing, which caused her to pause. She furrowed her brow momentarily upon realising that Caelan had exhibited such behaviour for weeks, then directed her gaze towards the Luna. “How long has Caelan been aware of my significance to him?””

“I believe it will be a few weeks,” she replied immediately, clearly having surmised the answer.

“That elucidates much,” she murmured, recalling his insistence on her presence, his intense anger when she expressed her intention to depart, and the guidance provided by his chief military officer throughout the pack. Goddess, she was exceedingly oblivious. Upon reflection, even Ella, Ava, and Sonja had chuckled when she declared that she was no longer his mate, remarking, “could’ve fooled us.”

“Indeed, it does,” the Luna remarked with a chuckle. “Although you have brought him joy, he now smiles frequently; I have observed this on numerous occasions, and even pack members have commented on his apparent happiness.”

“At what point did you become aware?”“She inquired.” She had not overlooked Luna’s laughter regarding it.
