The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 202

Single

Daisy was astonished to learn she had two Mates and appeared quite perplexed by the revelation. Mason observed Caelan demonstrating genuine affection towards her, seemingly indifferent to onlookers.

He referred to her as sweetheart, heard it with his own ears, the affection encapsulated in that single term, and caressed her delicately.

Remarkably, it seemed as though the former Caelan, prior to their Mate Bond, had reemerged, standing directly before him. The kind and nurturing individual, brimming with charisma and joy, was a delightful sight. Should he manage to influence her, the pack would witness an entirely transformed Alpha. Mason could easily envision the perpetual happiness that would ensue.

He was once an exceedingly amusing individual, frequently laughing and occasionally playing practical jokes on his father. Although not a regular occurrence, it happened from time to time. The pack would likely be at a loss for how to respond. He smiled to himself.

She refrained from disclosing to Caelan the reason for her self-inflicted harm. Her gaze met his, revealing profound anguish, before she averted her eyes and uttered, “I can’t.” Those two brief words were laden with torment. Mason understood that he was central to the unfolding situation.

She explicitly desired the mark removed from her back and enquired if it remained. Subsequently, she candidly confessed to Caelan that it was not a tattoo. The man’s gaze darted to Mason’s, who understood the implication and silently posed the question, “Is that when I acquired mine?” Mason affirmed this and confirmed to her that the mark was indeed still present on her back, as was the one on his arm, despite her claws having torn through it; it was perfectly aligned and intact once again.

She had effectively disassembled herself to extricate it from her back; however, it remained present as she healed, realigning similarly to his. It was intended to be a part of her skin, symbolising their connection.

Mason appreciated the profound connection he shared with her, particularly now that the truth was revealed, and he was unequivocally aware that she was his younger sister. This was likely the reason he could always sense her presence.

Caelan was once more embracing her, allowing his scent to soothe her, accompanied by his tender touch. Mason recognised that the man possessed the capacity to genuinely love her and to demonstrate that affection. However, it took an excessively long time to materialise, much too long for everyone’s benefit.

As Alpha Kaiden entered the room, he observed his frown directed at Daisy in Caelan’s embrace, indicating his disapproval of the situation. He would need to acclimatise to it. Daisy appeared quite at ease in Caelan’s arms; despite their tumultuous history, two years of companionship had fostered a connection between them. Additionally, the insatiable relationship between Amelia and Hudson had further facilitated this dynamic.

It is beneficial at this moment that Amelia is exceedingly pleased with her divinely bestowed mate.

Caelan was effectively instructed to vacate the room, accompanied by Mason. Hudson immediately emerged. Even Lark expressed discontent with this declaration, positioning himself between the two Alphas and Daisy as they glared at one another. It was probable that a confrontation between the two over Daisy was imminent.

Upon Daisy’s assurance, he and Caelan exited the room. Mason was not astonished to encounter both Alex and Cole in the hallway, nor the former Alpha and his unit; they were present to manage the impending rivalry between the two Alphas for the woman’s attention. Alphas typically abhorred sharing, unless they were siblings or twins. It was probable that both Caelan and Kaiden would eventually become unruly, necessitating the intervention of both units to separate them.

“Have you been present the entire duration?” Caelan enquired of his father.

“Affirmative, son,” Alpha Ronan acknowledged.

Caelan remained silent, simply approaching and sitting beside his father, who placed a hand on his shoulder. “It will be alright, son.”

Caelan remained silent.

Mason stood just outside the room, a step from the door, while his father leaned against the adjacent wall. They had not engaged in conversation since he compelled his mother to acknowledge that Daisy was her daughter, and it seemed the man was not prepared to converse with him now either. He pondered whether his father would ever speak to him again. They had always shared a close bond, never having gone even half a day without some form of dialogue.

However, there has been no further action since that day; Mason has refrained from intervening.

He was not attentively listening to the interaction between Daisy and Kaiden, considering it her private affair. He observed Alex and his father rise from their chairs, both tilting their heads slightly, indicating that something was amiss. Caelan also noted this development.

Subsequently, they appeared to stabilise, as an unidentified force had captivated their Gamma abilities, affecting both individuals. Mason scowled; even his father had ceased to recline against the wall and was now poised for action.

Mason sensed the impending gravity of the situation, as palpable tension enveloped them. Ronan abruptly placed his hands on Caelan, a gesture mirrored by his Delta and Cole. They appeared to be attentively utilising their heightened auditory perception.

Upon hearing her frantic scream, he immediately entered the room and perceived the struggle occurring in the hallway as they attempted to subdue Caelan.

He observed Alpha Kaiden restraining Daisy and preparing to Mark her. He propelled himself at the aggressor. Lark, exerting all his Alpha Wolf strength against Mason, seized the man and hurled him across the room, initiating a confrontation. No wolf appreciated being interrupted during the Marking or Mating of their Mate.

An Alpha Wolf exhibited heightened aggression, yet there was no conceivable scenario in which Daisy would acquiesce to this man. Her frantic scream conveyed her distress unequivocally. Alpha Kaiden was attempting to impose his Mark upon her, asserting dominion over what he presumed to be his.

No one was ever going to violate his younger sister in that manner.

He and Lark unleashed their fury upon the man, their royal Alpha blood surging as they engaged in a fierce confrontation. Lark extended their claws, transforming the altercation into a lethal contest of wolves in human guise, with claws tearing and rending into one another.

When Kaiden’s wolf, Loch, fully transformed, Lark swiftly kicked it in the head, demonstrating speed far superior to Loch’s. He then shifted into his large black wolf, standing a foot and a half taller than Loch.

Despite directing all Alpha aggression towards his beast, it proved ineffective; Kaiden’s beast was utterly incensed by the obstruction to Marking his Mate.

They engaged in a fierce struggle, colliding with walls and furniture within the room. Lark bit Loch on the nape of his neck and hurled him against the wall, observing as the wolf recovered, shook off the impact, and snarled defiantly before charging at Lark once more. Lark, possessing superior strength and speed, evaded the attack, causing Loch to crash headfirst into the overturned bed. As Loch shook his head to regain composure, Lark pounced, claws digging into his back, attempting to subdue Loch and conclude the tumultuous confrontation that was ravaging the room.

Loch was engaged in a fierce struggle, grappling and snapping at one another, before he made a dash for the exit. Lark propelled himself with all his strength to prevent the wolf from escaping. Should he succeed, and encounter Daisy, his wolf would instinctively pursue her, attempting to assert dominance in its lupine form.

Not under their supervision.
