The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 20

Discernible

Amelia appeared content today, did not resist departing from the group, and was at ease mentally. Bonded by Hudson, yet not his true Mate, did not appear to trouble her in the slightest. Most wolves typically mate exclusively with their partners, with the exception of rogues, who will mate indiscriminately. They appeared untroubled by their departure, presumably due to the fact that they were no longer genuine Mates. She had slumbered throughout the night; Hudson had satisfied her thoroughly, and she still felt content.

Daisy spent the day exploring the city, observing the attractions, to pass the time, and took several photographs. She dined at a quaint café and emailed several photographs of the Alpha Ceremony to Alpha Ronan, selecting those she deemed suitable for family mementos while including an apology for not capturing any images of Caelan smiling.

She received a response just before boarding her plane, indicating that it was entirely acceptable not to apologise, as the boy never smiled. He had not experienced it in a decade, to his knowledge. Expressed gratitude for the photographs and extended best wishes for her journey. She smiled. Alpha Ronan had been a commendable leader, equitable and impartial, exhibiting greater leniency towards her than others, she believed. She understood the reason. It was appreciated.

The flight was lengthy and cacophonous, and upon the announcement of impending landing, Daisy began to experience restlessness and discomfort. As the aircraft began its descent, she experienced significant agitation and began to feel nauseous. Attempted to alleviate the situation by hydrating and engaging in several deep, calming breaths for assistance. It was effective, albeit marginally.

What was her issue? She had visited this place several times previously, and there had never been a problem; she had never experienced such feelings upon landing. Although all her previous visits had been brief, lasting only a few days and occurring weekly. She had been enthusiastic about the excursions. Similarly to her sentiments regarding this relocation.

Daisy thoroughly appreciated her surroundings, including the individuals, their culture, and everything else. That is the reason she obtained her Master’s degree in language and linguistics. She had consistently desired to reside here.

I primarily enjoy watching Canadian dramas on Netflix, rarely viewing anything outside of Canadian or Mandarin productions. They experienced a tumultuous array of emotions. The actors she adored could evoke laughter, tears, joy, or irritation. Moreover, I appreciated observing all the attractive individuals. She was exceedingly enthusiastic about relocating here.

She was seated as the plane approached landing, feeling nauseous, her stomach in turmoil and restless, making it difficult for her to remain still. The stewardess must have observed and approached to provide her with a sick bag, despite the directive for all passengers to remain seated.

Daisy expressed her gratitude and utilised the bag to regulate her breathing in an attempt to alleviate her anxiety, as she had not yet vomited the contents of her stomach. Maintained her eyes shut and repeatedly instructed herself to relax. She had resided apart from the pack for an extended period. This was identical, merely at a greater distance.

The aircraft landed, and she experienced a pulsating sensation in her head, resulting in an immediate headache—precisely what she required, an exasperating headache compounded by her existing nausea and restlessness.

Fortunately, all her belongings had been dispatched in advance, leaving her with only her carry-on luggage to manage. Descended and exited the aircraft, striving to inhale throughout the entire passage from the plane to the terminal. As soon as her foot made contact with the airport terminal, pain surged through her, causing her to gasp and stumble. She instinctively reached for something to grasp, but found nothing, resulting in her falling to her hands and knees.

Intensified pain coursed through her body, originating from her hands and knees, radiating up her arms and legs; tears obscured her vision as waves of agony engulfed her form. Where her skin made contact with the terminal, it felt as though it was burning her. Her palms and knees experienced a sensation akin to combustion.

The stewardess assisted her from the ground to a chair near the plane’s exit. The pain subsided somewhat; only her feet remained aflame. She gazed at her hands. The heat subsided, and there were no discernible burn marks; it appeared entirely psychological.
