The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 2

She now perched on the balcony railing, consuming her breakfast, a solitary piece of fruit, as is her custom.

Today, although she would not attend her Luna lesson, she no longer perceived its significance. She requested him to decline her just yesterday. This was the third time she had enquired this year. He approached his father regarding the issue as she had requested. He was unable to, and seemingly, she was as well. His father had declined, fearing that if the council were notified, Alpha Ronan would assume her father would approach them and disclose the information. Caelan could face not only the revocation of his title but also severe punishment, or if deemed necessary to set a precedent, given his Alpha lineage, he could be executed. Caelan had not dismissed her to preserve his own interests.

Caelan had instructed Alpha a week prior to disclose the events of that day and the rationale behind her actions towards him. Once more, she had been unable to disclose it to him.

Daisy concentrated on her studies thereafter; it pained her each time he issued an alpha command, and this was not the first occurrence. Upon obtaining permission, she was permitted to remain on campus. Caelan would be indifferent and pleased by her absence for several years. She would likely discover a she-wolf during her absence, and once he did, she could dismiss him; that was her escape, and she desired it. She secretly hoped that this would occur, despite the intense pain it would cause her. It would extricate her from this Mate Bond.

He was indifferent when she ceased attending her Luna lessons and did not enquire about the reason. It was never mentioned.

HALF A YEAR LATER

Caelan entered the room visibly irate and directed a fierce glare at her. His Alpha aura emanated powerfully as he gazed at her, compelling her to instinctively bare her neck. However, it had not sufficed for him. “What prompted you to treat me this way?”He shouted at her, exerting his Alpha presence over her.

Daisy was compelled to kneel, excruciating pain coursing through her body. She was no longer attempting to resist, having learnt that it was futile; nonetheless, it still caused her pain, and even her wolf, Amelia, was now whimpering in distress.

“I…I did not,” she gasped, her voice betraying her anguish for all to hear.

“You did,” he bellowed at her. “I command you to explain why you inflicted this upon me.” His Alpha aura surged over her in successive waves.

Daisy was prostrate on the floor, her head touching the ground in utter submission, tears streaming down her face, while excruciating pain throbbed in her head; Amelia was curled into a tight ball, howling in agony. Discomfort was afflicting her entire body. “Caelan, I did not do this to you,” she replied, having been compelled by all his efforts to respond. She was incapable of deceiving him and had never done so regarding this matter.

Regrettably, this was not the initial occasion on which Alpha had commanded her to disclose the events of that day, yet it was the first instance in which she perceived it might genuinely be fatal. She could perceive the scent of her own blood, observe it on the floor, and sense it trickling from her nose as she lay prostrate before him, overwhelmed by his dominance.

Mason entered the room abruptly, shouting at him to observe his actions. She reminded him that she was his Mate and that she could not endure it physically. Caelan appeared completely indifferent. Mason had to inform him that it would result in her death if he did not cease. Only then did he release her and exit their room, forcefully closing the door behind him.

She lay on the floor, slumped and weeping, her body racked with pain, rendering her immobile. This time, it had been excessive. Mason consistently came to her aid. He was Caelan’s Beta and had been her lifelong friend, with no recollection of a time when he was not present to assist her. She consistently appeared to sense when she was in distress and promptly arrived.

He lifted her from the floor and held her in his lap. “He does not intend it, Daisy.” He is simply quite perplexed,” he attempted to convey to her.

However, Caelan was not perplexed. How many instances would it require for him to believe her? Even under the authority of his Alpha command, she was unable to respond to his inquiry.

That was the day she last communicated with Caelan. He had never apologised to her, not even once. He sought answers, but she was unable to provide them. Daisy immersed herself in her studies and had submitted her application to her desired university, awaiting her acceptance or rejection letter. She had avoided him whenever and wherever possible. She could not genuinely despise him, as he had never physically harmed her; their predicament, which neither desired, was imposed upon them by the wolfen laws that would result in his title being revoked.

One morning, a month after he had commanded her to such a low state that she believed she might perish, she awoke to find him near her. It was somewhat peculiar; he had never slept beside her, and since that day, she remained firmly on her side of the bed, at the edge, distancing herself from him as much as possible.

Three months until her eighteenth birthday.

Daisy refrained from participating in the organisation of her 18th birthday celebration. She had not conversed with anyone for four weeks; she was aware that others were beginning to scrutinise her, but she felt it was sufficient. When will it conclude?

She was lying in their bed, having exited it, and was simply gazing out the window.

“What is the matter with you, Daisy?”He enquired, appearing exasperated with her.
