The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 192

Borrow

I collected her, as she was evidently unfit to be ambulating. Utterly fatigued, he recognised her ongoing suffering, as he experienced a persistent, mild chest pain himself, likely a consequence of the silver blade that had pierced her. Her body continued to respond to the injury despite the removal of the weapon and cessation of bleeding.

Mason was unequivocally aware that she would not relent; he felt compelled to take her, despite his instincts urging him to return her to bed. Caelan was prepared to be thoroughly irate, yet she would proceed alone if necessary. Her decision was resolute, and the radiance in her eyes conveyed everything. She was exceedingly irate this time.

Fortunately, he was aware that no one in the pack secured their vehicles within pack territory; most simply left the keys in the ignition, as theft was unnecessary when one could easily borrow or request permission and receive an affirmative response.

The majority of pack members are willing to assist others. Even Caelan’s Maserati remained in his garage with the keys in the ignition. Conserved time by eliminating the need to retrieve them during an emergency.

Mason placed her in the front passenger seat of the nearest vehicle and drove to the detention facility.

Her eyes remained shut throughout the journey; she appeared exceedingly pallid. He found this unsettling and sensed his agitation growing regarding her condition, which he suspected was more severe than she was indicating.

Connected to Caelan, ‘Caelan, proceed to the cells.’ Daisy is on the verge of confronting Rose. I was unable to prevent her from radiating, as she is quite ill.

“Damn it, Joe, she requires hospitalization,” he retorted.

“I understand, Caelan, but she is exerting power from her.” Even Maurice stood before his staff, shielding them from her. I believe nothing will impede her progress. I am also contemplating that perhaps… Based on my sensations in this vehicle, it was not her Alpha Aura that she projected towards them; I do not perceive that; it is something different.

“I am en route,” he sighed. They both recognised that she was part wolf and part something else, presumably a magical entity based on his current perception of her. Despite her eyes being closed, she emanated heat in waves, and a faint luminescence radiated from her closed eyelids; her eyes retained their glow, indicating that her power, whatever it may be, remained active.

Although she wished to conceal the severity of her condition from Caelan, the foolish girl was exerting herself to the utmost, presumably utilising all her available strength to be present and undertake this endeavour. She remained uncertain of Caelan’s significance to her, thus she refrained from disclosing it; however, it was imperative for Caelan to understand that he was her Mate.

The heat emanating from her was undulating through the air in the car. It did not significantly impact him; he could merely perceive it, sense it. It was not directed at him, and he was relieved, as he did not welcome the prospect of her actions being targeted at him. If this represents her in a state of subdued anger, what would her full-blown fury entail?

Hearing Rose’s ludicrous account of Daisy being a murderous villain intensified his fury, particularly upon learning that the woman claimed to have witnessed the act. How was that feasible? John was currently alive; the deranged individual was in the adjacent cell. Alive and breathing, gazing directly at her, he was not deceased; he was her Mate. It was Daisy who was sustaining him during this period.

If it had been left to him or Caelan, that scoundrel would be deceased by now. I would not have endured two minutes alone with either of them. Subsequently, upon hearing Rose’s actual voice, it was revealed that she had Mated Caelan and Daisy. His anger was superficial. Even Lark was prepared to sever her head, as this woman had harmed his sister and their closest friend, eliciting a ferocious snarl from both of them. Caelan had perpetually despised this woman.

She had been the source of his torment throughout Caelan’s Mating with Daisy, and she was now candidly confessing her role in their predicament. This woman was aware of her impending death.

Desired one final opportunity to harm Daisy, presumably Caelan as well. She derived immense satisfaction from asserting her superiority over Caelan during that two-year span, frequently invoking the Wolfen council to manipulate him into acquiescing to her demands whenever she faced rejection from him or his parents. This avaricious individual deliberately orchestrated this situation to elevate her rank and indulge in unlimited pack funds.

She was destined to perish; Caelan anticipated the pleasure of decapitating her, having sought justification for years. There was no more compelling motive than to inflict pain on Daisy, jeopardising her and her future Alpha.

The woman’s misguided reasoning reverted to the ludicrous belief that Daisy would murder John, a conviction she had held since the girl was twelve years old. Rose was a malevolent woman who openly expressed her enjoyment in repeatedly applying heat pheromones to Daisy, inciting Hudson into a mating frenzy with the newly transformed 16-year-old girl, while Mason was aware that Daisy had never had a boyfriend. This would have been her inaugural experience.

Daisy’s condition upon Caelan’s awakening was unsurprising; this disturbed woman had provoked his Alpha Wolf into a mating frenzy with a girl so young. Mason was genuinely relieved that neither possessed memories of the event, as such recollections would likely have inflicted significant psychological trauma on both, hindering their ability to move forward.

The silver handcuffs elucidated the scars on her wrists and the reason her wolf had refrained from resisting or intervening, yet she must have removed them from Daisy at some juncture; it was implausible for Daisy to have marked Caelan without Amelia’s presence. Ketamine is not readily accessible. It is not surprising that they lacked recollection of it. This individual was undoubtedly destined to perish.

When Daisy abruptly screamed in a fit of rage, intense waves of heat emanated from her, twice as potent and rapid. Even from his position slightly behind her, he discerned that her eyes were aglow, perceiving the sudden brilliance radiating from her visage. Observed Rose’s eyes widen significantly. The unfortunate woman was entirely unaware of Daisy’s true nature and the significant power she possessed. At that moment, Mason clearly recognised the significant power involved.

Daisy possessed genuine authority, and her fury was directly channelling that power, akin to when she forcefully slammed her bedroom door, causing it to splinter, as she had done that day outside the cells when she confronted him directly. Her Alpha Aura emanated from her, radiating with her intense anger. Her emotions evidently activated a latent aspect of her personality, previously unknown to them. It is probable that one individual in this group possessed the knowledge.

Daisy’s declaration to Rose, “Let me be the malevolent being you perceive me to be,” was utterly shocking, followed by her forcefully snapping Rose’s neck. At that moment, he sensed the Alpha wolf within her, harnessing the full strength of her wolf. He had never witnessed her inflict harm on any living being throughout his life, believing that life is invaluable in all its manifestations. It appeared that this was no longer the case.
