The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 191

Deliberate

She observed through her tears as Selena turned and gazed at the lake, gesturing with her hand as if manipulating something, and then sensed the passage of time elongate. It appeared that she was contemplating the matter, after which she nodded and lowered her arm.

Turning to Daisy, I stated, “Alright Daisy, I present you with a choice, which will not be easy to make.” If you made the correct choice. Make an informed decision. I will confer upon you the authority to bestow a Mate upon Joe, contingent upon your return and the selection of the appropriate option.

Daisy declared resolutely, “I will return,” as she rose from the ground. “What decision must I make?””

“Ah, that is something you must determine independently, Daisy.” Let us simply state… At this juncture, only one of you can attain happiness. “If everything is disclosed, perhaps all will find happiness.”

“Everyone?””

Your decision will impact not only yourself but also many others in your vicinity. It will be challenging. Are you prepared to return, Daisy?“

“Indeed, I shall return for Mason,” she affirmed with a nod.

Selena chuckled gently and elevated Daisy’s face to meet hers. You are truly exceptional, my child, possessing a profound capacity for compassion and forgiveness. “You embody your mother,” she stated, then leaned down to kiss her on the forehead.

“You will release Mason, correct?”Daisy called out to her as she was rapidly thrust back into the enveloping darkness of the location.

“You,” the goddess’s voice resonated from a distance, fluctuating in clarity. “Yes.” She was retreating, yet had not captured the woman’s name, “Amelia.” Then, she vanished. The world is merely a diminutive speck in the distance.

She experienced excruciating pain in her chest, a suffocating weight pressing down on her. She screamed as she felt her ribs buckle under the pressure, and her eyes flew open. Two dark green eyes, imbued with a faint luminescence, scrutinised her; Caelan and Hudson gazed down at her. She would recognise those eyes in any context.

“Daisy,” he expressed profound relief upon seeing her gaze directed towards him.

“Caelan…,” she sighed his name, “Mason?”She enquired, needing to ascertain his whereabouts.

“Right here,” she heard Mason’s voice say.

She was exceedingly fatigued, could perceive darkness encroaching at the periphery of her vision once more, felt a pair of arms envelop her, recognised it was Caelan, and leaned into him. She had returned; she was capable of rectifying it and felt compelled to do so.

Subsequently, darkness enveloped her.

Mason’s Perspective

Attempting to persuade Hudson, alongside Caelan, was no simple task. They were distraught and consumed with fury regarding the incident. Daisy and Amelia, being their Mates, had not only been assaulted but also with a silver blade directly to the chest.

They had experienced her suffering, and she had not yet discovered what they were destined to become.

Mason recognised their perception of impending loss, and before she comprehended their significance to her. He attempted to persuade them that she was stable, as the bleeding had ceased. Amelia was recuperating now that the dagger had been removed. He remained anxious; she continued to experience pain, which he could sense.

However, Daisy was alert and conversing. It must have been a favourable indication. He was unsurprised that Hudson had attempted to kill Rose’s wolf, especially following the unprovoked assault on Daisy.

Mason was surprised that he could not detect Rose’s wolf, as she had concealed her scent. It appeared to be an attempt to escape. The border patrols were highly unlikely to intercept her, as they could not detect her approach. Even if she had evaded them, they would have informed Caelan, who would have mobilised all available warriors to pursue her for the purpose of personally eliminating her.

He was not astonished that Hudson had adopted a Lark persona, as it prevented him from achieving his vengeance. As the Alpha Wolf, he possessed the authority to kill her, and as her Mate, he felt compelled to eliminate this woman. Lark defended himself solely, unwilling to engage in a full-scale Alpha confrontation with him. Neither party required engagement in combat at this moment.

Both experienced anguish regarding Daisy’s condition. Mason recognised that Caelan and Hudson’s anguish would surpass his own, yet he experienced equal distress over her near demise.

His heart continued to ache; with each beat, it yearned, as much as Caelan did, to be present in that hospital with her.

Tucker intervened to halt the conflict between them and Mason’s father, utilising his Beta aura to compel Rose’s wolf to revert to her human form, leaving her with no alternative. She was forcibly removed, exclaiming that her actions were necessary and attributing the blame to Daisy, asserting that punishment was warranted for her transgressions against John.

Mason sighed; the woman was evidently as deranged as John. Daisy had not wronged John; he had assaulted her. The girl had been absent from this pack for the past decade, departing peacefully in a state of indifference, and had returned solely due to Caelan’s insistence. Subsequently, Wesson had assaulted her unexpectedly, followed by John himself attempting to murder her. Daisy could not have harmed John in any manner.

Mason returned to the hospital, aware that Caelan was not yet prepared to confront Daisy. His anger and fury still lingering, he refrained from approaching her in that condition, especially since his ire was directed at Rose; it could inadvertently affect Daisy as it had in the past. Whenever he had been displeased with Rose previously, he had directed his frustration towards Daisy. He would no longer permit himself to engage in that behaviour.

Mason was appalled by the sight of Daisy traversing the hospital corridor. She had already established a mental connection with him to inform him of her intention to rise from bed and proceed to the cells, pleading with him to locate Caelan and persuade him not to kill Rose on Daisy’s behalf, indicating that she was coming to assist.

Mason instructed Ella to return to the pack-house, advising her to refrain from involvement and to avoid the conflict, as Caelan and Hudson would attack anything that stood between them and Rose’s wolf. He wished to keep her away from Hudson during his outburst. To depart and ensure safety. She advised him to avoid injury in return and subsequently consented to go to a secure location.

Daisy was now upright and ambulating. Maurice stood a short distance from Luna’s suite, arms outstretched protectively, with his staff positioned behind him to shield them from her actions. It was likely that her Alpha Aura had emanated towards them when they attempted to intervene, and he observed that her eyes glowed at the periphery.

He was profoundly astonished to hear her assert that he could kill Rose and that she was indifferent. Provided that she obtained answers from the woman first. He intended to kill her, and he was aware that Caelan would do the same.

Mason observed that she appeared exceedingly frail, ought to remain in her hospital bed, likely required sedation for recuperation, and needed to pause to engage in deliberate breathing. He experienced discomfort in his chest, suggesting she may not be as well as he presumed. She informed him that she was indeed quite unwell but would rest after conversing with Rose. He consented to escort her, and she indeed consented to return to the hospital immediately thereafter.
