Her entire body was heated, and her back felt as though it were ablaze; she observed Rose’s eyes widen in astonishment as she gazed at her. The woman was engulfed by fear. Daisy approached the woman and seized her face. “I did not desire your demise,” she hissed directly at Rose. “Allow me to embody the malevolent being you perceive me to be.” She then forcefully twisted the woman’s head in a swift motion, leaving her suspended, motionless, and lifeless from the hook in the ceiling.
Upon hearing John’s scream from the adjacent cell, she turned and exited, ascending the stairs before forcefully pushing open the door. She felt her anger dissipate, taking her vitality with it; she recognised that she was finished.
Caelan approached, sprinting towards the cells. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, aware that he would hear her. “It’s all my fault.” She then collapsed onto the ground, drained of energy and strength, having expended it all on that dreadful woman. She felt a pair of arms envelop her as she was laid down on the ground.
“Daisy.” Mason gazed down at her, tears welling in his eyes. He comprehended that it was too late, and his countenance was imbued with sorrow.
“Inform him, Mason, everything… Caelan, convey it to him.” She exhaled deeply and surrendered completely to the darkness.
The atmosphere was warm, accompanied by a refreshing breeze that caressed her skin, enveloped in a gentle luminescence resembling a sparkling white haze.
The air was fragrant, imbued with the aroma of night-blooming jasmine. Daisy sat upright, the grass beneath her hands felt soft and pliant, akin to velvet. She stood in a clearing, a small circular area, with a lake to her left that shimmered in a brilliant, crystal-clear blue, captivating to behold. Glistened as if a myriad of stars were suspended on the surface.
A woman stood by the lake. She was tall and slender, adorned in a flowing pale blue dress. Upon turning to gaze at Daisy, her long black hair appeared lustrous, radiating in the surrounding light. Her complexion was moonlit pale, and her eyes were the deepest shade of blue Daisy had ever encountered, resembling the night sky, sparkling like a lake filled with a myriad of stars.
Her beauty was striking, rendering it nearly difficult to gaze upon her; however, a warmth and affection emanated from her. When she smiled gently at Daisy, it evoked a sense of belonging, as if she were home. “Daisy, I have been awaiting your arrival,” her voice, tender and affectionate, summoned her. “Approach me, my child.”
Daisy stood, irresistibly attracted to the woman, approached her by the lake, sensed more gazes than just hers, turned her head as she advanced, and noticed a pair of green-silver eyes glowing in the darkness of the surrounding forest, observing her.
“She will not inflict harm upon you.”
Daisy nodded, acknowledging the eyes of her wolf, Amelia, which were strikingly beautiful. “Where am I located?”
“In my realm, child. We must converse, you and I.
“What is your identity?””
“Who do you believe I am?”She smiled at Daisy.
Daisy surveyed her surroundings again, observing the woman who exuded a radiant aura of power while simultaneously embodying kindness and gentleness. She contemplated the phrase “Selena, the moon goddess,” concluding that the woman could be no one else.
“You possess a brilliant intellect.”
“What is my purpose for being here?””
“To provide you with an option to return.” However, it will be exceedingly challenging for you to return.
What is your meaning?Daisy enquired with a scowl.
“Do you wish to return?” “Let us address that first.”
Daisy directed her gaze towards her wolf. She observed Amelia at the periphery of the woods, her beauty evident as she smiled directly at her wolf. “May I stroke her?”
“If you wish,” Selena gestured, prompting Amelia to approach and position herself in front of Daisy.
She had never previously been able to caress her own wolf, a desire she had long harboured. Kneeling on the ground before her wolf, she extended her hands, gliding them over the wolf’s face while smiling, then moving up to her ears and gently scratching behind them. Amelia advanced and caressed Daisy’s body before taking a seat beside her.
Daisy remarked, “You are exceedingly beautiful, Amelia.” Few have had the privilege to pet their own wolf.
“Are you aware of the purpose of her markings?””
“Indeed, it is the emblem of your guardian.” One for you and your wolf, and one for the man fated to perpetually safeguard you. I bestowed him upon you at your birth.
“What is the reason?””
“At your mother’s behest,” she replied succinctly.
“My mother?””
“Hmm,” she remarked, “However, our purpose is not to discuss her.”
“Mason has always been my protector,” she reflected.
Affirmative.
Daisy exhaled audibly. Something was in contact with her chest. She gazed downward, yet perceived nothing. “Why has he not yet located his Mate?””
Daisy abruptly enquired, he was a virtuous man, and he and Ella were exceptionally compatible.
“You may find the response to that unsatisfactory, my child.”
Daisy directed her gaze towards the moon goddess and asserted, “I can manage it.” She had already navigated numerous challenges in her life; what was one additional burden?
I had to remove his Mate to ensure he could concentrate exclusively on you and no one else. Only you can accomplish this, provided he has no Mate.
Daisy’s eyes widened as she gazed at the woman, tears accumulating in her eyes as her heart ached profoundly for Mason; it was unjust. She did not desire that for him. “Release him,” she implored suddenly, grasping the moon goddess. “I do not require him.” Allow him to discover his Mate.
“In his absence, Daisy, you would have perished mere hours after your birth.”
“Then you should have allowed me to perish,” she murmured, utterly despondent for Mason. How could she permit him to remain bound to her, cognisant that he would never possess a mate as a result? “If I were to die at this moment, will he acquire a Mate?””
“No, what is completed is completed.”
“No,” she exclaimed. “I do not accept that.” Tears cascaded down her cheeks as she knelt, gazing up at the moon goddess. “Please, I am aware that you can bestow him one.” “I implore you,” she entreated her.
Observed her gaze directed downward, remaining silent while slowly shaking her head in a negative gesture.
“What will occur?” I am confident that you can discover a solution. “It is determined by your actions.” Daisy clutched the woman’s dress and implored her.
“I am willing to undertake any task.”
