“Yes, I was in the zone.”
“I know, I could see that, it’s coming along nicely,” he said, returning to the portrait. “Though I think you missed the little bit.”
“I have not.” she interrupted, holding up her pallet. “Right there, that tiny bit of light green, I will do it last.” she pointed to a small amount of green paint with her paint brush.
He didn’t think she’d miss his dark green eyes with a light green around the pupils, just wanted to tease her because she was so cute and showing him she knew what she was doing.
How can I help?” she asked.
“Nothing much. It’s what I can do for you,” and her Canadian items arrived.
Mason was down the front gate escorting humans in. It was a shipping container full of her belongings, but no one here would like them on pack territory.
That would be?He heard her heart beat increase as she turned back to her portrait.
He smiled and put his mouth to her ear, teasing her with a deep, husky voice. And heard her heart rate rise. He laughed softly, “Not that.” He teased, “Though if you asked me to, I wouldn’t say no Daisy.”
“No,” she said firmly, as if trying to persuade herself or Amelia.
Caelan wasn’t offended because he knew being this close to her and talking about s*x was physically affecting her. “Pity,” he murmured and leaned away. “Your belongings have arrived from Canada.”
Surprised, she turned and looked at him “Really.”
He nodded, “Mason is having the shipping container brought up as we speak.”
He smiled back at Daisy as she smiled at him.
He wanted to tell her, hoping to make her smile and look at him. She was lovely.
“Where will it go?She suddenly asked.
I don’t know,” Caelan said. “Haven’t gotten enough room in here, that’s for sure.” He looked around.
Not all will fit. Store it until I can move out of this room.
Caelan returned to her, her smile gone and his, ‘I’ll find you somewhere appropriate, soon’ it would fit in his suite with a wardrobe full of clothes and some toiletries in the bathroom. How much space do you need?”
“Until the studio is built, a two-room flat or cottage would suffice. My art and I have separate rooms.”
“Outside the packhouse? He frowned at her.
“Yes. Under other circumstances, that would be normal, right?”
Caelan sighed, “For a normal she-wolf yes.” But she was not normal; she was his Luna, he just didn’t know it.
“Why can’t 1?She asked directly.
He calmly said, “Because I want you in the pack-house for the time being.” He wanted her in his Alpha Suite, in his bed. It was mostly empty except for basic furniture, so she had plenty of room.
Daisy was now staring at him. She probably wanted an explanation, which he wouldn’t give her. Three days until the full moon, they could talk, and she’d understand. “I’ll see what’s available within the pack-house” he said, not looking because it would be a waste of time moving her twice. Though he knew the first floor was empty except for her and there were more than 1 or 2 suites down here, including one across the hall.
The Alpha floor had plenty of space, but he didn’t like the balconies in all the suites. He frowned, his suite had a full wrap-around balcony like Mason’s, and he didn’t want to lock it down from her. He needed to get used to the idea of her on it.
However, who knew how long it would take him to convince her to take him back, if he could.
“You know there is a solution.” She said.
That would be?”
Please let me choose where to live.”
He nodded and gave some leeway, “Maybe a good idea, I’ll show you a couple of rooms later.”
“Not what I meant.” She frowned.
Daisy is as good as she gets. I’m sorry. I apologise for the inconvenience, but as a Luna-ranked wolf, you should be housed in the pack-house for safety.
“Safe from who? From whom am I at risk? She asked him directly, annoyed.
“I won’t fight Daisy, I’ll find you another room, isn’t that enough?”
“It would be better if you relinquish your order on me.” she snapped at him.
“I’m sure it would.” Caelan nodded, but with that order on her, he knew where she was every night. “Mason will have your things brought up and let you know where he’s put the shipping container.” He turned and left the room. He was upset that she mentioned his order and didn’t want to fight.
He knew he had to release them all.
He hated losing control over her. Why would she stay if he let them all go? She could leave anytime, day or night. His concern was whether she would stay on her own, and once he did, he would release them.
She had eaten all of her meals in her room for the past two days, and he didn’t like that she had shut herself away. It wasn’t healthy to be locked away from the pack, even though he knew it was mostly because of John. Caelan didn’t like it.
Caelan returned to his office, Pack run was tonight, but he reluctantly let Amelia out because Hudson might mate her. That one thought made Hudson snort.
‘Likely?’ in his head. He hadn’t seen his Mate in days. Having not seen Amelia in wolf form in nearly a month, he wondered how she felt about not being let out and if she was used to it. She rarely appeared and didn’t seem to interact with the pack.
That stopped him, even though she trained with Belinda. Like Belinda, Ava, and Sonja, she had been training with her family without knowing it. He wanted to ask Belinda how that went, but she was also in her room.
He shook his head, they seemed so similar.
‘Ella.’ he thought, ‘come to my office please.’
‘Yes Alpha.’
She took ten minutes to walk into his office in gym clothes, and he raised an eyebrow?
“Training day.” She said.
