The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 168

Pool

“What has influenced your behavior?”She enquired, exasperatedly rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Breakfast would remain warm and plentiful. As the pack’s Beta, Mason could likely occupy the pack-house kitchen and consume whatever he desired directly as it emerged from the grill, pan, or oven, and no one would object; they would probably just laugh.

“I am famished, Daisy,” he smiled directly at her.

“Aren’t you?” His tone was one of complete certainty.

Daisy turned to face him directly, a frown etched on her face; she had not misheard the implication in his voice. He observed her mark spot with intent, then laughed and raised his eyebrows at her.

“I observe that you have engaged in some activity.” You must be famished.

Daisy sighed, as it was evident he was aware it was Caelan 5 and had known prior to entering; there was no possibility he would be exhibiting such exuberance if he had to inform Caelan that she had engaged in s****l relations with another individual. The absence of Caelan conveyed everything. “Let us proceed,” she murmured, disregarding his remark. Secured a hairband and fashioned a braid over her left shoulder to conceal the mark on her neck.

Mason scoffed at her, saying, “That will not assist you.” He examined the opposite side of her neck, touching a spot just below her ear. “You have one here as well,” he remarked, grinning at her.

“Enough, Mason,” she retorted, unconcerned about him, but rather focused on the one over her Mark Spot. Most wolves would avoid that area unless it was their Mate; even unmated wolves engaging there would not leave a mark.

“Hurry, I’m famished.” He seized her, and she gasped as he abruptly lifted her and threw her over his shoulder, sprinting down the hallway towards the dining room.

“You’re insane, put me down,” she shouted at him, hearing laughter and glancing up to see Ella descending the stairs. “Ella, save me; he’s lost his mind.” She extended her hand towards her friend.

Mason turned to her and said, “Ah, she may join us for breakfast as well.” He then grasped Ella by the wrist and began to pull her along. Ella beamed at Daisy, pleased with the situation, but raised an eyebrow at her. Daisy shook her head, indicating her confusion regarding the circumstances.

Mason seated her in a chair, positioned Ella in the adjacent chair, and departed to procure breakfast.

What is occurring?“Ella murmured.” Nonetheless, smiling.

“I am uncertain; someone repeatedly knocked on my bedroom door.”

Daisy gestured towards the man, who was yearning for substantial nourishment. Apparently, he has a hangover.

She exclaimed, “Wow.” If this is a hungover Joe…” she smiled at Daisy.

Daisy smiled at her, “Indeed, you divert his attention.” “With all your possessions,” she remarked, directing her gaze at Ella’s figure, “I am utterly fatigued and merely wish to retreat to my bed.”

Ella narrowed her eyes at her. “You didn’t…not again?””

Daisy shook her head, perplexed by the situation. She was uncertain about the reasons behind Caelan’s behaviour, as he consistently exhibited anger or annoyance towards her, yet appeared exceedingly content to join her in bed the previous night and the morning prior.

Mason reappeared and placed plates of food before them both. “Eat up,” he grinned at them while seated across, smiling at the two as he consumed his breakfast.

“Mason, what is happening? You are excessively… I cannot comprehend this.” Daisy shook her head.

“I am merely having breakfast with two of my preferred individuals; is that not permissible?”“Ella smiled directly at him. ‘Am I one of your favourite people?’””

“Indeed,” he winked at her, “Now Ella, I have a favour to request.” “Since you are present, he gestured to the chair beside him and said, ‘Please take a seat.'”

Daisy observed as Ella promptly rose and swiftly moved around the table to occupy the chair he had prepared for her. She seated herself in it and repositioned it nearer to him, aligning herself closely beside him. She smiled at him and said, “I will grant you any favour.”

“It may lead to complications,” Daisy remarked with a smirk. She observed Cole and Alex already gazing in this direction. On a typical day, Mason would probably have breakfast with both of them. In addition to Caelan.

Although she did not observe Caelan at their table this morning.

Ella regarded her, “I am indifferent to the trivial desires of the Delta.” Mason holds a higher rank than him; I am willing to grant the Beta whatever she desires.

Daisy observed Mason as he turned to Ella, a smile adorning his face, leaned down, and softly growled in her ear, “Really now?””

I observed Ella blush, heard Cole snarl from his seat, Mason turned to face him and then erupted in laughter; he appeared to be a source of torment for everyone, seemingly indifferent at that moment. His gaze returned to Ella, “I may indeed accept your proposition,” he chuckled.

“Kindly proceed.” Ella smiled at him unabashedly. Subsequently, in front of everyone, she seized Mason’s face and kissed him passionately. Daisy observed Cole rise, and Alex seized him to prevent his departure. Cole evidently opposed Mason kissing his younger sister. Bit her lip and awaited the repercussions. Numerous pack members observed her, some gazing directly at her, clearly pondering her opinion on the matter, likely still believing that she and Mason would ultimately become Mates.

Daisy merely shrugged at them, exhibiting indifference, which she genuinely felt. Mason was obtaining his desired outcome at that moment, although she observed that his hands remained firmly on the table while Ella kissed him.

Daisy presumed, based on a technicality, that he was still adhering to Cole’s regulations, as he was not to initiate contact with Ella; rather, it was Ella who was making contact with him. His gaze was fixed on hers as she ceased kissing him, a smile adorning his face. Ella turned and gazed directly at her brother, seemingly challenging him to speak, Daisy contemplated. She was correct; MASON did possess a higher rank than him.

Elia then resumed her seat and smiled at Mason. “What is the favour, Joe?”

“Oh,” he appeared to have overlooked it.

Daisy laughed, and he momentarily glanced at her before redirecting his attention to Ella. “Caelan requested that I arrange for someone to spend time with Daisy; I believed you might be interested in doing so.”

“Certainly, but what about my employment at the pool?” You are aware of lifeguard responsibilities.
