The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 16

Transformed

He informed them that Daisy had formally rejected him and that their Mate Bond ceased the moment she turned 18. She voluntarily departed from the pack and immediately demoted them to their original status of insignificance.

I instructed them to vacate the premises and return to their previous residence or depart from the group entirely. Karen’s eyes nearly protruded from their sockets, yet she audaciously asserted that all her possessions, referring to every ostentatious item she had ever acquired, would not fit into that house.

He appropriated everything for himself and dismissed them empty-handed. He ignited the house, observing it incinerate, permitting no one to extinguish it. He allowed containment to prevent it from impacting the remainder of the pack, yet he refused to halt its destruction. Subsequently, once it was reduced to ashes, he departed from the scene.

Currently, there exists a scorched area of land devoid of any structures. His father permitted the adolescents to utilise it for bonfires on weekends. The location continued to experience frequent fires.

His mother and father were not surprised by his actions or the destruction of the house; they appeared somewhat relieved. Despite their fondness for Daisy, they had grown weary of her avaricious family and their incessant demands. That insufferable family believed wealth was inexhaustible.

The sole source of satisfaction and immense pleasure for him had been the act of prowling through that cursed mansion of theirs by the lake, a residence that Karen had insisted upon acquiring as part of her role as the future Luna’s mother. The morning of Daisy’s eighteenth birthday. He had waited until that day, lingering throughout the night, prowling and anticipating, aware that her precise time of birth occurred in the early morning hours. At sunrise, he approached and forcefully kicked in the door, nearly dislodging it from its hinges.

Upon the announcement of Daisy’s name, she ascended the stage adorned in cream chiffon slacks and a pink silk-capped sleeve blouse; her hair was styled in a loose bun atop her head, with several strands cascading down to frame her exquisite visage. Mason was correct; she had blossomed into a beautiful woman. She was once more adorned with modest heels and cosmetics.

She had never donned such attire during their Mating, typically opting for jeans and t-shirts or shorts and t-shirts. Upon moving in, she possessed only one dress, which she wore solely when instructed for formal occasions; it was merely a simple dark blue sundress.

Daisy had never purchased anything with his money, nor had she utilised the prepaid card he provided her, which contained unlimited funds. Place it in a drawer beside the bed and leave it there. Did not desire it. Did not sign the card at all. He had never enquired as to the reason.

Upon noticing the tattoo on her neck, I was nearly overwhelmed with frustration, wishing to seize the woman and admonish her for defacing her skin in such a manner. He scarcely restrained his fury regarding the matter.

Heard the members of his pack exclaim, “Oh my goddess, it’s Daisy.”

“What is her presence here?””

“although Caelan had already struck her.”

“Astonished that she had the audacity to return.”

He had channelled his anger regarding her tattoo and confronted the pack, growling at them, his Alpha presence emanating strongly; this situation was already challenging. If they were not compelled to listen, they would remain silent. He was indifferent to their opinions regarding her. They were entirely unaware of the events that transpired between him and her, and it would remain so.

Lydia was also unaware of Daisy’s significance to him. He had never mentioned who his previous Mate was. He had observed her gaze linger on his scar numerous times, yet the woman was astute enough to refrain from enquiring, likely deterred by the expression on his face whenever he noticed her scrutiny. It consistently provoked his anger when she gazed at it.

She was poised to pose enquiries he was unwilling and unlikely to address. He will likely provide an exceedingly crude response regarding the matter, unequivocally. If she possessed sufficient intelligence, she would refrain from interfering. If she anticipated him to yell at her and bear the brunt of his anger, that was her concern.

Daisy extended her hand towards him, palm facing upward, as the others had done. He was unwilling to harm her; he had witnessed sufficient bloodshed to endure a lifetime; he could sense his jaw twitching as he gazed into her light grey eyes. They appeared somewhat distinct, exhibiting a silvery hue along the outer edges and prominently featuring silver flecks, reflecting brilliantly in the light’s glare.

“It is acceptable, Alpha,” her voice was gentle yet comforting. He disapproved of her referring to him as Alpha, having consistently addressed him as Caelan.

If you choose not to. I will comprehend if you choose to render me disloyal.

Caelan felt an overwhelming urge to confront her for her statement, made publicly, and it became evident that she genuinely intended every softly articulated word; she would accept it and refrain from judgement. Who is she presently?

The ambiance throughout the ballroom transformed. He sensed it. The silence he had elicited from growling at them had now intensified. All were anticipating his action. He recognised that his entire pack not only believed he would act but also anticipated his actions towards her. He intended to do it last, allowing everyone to witness his actions.
