The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 145

Faction

A complete minute of silence elapsed in the room. She refused to relent or apologise, as he had assumed the responsibility of collecting her, thus rendering it his fault. She sensed Mason’s gaze upon her, and he was aware that she was explicitly defying the Alpha.

It was uncharacteristic for any pack member to act thus without facing consequences, yet here she was, positioned directly before him, prepared for the first time to assert her position against him. A fire within her was ignited and required to blaze intensely. Daisy had consistently submitted to Caelan and his desires. However, not today. She was confident he would revert to his previous behaviour, as it was not the first instance, but an inner desire compelled her for him to attempt it once more.

Daisy recognised that she would confront it immediately, fully aware that it would incite a significant dispute; however, she was indifferent, as she was determined to assert herself against him for the first time.

Mason implored, “Daisy, please apologise.” He appeared to comprehend that she would not proceed either.

“No,” she declared bluntly, maintaining her gaze on Caelan, observed his anger escalate slightly, then shifted her attention to Mason. “I did not request the Alpha to retrieve me or compel me to depart from Thiago’s.” I am uncertain; please remind me. If I were departing independently or compelled by the Alpha to do so against my will, do you understand, Mason?Daisy was quite certain of what it was. Caelan continued to experience concerns, making it highly probable that he had forcibly removed her from his club without her consent.

Mason was currently scowling at her. He disapproved of her overt defiance towards their Alpha and her scrutiny of his intentions, redirecting her gaze to Caelan as a low growl escaped him. His evident displeasure at her remarks and her direct enquiries regarding him and his actions to his Beta had escalated his anger exponentially. He appeared to be seething at this moment. What else is novel? However, he appeared to remain silent in her presence.

She enquired directly, “Alpha, which was it?” Would you be willing to help me fill in some gaps in my memory? She enquired, disregarding the anger; she had encountered him previously, and he was merely inclined to impose his presence upon her.

“Leave,” he growled directly at her. “Proceed to your chamber.”

Daisy stood, reflecting, indeed, treat me as the child I once was, and then she turned and exited his office. She did not hasten her departure, instead ambled leisurely, indifferent to his thoughts at that moment. She recognised it was not merely an order, but rather a demand, yet she complied, aware that failure to do so would result in consequences later.

She had provoked him, yet, for reasons unbeknownst to her, he restrained himself. However, she was aware that difficulties were imminent. It was only a matter of time before he entered her room and yelled at her. It appears she merely had to await it.

It was highly improbable that she would evade consequences for questioning him and his authority. As the Alpha, he possessed the authority to act according to his desires, and his pack members were expected to comply without question.

His failure to respond to her inquiry conveyed significant meaning, indicating that he had indeed arrived at Thiago’s and removed her without regard for her wishes. For his own foolish reasons.

Caelan’s Perspective

Caelan was exceedingly displeased with Daisy. She immediately apologised to Mason without any hesitation; however, she merely stood there and stared at him when he informed her that he had not been the one to take her home.

Despite Caelan informing her that he had been responsible for her return, she did not apologise for the affront she had directed at him. Rather, she merely expressed her gratitude for his accompaniment to her residence.

Given that she had apologised to Mason, it was highly probable that she was aware of her statements. Subsequently, her posture and gaze directed at him were notable. He was aware that she remembered informing him that he was overly uptight.

Subsequently, to simply turn away and depart as if the conversation had concluded, implying that she had no further remarks on the matter. He was dismissed without receiving that apology. “Is that the entirety of your response?”He retorted, thoroughly exasperated that she had not apologised, had insulted him, her Alpha, and was now denying she had even made the remark.

She remarked that she had expressed gratitude to him and subsequently attempted to convey that she did not remember being escorted home, which was utterly implausible. She indeed remembered, but failed to recognise that it was him, seemingly due to excessive intoxication.

Caelan rose before he began to yell at her in front of the entire pack. “I will meet you in my office after breakfast,” he stated brusquely. He required a moment to compose himself; her behaviour necessitated intervention. She could not afford to become so intoxicated that others might exploit her, much less attempt to disrobe her in public. He would not tolerate that.

He believed she ought to consume something prior to their discussion, as it might assist in clarifying her thoughts, though he was sceptical.

I received a mind-link from Alex shortly thereafter, informing me that she had referred to his entire Alpha Unit as ‘AII A*s-holes’ in front of the pack, prompting him to sigh and rub his temples. What is the origin of this new attitude?

“Joe, bring Daisy to me immediately.”

“Cannot; she has already fled, Caelan,” he remarked with evident amusement. “I anticipated that Alex would report the affront and she would promptly escape into the woods.”

For the sake of the Goddess, ‘Go and retrieve her, Joe!’

“Certainly, Caelan, I shall pursue her; however, would it not be more enjoyable for you and Hudson to undertake that task?””

“Beta,” Caelan retorted. If he were to pursue her, it was probable that his wolf would copulate with her in plain view, while in human form.

I heard Hudson snort in amusement and detected further amusement transmitted through the link from Mason; that damned man, what was he scheming? He understood that Caelan could not afford such risks, and regarding copulation in human form outdoors, it was utterly implausible; she was prohibited from being unclothed outside her bedroom, a rule she had always adhered to. What is the reason for a change at this moment?

Ten minutes elapsed, and Caelan remained in his office, awaiting MASON’s arrival with her; it surely could not require such an extensive duration to apprehend her. Despite possessing Alpha blood, it was conceivable that she was swift. He had not observed her sprint in human form for ten years.

“Joe?”He established a mental connection with his Beta.

‘Mhm,’

“What are your current activities?””

“I am pursuing my quarry,” he growled softly in response, as Caelan sprang to his feet. Wolves engaged in hunting prior to mating. Expletive! Will Mason engage in copulation with her in that location? He departed from his office immediately. “Where are you located?”’

“Stalking.” His voice was somewhat too husky for Caelan’s preference. He utilised the mental tether to locate the two individuals. They were both relocating to the Caelan faction of the pack, not far distant, and he departed. Pursuing them to prevent his Beta from publicly mating his former Mate.
