The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 130

Impassive

Is that the reason? Did her differences cause him to cease loving her?

Numerous questions remained unanswered, questions that only he could elucidate, she surmised, and she desired those clarifications. She required their support more than ever, yet she was now betraying those she wished to protect. He was merely a patrol officer, but what was her mother? She possessed no knowledge regarding her; he had merely informed her that she was beautiful and possessed a benevolent spirit. She possessed both her eyes and temperament, yet perhaps she was not conventional.

She was unaware of the duration she spent weeping on his chest, or of the subsequent silence when she ceased, reluctant to distance herself from him. He had consistently supported her. Why was it another matter she did not comprehend?

Mason

“Indeed, Daisy,” he uttered gently.

“What is your significance to me?””

“That is a challenging inquiry to address.” “I, too, find it incomprehensible, Daisy,” he sighed gently.

At least he comprehended her implication, “I am not normal, Mason. There is something amiss with me.”

“No, there is not; however, there is a matter we must address with you.”

“Are we?”“She inquired.”

“Caelan and I.” It is time for the three of us to convene and converse.

“Caelan?” What is the reason for Caelan?“She enquired, somewhat perplexed.”

“As the Alpha, he will determine the course of action based on your decisions.”

I find you incomprehensible. “You are not making sense, Mason,” she said, distancing herself from him and sitting up to observe him, only to notice movement by the window and blink in recognition of Caelan standing there. Was he present the entire duration? She had seldom wept in his presence; Mason, however, had frequently witnessed such displays. However, not Caelan.

Observed him as he traversed the dimly lit room and settled beside her bed, merely gazing at her. She was unable to interpret his expression. The experience was somewhat ambiguous. Gazed from one to the other.

“Joe is correct, Daisy; we must converse with you. “What you are about to hear will not be easy,” he sighed, glancing at Mason, who nodded, and then observed him rubbing his temples. “It will be difficult to comprehend and to endure.” However, following today, it is imperative that you listen.

Daisy merely gazed at him. He had never communicated with her in this manner previously. He appeared discontented regarding the information he was about to convey. “It is better to articulate it then,” she sighed. “I suppose I deserve this.” She recognised that she had assaulted the pack Beta, who was present to administer her punishment, as she presumed.

He gazed directly at her, a frown indicating his confusion, then shook his head and sighed deeply, “I am not here to impose a punishment, Daisy.” What transpired today. It was peculiar, to say the least, but we shall investigate that matter another time.

“However, I confront Mason.”

“Indeed, you did, but you did not inflict any harm upon him, and Mason does not desire your punishment.”

Her gaze shifted from Caelan to Mason, who offered her a reassuring smile. “It’s acceptable, Daisy; you have numerous responsibilities.” It would devastate even the most resilient individuals.

“I feel shattered,” she confessed.

“Mason, we cannot proceed with this at present.” Caelan abruptly stood up.

“Caelan, if you exit this room, I assure you I will confront you and inflict severe harm, as we previously agreed.”

Daisy’s eyes expanded in astonishment at his assertion. He explicitly threatened Caelan, his own Alpha, with physical violence. She had never anticipated that occurrence, as they had always maintained a close relationship. The most peculiar aspect was that Caelan stood there, gazing at his Beta, seemingly neither offended nor surprised by his remarks.

She observed alternately between the two, anticipating the unfolding events, while even Amelia remained vigilant to evade the impending confrontation between the Alpha and Beta that erupted in their room.

Caelan’s gaze shifted towards her, “Damn,” he muttered as he resumed his seat, “very well, Mason, but it could potentially exacerbate the situation.”

“Let us expedite the process; the sooner, the better, as per our agreement regarding today’s circumstances.”

As far as Daisy was concerned, they were engaging in circular discourse; however, they had previously reached a consensus, which no longer existed. He inhaled deeply and gazed directly at her. “Daisy, John is not your biological father.”

“What?”She negated with a shake of her head. Indeed, he is. My mother passed away during childbirth. I am named after her and all that entails.

No. That is entirely false. “I apologise; that was rather severe,” he appeared to wish to amend his statement.

“The situation was not truthful, Daisy, but John’s partner did perish during childbirth, and her name was Daisy, identical to yours.” However, you were not named in her honour.

She gazed at Mason, stating, “You are not making any sense.”

“Daisy, you were an orphan, and my mother entrusted you to John, integrating you into his lineage so that you would perceive him as your father.”

“What?” Negative! She declined with a shake of her head.

“Indeed, Daisy, I was the individual who discovered you. I was four, and you were solitary in the snow, with no one present.

“What?” What is the reason for your statement? She sensed anguish accumulating within her chest.

“Daisy, we must terminate your blood bond with John; that is the reason for our communication.”

“What?” He is my father. “I reject that.” She distanced herself from them, retreating onto the bed.

“Daisy, it is the sole option.” It is imperative that you place your trust in us. We would not intentionally cause you harm.

She emitted a derisive snort of laughter and directed her gaze at Caelan, stating, “Honestly, I am uncertain if I find that credible.”

Observed Caelan rise; his facial expression transformed immediately, becoming impassive and inscrutable. “I would not intentionally harm you, Daisy,” he asserted, his tone marked by a harshness.

She was gazing directly at him. He possessed numerous occasions.
