The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 13

Current Alpha

He was merely gazing at her. “Cease your actions, Daisy.”

“Then why inquire?”She urged him. She was not seeking s****l encounters; she had already experienced two shivers today, with the second being significantly longer and more intense than the first. She believed it would not cease, as the goddess had reached climax twice with it. That was more than sufficient.

“No reason,” he replied with a shrug.

“Very well, allow me to proceed and enjoy myself.” I seldom have the opportunity to socialise with my peers; what harm could a bit of enjoyment cause? She dismounted the chair.

“Please refrain from engaging in any romantic entanglements, Daisy.”

She turned and gazed directly at him, stating, “meaningless s*x.” “I have had sufficient of that to endure for a lifetime,” she declared, then returned to the dance floor, which she indeed did. That had constituted her entire Mate Bond with Caelan. S*x devoid of significance.

In addition to her shivers, she had all her needs addressed and did not exhibit any she-wolf angst, nor did she feel compelled to engage in indiscriminate s****l encounters. It was entirely unnecessary. Today, she has been alone in her room twice: once this morning before arriving here and again around lunchtime, during which she was able to shower, change, and eliminate the scent of her arousal.

Numerous photographs with the women, accompanied by extensive dancing and laughter; Mason appeared solely intent on deterring all unmated males from her vicinity, effectively asserting his Beta presence with each individual who approached her too closely. Foolish. She was an unpaired female wolf and, realistically, could pursue romantic relationships with any unpaired male in the pack or engage in casual s****l encounters with them, if she so desired.

Daisy. “We must depart,” Mason informed her.

“What is the reason?”She was reclined against his chest, her arms encircling his waist.

“It is nearly 2 AM; you must pledge your loyalty today,” he informed her.

“What is your inquiry?”She gestured with her hand towards the others nearby. They also did.

“Come now, you have consumed an excessive amount of alcohol.” You are inebriated and struggle to maintain your balance.

“I am inebriated,” she smiled at him, reclined slightly, and gazed upward, pulling at his shirt. “Dance with me.”

“Sufficient, Daisy.” Currently at home.

“I lack a home,” she sighed. “Not here, at least not until I reach Canada.” I currently possess a residence there.

“If you arrive,” he sighed and lifted her in a bridal carry, “return to your room.”

“Ah, you pedant,” she prodded his chest.

“Mm, the Beta recalls,” he stated while transporting her outdoors. The nocturnal atmosphere was pleasantly cool.

“You seem uptight,” she chuckled. “As Caelan does.”

“Cease that behavior,” he admonished, frowning at her.

Daisy grasped his face and manipulated his mouth with her hands, stating, “I have a stick up my a*s,” followed by a giggle as she leaned into him, appearing somewhat drowsy.

He withdrew his face from her hands. “When did you begin to behave like a toad?””

“I always have been,” she sighed, nestling into his large embrace. “Will you tuck me in?”She stifled a yawn and shut her eyes.

“Hmm, I suppose,” was the final statement she heard from him.

Daisy awoke in her bed, fully clothed but without her shoes. She smiled and shook her head; he had placed her in bed. She then remembered informing the Beta that their new Alpha was excessively uptight. Apologies. The potent wolfen alcohol consistently liberated her speech. I am here for only 24 more hours.

She questioned whether Mason would inform Caelan, as it would probably incite the man’s fury, prompting him to either pound on her door or force it open to exact retribution. This would not be the first instance in which she endured the majority of his wrath. After showering and dressing, she had missed breakfast. It was approximately 11am, with the ceremony scheduled to commence at 3, thus there was no urgency. She could run and release Amelia. She sensed her wolf approved of the notion. It is advisable to obtain permission first, as I have not visited this place in years.

“Mason?”’

“Yes,” he responded immediately.

Is Amelia able to go for a run?She enquired.

It is advisable to refrain from this proximity to the ceremony. Subsequent to ‘Yes,’ I find no reason to disagree.

She sighed, “Alright,” acknowledging him.

“Daisy, it appears you will be last today.”

“What a surprise,” she nearly chuckled. “It’s alright, Mason; I comprehend.” Do you believe he would object if I captured some formal photographs of the ceremony? I am certain that his parents would desire them.

“I see no reason against it, merely…”

“I possess an excellent zoom lens,” she concluded, aware that she needed to maintain distance from Caelan.

“Understood.” He severed the connection.

Given the cordial reception she received from Caelan yesterday, she was not particularly surprised that he had positioned her last to pledge loyalty. It was typically executed in a hierarchical sequence. It appears she held a diminished status in his perception. Did not wish to encounter her or engage with her. She had granted him his freedom, yet he remained vexed and irate with her.

Retrieved her camera and dedicated time to cleaning it and ensuring it was in optimal condition.

Positioned at the rear of the ballroom, she captured photographs of him attired in his formal suit, noting the traditional pack colours. He appeared well, yet despite being the current Alpha, the man did not smile. Neither at his father nor at his own mother. They, however, both smiled proudly at him. Even Lydia appeared content and proud of him. Did he ever smile?
